  1. Seems pretty cool, I'm going to try it out.
  2. Seems funny. I may or may not try it out, when I'm very bored.
  3. Heya- welcome to fuwanovel! Hope you have fun here. So you helped with Umineko, huh? Pretty nice~ If you want any suggestions, check out my 50 VNs list <3
  4. I liked Black Bullet, but I disliked it at the same time- I think they failed miserably whenever they tried to make a scene related to government administration and politics, the fight were on the weak side, the way they handled the characters was cliche and the drama was cheap- normally, I'd give this kind of thing a 4, but they put it all together nicely, somehow. I'm sticking with a 6.5 that I enjoyed as if it were an 8. Of course, this is just my opinion- even with it's flaws, since it managed to be enjoyable, I guess it isn't that bad.
  5. Decided to use koishi as an avatar, huh. Best touhou char <3

  6. I don't know about that. I've played tons of slice of life VNs so far and Clannad isn't anywhere high on that list, really. I would say it's in the bottom 50% of them- even for a slice of life, it was pretty boring at most times. I also enjoyed every other Key game more than Clannad, lol. Not enjoying one specific game doesn't mean you're not cut for the genre. So, about Tomoyo After. Too many pointless H-scenes at the beginning, specially (almost made me thought I was playing a key nukige). It does have a better pacing than Clannad, though- I enoyed the game, somewhat. Might be worth playing.
  7. Huh. I act as whimsical and self-important as I like, yet people aren't bothered by it... Somehow. I wonder, is this place is full of masochists? Or maybe I'm just that good of a princess? <3

    1. Kimanor

      Kimanor

      Too many tsunderes.

  8. That's tsukihime, isn't it? I may actually be wrong, my memory seems to have failed me. Pretty sure Hisui said something like that once, though. I'll be merciful here. "To rule time is to rule the world"
  9. Kaguya. Obviously. I am Kaguya-hime, after all <3 かぐや姫

    Hearthstone

Of course. You see a Yeti, you pick a Yeti~ You know the game is trolling you when you toughtsteal a blade flurry and a deadly poison at once. Funny fact, my second thoughtsteal did give me a perdition's blade.
  11. Oh, I've got a few friends because of VNs, if you can call them that. There are some companions I met at fuwa who are a blast to talk to~ Your story is pretty nice, though. So sweet <3
  12. Ok. The question was answered and there's nothing more to add here- everyone had fun enough, I'm closing the thread.

    HI!

Welcome to fuwanovel! I hope you have fun here~
  14. Someone may want to fix that entry on Visual Novels on the lexicon, though- Kinetic Novels are a type of Visual Novels and there aren't any choices in those- this lexicon entry suggests that every VN has choices.
  15. No, it's fine. Pretty sure we've had this discussion at least 3 times already, and it will happen again. This sort of topic always shows up again and it tends to create some nice discussions. I'm more inclined to agree with Rooke there- as you can see in my original post, I did say that eroge are technically games with erotic content. after all. Don't think they're only used for VNs.
  16. Phoenix Wright really isn't any of the three- they just put it on VNDB as an exception since it has some VN elements and it's very popular. A Visual novel is an interactive fiction game, featuring mostly static graphics, most often using anime-style art or occasionally live-action stills (and sometimes video footage). They somewhat resemble mixed-media novels. Took this from google, btw. Eroge is something a lot of people use to refer to visual novels as a whole (incorrectly, I believe), even the ones without erotic content. An eroge is technically an erotic game, I guess. Any VN with sexual contet counts as an Eroge. A dating sim is, as the name suggests, a dating simulator. I believe you.... Well, simulate dating in one of them! A dating sim is not a visual novel, although it can have VN elements.
  17. Obviously. We're niche, no one knows what the hell VNs are in the first place- you shouldn't be expecting them to know normal VNs. Weird games get more attention, but no one seriously analyzes a genre just because of them. You won't say soccer games are stupid because of goofball, you won't say simulators are stupid because of goat sim, etc. In fact, any VN getting mainstream, even if it's one about birds is a great thing. Let's people know the genre exists, at least. There is also a saying about how bad popularity doesn't exist. It's the same principle of why a bunch of celebrities do outrageous stuff for more attention- it doesn't matter if they're badmouthed like hell, they have more to gain by appearing in the news than they do by fading into quietness. Point is, This is totally fine. I really can't see why the future of VNs are ruined just by a couple of odd ones standing out.
  18. I don't think anyone was seriously afraid that thing would ruin the future of VNs. Everyone who sees it will just most likely take the whole thing as "a game for the lulz" like goat simulator and flappy bird. If they even bother checking it out in the first place. You should be able to... Most people don't even know VNs exist in the first place, you should get mostly curious stares rather than weird ones.
  19. Haha. I rushed straight for all bad endings in grisaia when I played it "as myself" besides Makina's. Though it was fairly obvious the choices would lead to bad endings. Playing as myself actually led to a perfect ending in Makina's route (which is rare, since I generally end up getting bad endings when I do that because I have this bad habit of not caring about the heroines.)
  20. Lots of them. For example, with that same choice in little busters, I picked run away without any hesitation. Having to go back and risk your life because of something like that is just the complete opposite of me. Generally, whenever you have to be heroic or act nicely to an annoying heroine (or any other character) I'd rather not do it. I always pick all choices in a VN, though, so it doesn't really matter.
  21. There shouldn't be any problems legally, since you can sell your stuff for whatever price you want to. Unless they were saying the game was never opened and it was, on which case it's a scam. There shouldn't be any problems morally as well (unless it actually was a scam), I can't see how trying to sell something at a high price would be evil. Well, I don't buy them. Yar-har, fiddle-dee-dee, being a pirate is alright to be, do what you want 'cause a pirate is free! you are a pirate~
  22. Uah, a wild bothersome person appeared! Quick me, use sleep!
  23. Oh, I see. Kind of a pity, it's amongst the best tld VNs, but I don't know how it would compare to most untld ones.
  24. Oh, I see. Thanks~ I may or may not be repeating myself here, but it'd be pretty nice to hear your thoughts on this one. It had it's fair share of cliches, but it was one of the cases where I think the later seasons managed to be better than the first ones. The pacing was pretty weird at the beginning, after all.
  25. What? Can't I be lawful good? I wanna be a paladin so I can eviscerate people with my shining sword of justice whenever my magic alignment detector tells me someone is evil! Jokes aside, I think I fall into neutral evil. Order and chaos don't matter, all other humans are tools to get what I want (in the case of everyone at fuwanovel, entertainment) and after I got that, they're disposable. Life is much easier if you think like that. Before any questions, I do remind you all that moderators cannot derail threads. We only take them in a better direction.
