I finished basically all of the english-translated VNs out there, and I'm currently reading a few JP ones, but if you can find something I haven't read yet, sure. That would be even better.

My backlog always ends very quickly, so it's always good to have new suggestions~

I did a quick browse through fuwan's otome section. While quite a few games have an actual story, in most of the cases, the romance (if you can call it like that, since, specially on the yaoi ones, the contet is quite rapey) is the biggest part of it. You could possibly enjoy them, depending on how you feel about the genre, but overall, there are many "common" translated VNs I would recommend to you before jumping into this kind of thing, nohman. They are not bad, but even if you just don't feel anything towards the genre, you'll have to skip like 30% of the scenes just because they won't interest you. If you actually dislikes the genre, it would be even worse. If you want to follow through it, Yo-Jin-Bo seems to be the one with the highest amount of story. And it's an otome, not a yaoi, so I guess it will be easier to you. The story of those games isn't magically better. If I had to say, they're about the average VN, just for a different public. As I said, I'd just keep going with the normal VNs, though. There are still many kamiges for you to play before going to the highly experimental stuff~

You need to show up.

When a VN that I really liked ends, regardless of it's conclusion. I reeeeally like seeing bad ends, and I find them very fun, so I wouldn't say there's any particular moment which stood out like that. A few with very intense feelings, but not really sadness

Words of wisdom by axionazure. I don't get how it suddenly becomes "pure" after switching the genders, but I guess the world has mysteries that I don't know of yet. That said, Axion route totally feels like a pre-requisite before entering batman's route, not the opposite O.o

My reaction to the above: tl;dr I seem to be losing my enthusiasm for the IRC lately. A pity, since it's quite a fun place. Hopefully I'll start paying attention to it again sometime soon.

that's fine. "Can have a decent amount" = not as much comedy as nichijou. Anything less than that is fine, for all genres I'm only going to be actually picky with the "not centered around X" ones.

I was almost sure there is a thread about suggestions already, but I couldn't quite find it (I didn't do the most through research one could do, though). Point is, I want to watch a new anime. And this time around, I'm quite picky. I want a suggestion that will include the following: 1_ Not centered around romance or comedy (it may still have some of those elements, though they can't be main points of the story) 2_ Needs to have a good plot twist (or multiple) 3_ Not centered around moe or ecchi stuff. 4_ Isn't reliant solely on drama to keep the story going (can still have a decent amount of it, though.) 5_ Will make me feel awe. 6_ Excludes the "sports" genre 7_ Has reasonably good animation 8_ Isn't reliant solely around action to keep the story going. (same as drama) 9_ You would rate as 8 or higher in a scale from 1 to 10. These are not usually what I ask for, but I just really feel like watching something like that. If you don't know something that fits all of my conditions, you can suggest something that fits most of them, but tell which conditions it excludes. Well, this is it. I'm looking forward to see what will come of this thread~
