Ero scenes are only thing that makes it only bad and not terrible in my eyes. But you know, there is a version without ero scenes. Why anyone would like to read this if not for ero I have no idea.

Just finished Nekopara...

At least four times, because every heroine have one outfit ero ecene that you can craft only in new game+. So you need to finish game once (any route) and then 3 times NG+.

Reading AstralAir. Just finished that part in common route about small girl and her brother crisis. Well, lets be nice and say, that it wasn't very good... Still have high expectation about the rest of this VN, but this was just disappointing...

This. For example I really didn't like Kana from Iroseka at first (pushy clumsy deredere), but her route was really good (and I started to like her eventually). On the other hand I really liked Isuzu from Hoshimemo from the start, but her route was a utter garbage (but I still like her )

Of course I don't skip voices. If one doesn't care about voices then why don't just read a book? Well, I know I'm exaggerating because VNs have other things that book doesn't but when I don't just try to fly to the end to have scene / route done, I definitely listen voices (and often replay them ).

Got new job. IT administrator assistant you could call it I guess. Well, formally it's just a training, but my duties don't differ that much of thats other employees have. Also it's second time in the same place and still just training. And now best part - you won't guess how high my wage will be:

I've seen this when it was announced on Favorite home page, but I decided to wait with hype a bit, because it was 1st of april, and I wanted to see first if it wasn't some kind of cruel joke. But now hype is real ^^ I wonder if it will have some worthwhile plot, or it will be just bunch of cute / ero scenes. Ending of Irohika felt quite satisfying, and I don't see any loose ends that could be continued in regards to Shinku route... But in fact - who cares about that. It's more Shinku so I will definitely want to read that either way

Started AstralAir - I'm loving it from the first sight ^^ But... whut? Is it a bit more difficult than Irohika, or my japanese skils got a bit rusty since those couple of weeks? :/

Despite of how some people may say Mare is the main heroine, not Yuki, and because she have scenes in all routes you need to read them all

Finished Katahane. Well, I would definitely say that I liked it, but at the same time I wasn't fully satisfied. The main problem for me was there is no good closure and catharsis at the end of Shirohane arc true (Coco) route. Visuals were very nice. I liked all of backgrounds, event CGs, and character sprites, but I suck a bit that (almost) every character have only one sprite (especially because some were quite weird...). Music was ok in Shirohane and quite nice in Kurohane. Also I have to say I liked ero scenes quite a lot. Normally with those scenes you just (ekhem) or CTRL-skip, because reading them is usually pointless. However here those felt just nice for read and feel cute. But that could be just me... Well to sum it up, I really liked Kurohane arc, but Shirohane was just ok. If I would get a nice finale then I probably would like it more, but oh well... If I would have to give score to this VN I think I would say 9/10 for Kurohane arc, and 7/10 for Shirohane arc. So overall it would be something like 8/10 for the whole VN.

Started playing XCOM Enemy Within with Long War mod. First terror mission and I was like "that's it, uninstalling" After 3 restarts and numerous save loads I finaly made it with 0 squad casualties but only 4 civilians rescued. Seriously, even on lowest difficulty this mod is just painfully hard >.<

I would say not length itself it the problem, but waiting for something you are expecting to get. For example in Grisaia if you started reading it after listening some recommendations you would probably expect something plot-heavy. But common route (and beginnings of heroine routes as well it seems) is nothing like that. Mostly you get cleanly cut comedy bits. It's not that bad but it's not what you came for. Another example - Rewrite. When I started reading this I expected standard Key style - comedy heavy long beginning followed by some nakige. That's why when I read this I didn't felt that common route is too long or tiring. However now when I know heroine's routes aren't that way I DO feel that common route is too long and a bit pointless. Also long common route is bad when there's really no point in it, for exemple after all character's introductions there is no personality development or plot, just showing mindless everyday life. Common routes of Hoshimemo and Iroseka are quite long, but they don't feel pointless because it's not like there is no plot in them, so I can't say I disliked them. But hey, it's just my opinion on that topic. Maybe others just want to get to selected girl's pants ASAP, so they don't like long common routes. Or have other reasons... ;p

Reading Katahane. Quite like it for now (but I'm not very far in yet). Graphics (especially backgrounds) are very nice, but having only one sprite per character sucks a bit. I also really like light mood that was present, at least until now. If only Wakaba wouldn't be so noisy and annoying...

That's a bit off topic... but how about mangas with romance going past standard school part, beyond marriage and into adulthood? Preferably male-oriented, don't really like shoujo romances... So, is out there anything of that kind worth reading?

I was re-reading common route of couple first VNs I read (including Muv-Luv Extra for example ), but now I usually skip everything I already read once. VN takes a lot of time even with skipping read text. However I would say that skipping, while time-saving, is not that great. In common route you have character introductions, and sometimes even beginnings of each route plot. For me when I finish one route and immediately jump into another with common route skipping, for the first couple of hours it often feel very awkward. Even if I still remember common route and everything related to current character that was already told, it really don't feel right, and I have problems getting my mind into new route at the start. That's because I didn't read introduction included in common route, and didn't have chance to enter 'the right state of mind' Well, I just wanted to say that while I don't re-read common route myself it's not like I don't see the point of doing otherwise...
