  1. You're right. We'll still lose a bit of context since three of the characters are clones of historical figures, and shudo is used specifically with bushi, I'll probably go with pederasty. Thanks for all your help.
  2. Just a note: Gaokao literally means High School Exams. It refers to the (very real) exam all Chinese highschoolers take to get into College.
  3. Context: Majikoi A-1 Yoshitsune and Benkei are girls. Yasuno Yoichi and Aoi Touma are boys. They're in the same class. Aoi Touma is hitting on Yasuno Yoichi. Main character, with the above quote, is asking Yoshitsune if she shouldn't do something about it. However, Yoshitsune doesn't understand what Shudo is. I'm starting to think I should just go with Shudo.
  4. lol typo. Sorry, in more detail, it's homosexuality, male on male (same age).
  5. I need it because in the next line Yoshitsune doesn't understand. Pederasty would work great, but its connotation is slightly off. Do you think just going with Shudo would be no problem here?
  6. 義経、いいのか? 与一が衆道にそまってしまうかもしれないぞ I need help finding the equivalent to 衆道. Basically, some way to refer to homosexualify in such a way that the average person wouldn't understand. Any ideas?
  7. I've recently used DMM, but I don't think it's a good option for those living outside of Japan. I don't remember them having any options that are suitable for foreign buyers.
  8. Yeah... not sure why those two are combined.
  9. Pumpkin Scissors. Randel one-ups himself every time he fights. It is NOT a good thing.
  10. Apparently I like Yuri. I don't see Okujou no Yuri-rei San, and I really liked that VN.
  11. VN. You don't get enough Kyou in the anime. Though if you're a bit short on time the anime will do fine.
  12. A lot of stuff I enjoy have already been mentioned. These are slightly more obscure manga that I enjoyed. Moyashimon Hare Nochi Cinderella Sekai Maou Opapagoto
  13. And they aren't? Jokes aside, if they didn't have excessive sexual themes I'd probably just classify them under General Fiction.
  14. I must say, I had the impression VNs = eroge back in the day, as well. And it's not particularly wrong, per se. There are good amounts of visual novels with sexual content after all. *Granted, I started my journey into VNs with a Nukigee, so that was quite certainly an Eroge This is just one of those things you can't figure out unless you actually go and do it though. Like what happens whenever you tell people to read Onani Master Kurosawa. Everyone looks at you like you're crazy, but if they ever actually read it, it's just so much more. I'd actually guess Symphonic Rain wouldn't be too bad a place to start. Never played the all-ages version of Deardrops, but think that might be good, too. And then there's always Ever 17, which actually goes out of the way to not show the sex scenes? Or was that just a version I was playing.
  15. I've sent the email. I look forward to your reply.
  16. Hi. I posted on the blogs, as well, but if I, say, translated Azumi's route during my free time, would you pick up translations from said random passerby? Here's a sample translation from the first bit: http://www.pastebin.ca/3024630 I'm aware I have some awkwardness going on with Western/Eastern honorifics. I'll probably go back and change any reference to "Miss Mon" or similar to just Mon-sama unless you have preference. And I'm terrible at spelling cloak.
