  1. The Western Visual Novel scene has a far higher percentage of women taking part than the Japanese eroge scene. That's why forums mostly dedicated to Japanese novels are dominated by men while forums like lemma are not. It's also part of the reason why there are so many otomes in the OELVN scene. EDIT: And as Fuwa becomes a more inviting place to OELVN developers we will naturally see more women on the board.
  2. Holo vs Kurisu final
  3. Good post. Also what you've cooked looks like what comes out of a dog when it's sick, SB. It's WAY too early in the morning to be looking at something that ... ugh. I'm gonna go have some porridge.
  4. Hello Clestae, feel free to call me Crook because it reflects my profession. I’m delighted to see more indie developers signing up, and look forward to reading that mystery VN you guys are working on. Good luck with that btw.
  5. What a wonderful biography. What a sucky blender.
  6. That's awesome news. Also surprising that we haven't had to wait long for this release *looks at Outlaw Django*.
  7. Romanesque is almost finished and available for pre-order! I'd be ecstatic... but I remember how long Yumina was available for pre-order for. Can't wait though!
  8. Comes down to your preferences in mechanics and content *shrugs*.
  9. Progress is being posted in the new translation thread on the "Ongoing Projects" board. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/6556-majikoi-translation-project/?p=165700
  10. EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE - Steambot Studios has begun its Kickstarter campaign for a transmedia project called Urbance. The studio plans to make the TV series, video games, artbook posters, comics, and original outfits of characters; the Kickstarter campaign, if successful, will enable the production of an animated pilot for the TV show. Urbance is intended for mature audiences due to its subject matter. In a crumbling city, sex has been prohibited because of the danger of a genetic virus. Men and women grow up separated from each other and form gangs. The youth subculture gathers in an underground nightclub called URBANCE to dance and drink. One man and woman become close to one another despite the gender wars. Steambot Studios, which is a collective of artists who have collaborated on TRON Legacy, Godzilla, X-MEN: Days of Future Past, Thief, and Batman games from Warner Brothers, hopes to raise a minimum of $189,000 for the completion of the pilot episode. At that amount, the team will make a six-minute pilot. At $299,000, it will produce part one of the first episode (at 13 minutes in length), and at $499,000 it will produce the full first episode at 26 minutes. Urbance will show a variety of characters' sexualities, and much of the cast is people of color. Should the Kickstarter campaign be successful, Steambot will bring on Hiroshi Shimizu to work on Urbance. Shimizu, an animation director and character designer, has worked on Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso, Michiko & Hatchin, and Space Dandy. "The character designs and the colors of Urbance are incredible," Shimizu said. "There is a charm that I don't have in my designs and I would love to develop." The Kickstarter campaign launched yesterday is nearing $35,000 as of publication. In 43 days on November 6, the campaign will come to a close. 11. Long Live the Queen is the top-ranked VN on Steam. Interesting.
  12. Early 3d graphics which are incredibly ugly is probably playing a factor.
  13. *Fufufu* Guess who won group A
  14. Personally? Well I only use Steam when I have no other choice and I go there with great reluctance to get games I can’t (legally) get elsewhere. Alas these new features will matter little to me, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy them while blinded by tears of frustration and overwhelmed with powerful feelings of shame. But it seems like a decent upgrade I suppose…
  15. That's the first thing that comes to mind. It's a fairly common problem.
  16. Here you go I wholeheartedly recommend it.
  17. Key don't write plot based stories, they write character driven works designed to extract emotions from you. Their plots are usually nothing fantastic.
  18. Tay's been very sick for the past few weeks and hasn't been able to do anything on Fuwa.
  19. Hardly any unfortunately. I've been on the same game for a month and a bit now.
  20. Having received a release on STEAM, Planetarian is starting to generate a few positive reviews from the gaming press. http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2014/09/12/review-planetarian-the-reverie-of-a-little-planet/103708/ http://www.capsulecomputers.com.au/2014/09/planetarian-the-reverie-of-a-little-planet-review/
  21. It may not seem like it at times, but I am very much cheering you guys on in your translation efforts. You're progressed much further than I thought you had, keep up the good work fellas!
  22. It's understandable you'd feel the way you did, I do tend to talk for him alot with hardly anything to back up my words. But I'm really uncomfortable releasing any information to the public he may not want known yet. I try and tiptoe around things but... I already feel guilty over the stuff I said in this thread. I think some stuff needed to be said though, but still it's not a good feeling. Because any backlash over my words will be directed at him, and now I don't know if I jumped the gun.
  23. It wasn't a good idea. If you want to be perfectly blunt, the mods jumped the gun. But I don't know whether they're aware of what Tay wants to do. His absence is causing some people to get a bit restless. I'm channeling my energy into proposal documents, for example. Otherwise I might lash out on the forum and Tay doesn't deserve that. It does. Before I got on here there was 3 pages full of angst. Anyway, Tay and I were PMing each other regards a G&C overhaul in July, I still have those PMs, so I thought I'd answer some questions if you wanted them answered. If you don't *shrugs*
