  1. I could have sworn I just heard Steve ask for a ‘male only’ themed contest. The sexier the better ...*fufufu* Sounds awesome Tay.
  2. You can always count on Lewy to bring the hot naked guy pics XD
  3. Why don't you tie this in with the 'member of the month' idea? So, either have a celebrated member of the forum request a specific type of banner? Or just pick a random (active) person on the forum and have them request a banner? Then that banner gets put up for a month as either a reward, or the prize for winning the lottery? EDIT: Let's not ban Rooke
  4. A sports theme to mirror the world cup. Rotating time themes (medieval, whatever the comparison period is called in Japan). Rotating 'punk' themes (Cyberpunk, Steampunk, decopunk, atompunk, yourapunk) A banner celebrating different types of heroines (Yandere etc) A banner celebrating different types of protagonists A banner celebrating Rooke - *hohoho* A theme where you have to take a heroine and make the background give off the completely opposite feeling (Yandere character on a deredere background)
  5. I suppose that's why the FEMALE dominated OELVN scene is flooded with otomes, which are filled with hot GUYS And no. I like my cold, smirking, evil, bastard avatar. It makes people keep their distance, and mirrors the intimidating gaze I possess in real life (the people who collapsed with laughter just now can knock it off. You know who you are.....)
  6. Excellent news. Considering the site was made by a woman, it's only right for the ladies to have male, eye-candy options.
  7. "Visual novels for the world" is quite vague, it could mean many things and suffers from obfuscation. It's the sort of statement you need an explanation for. It could mean, for example, 'the developers made these visual novel targeting the international audience'. If you have issues with the term 'West' just knock it out. "Make visual novels popular" is something that's aligns with Fuwa's goals, but more importantly is clear in its meaning.
  8. Less than 30 hours to go before the kickstarter ends. Sekai ran out of stretch goals a few days ago and haven’t been able to think up more, so reaching $100,000 is unlikely. It’s a shame, but $85,000 is a solid total with which much can be done.
  9. The porn industry used to be a moderately powerful industry, today it's on its knees. Sex doesn't sell anymore because with the internet you can get it for free.
  10. Nothing's been decided yet. Tay's looking for suggestions and ideas.
  11. There's plenty of awesome artists on Fuwa. I'm a little excited to see what they come up with :3
  12. Maybe expand the subject matter a little and make it a 'Key' theme?
  13. Now that Aaeru's no longer with us, Tay is head honcho. Not Steve
  14. That does sound mighty fun :3 Pity I can't draw . Excellent idea though
  15. He confirmed FF displays images fine, and this is the only site affected.
  16. If Reinstalling doesn't work, some people have resolved similar issues by installing Chrome Beta. But that's starting to get desperate
  17. Damn. Maybe consider reinstalling? And if that doesn't work, taking to it with a hammer is apparently quite cathartic...
  18. Adblock has been known to cause problems in the past. I don't know if it would cause the ones you're experiencing though
  19. Do you have any extensions installed on Chrome? Maybe one of them is causing problems?
  20. Good to see you Naomi-san :3 For the record, Rooke agrees with everything Naomi said
  21. Steve, you are not entitled to the things that give your life meaning. Sometimes you can obtain meaning through work or money or something else, but you are not entitled to them. Period. It is NOT for you to say who these goods are for. Furthermore, these packages cost millions of dollars to make, you won't get these products unless you fund not only the cost it takes to make the game, but more than likely the time that's spent putting them together. Any other option will decrease the number of VNs being released or decrease the quality in each title. You have zero knowledge of the book industry, then. Mid-list authors are becoming extinct, half because of publishing practices, and half because people don't buy the books. In the 80s mid-list authors were thriving, today they're dying out.The book industry has many problems and is a long way away from 'shining'.
  22. Once again Toranth is fudging figures. NO respectable 3rd party site esitimates FFXIII at having shipped 12 million copies, unless they're combining games within the trilogy. Furthermore, sales figures of 10 million and shipping figures of 12 million, would have made FFXIII the best selling Final Fantasy game to date. Congratulations are in order, I suppose. Only FF7 boasts comparable figures. The following report can be found in more mainstream sites, like Siliconera. This was written Jan 2013: Yoshinori Kitase, producer ofLightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, revealed some curious data during a Square Enix preview event for the game. After touting that the entire Final Fantasy franchise had sold more than 100 million units across its lifetime, he displayed a graph which singled out the sales of the Final Fantasy XIII games. “The combined total units shipped for the two titles was recorded to be 9.7 million units,” Kitase said. It's rare to see such explicit numbers; when Sony reported sales of the Vita, for example, it lumped the struggling system's numbers with the PSP. Here, however, Kitase's graph broke down sales and showed that, to date, Final Fantasy XIII has sold approximately 6.6 million units. While that game's numbers were the only ones shown, it's pretty easy to subtract 6.6 million from 9.7 million to find out sales for Final Fantasy XIII-2: 3.1 million. http://www.penny-arcade.com/report/article/lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiiis-creators-justify-a-third-game-in-a-se#/entry/signin
  23. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1336605/fullcredits?ref_=ttrel_sa_1 I have never made that assertion. CRPGs have changed, they are changing and they will continue to change. They just haven't changed the way YOU said they have. And once more I will point out that CRPGs chose to incorporate the narrative of tabletops, but without the ability to allow infinite freedom, the only choice was to allow limited freedoms within a more structured framework. It was the best approximation and when you can't imitate something perfectly, you make the best approximation you can. Bethesda games are open world and free play..... FFXIII sold almost 10, I think it reached 7 ish or something. But you are correct that Skyrim sold over 20 million, which more than doubled and possibly tripled FFXIII's sale figures. Says the person who entered the argument with the incredibly polite comment that my opinion was both blind and narrow-minded. Whether you respond to my posts or not is something that frankly doesn't interest me.
  24. EDIT - *Wrong topic* EDIT AGAIN - WEE on GOG! Excellent idea *goes to vote*
  25. Just started Sunrider and so far it's fun while being technically disappointing. The writing is quite weak. That's to be expected though, and I used to read plenty of fanfiction so I'm used to weak writing. I'll soldier through because it has been quite entertaining so far. It's very impressive for a free game anyway.
