Looking through the visual novel communities I found this site under construction which wanted to revolutionise the way things currently operated. Thought that sounded interesting and kept an eye on it.

Do You Remember Your Introductions?
Darklord Rooke replied to SanadaShadow's topic in Members' Lounge
I took notice of Fuwa back when the site was under construction. I joined because I was curious to see how far Aaeru would get in her campaign. Aaeru had an energy about her which I found curious, I sensed a revolution and I sensed excitement. It was a lot of fun seeing all the arguments she would get in with people, like Sanah for instance XD. She definitely stirred the pot, so to speak. I stayed because I feel at home with Tay's vision. I never made an introduction post, and never introduced myself to the community. I'll speak my mind when I have something to say. Some people don't like that but at least people know where I stand on issues. I don't make waves, I don't do humble well, I've never been an explosive individual on forums. I try not to do cliches but being original sounds like a lot of work... -
How Global is Fuwa (What country do you actually reside in?)
Darklord Rooke replied to Zalor's topic in Members' Lounge
Yeah. In the early 20th Century, the British Empire was the largest empire the world had ever seen. It covered more than a quarter of the globe and consisted of more than 500 million people. In each and every one of these places, english was taught to the citizens. Furthermore you had the richest countries in the world speaking english as its primary language. So you combine the sheer quantity of english speakers with the power of english speaking nations, and English is the obvious first choice for a second language because of the number of doors it opens. If Latin had been the national language of England, everyone would be learning to speak Latin by now. -

It's because England ruled the world, and therefore most people know English. It used to be French I think. In the future it'll probably be Chinese -
Bunny Black 1 translation patch released!
Darklord Rooke replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Raidy 2 was good, Raidy 1 had problems. Only for those that like old-school dungeon crawlers though. -
Bunny Black 1 translation patch released!

Does anyone know how this game compares to Raidy 2? I'm seriously tempted because I love dungeon crawlers, but there's very little info out there... -

[Non-serious post] That's because we do. For example every time I take a trip to America I'm forced to watch these weird American sports, and as a sport nut I constantly find myself in sporting withdrawal. And if that's not bad enough I also have to drive on the opposite side of the road. Not to mention there's too many intersections, America needs to build some roundabouts. Oh, and you guys spell funny. Grrrrrr [/non-serious post] -
Was terrible, seriously.

A fan translation of Dies Irae battle scene
Darklord Rooke replied to Conjueror's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Nah, far from it actually. There may be problems with his script, but his work is far different from the vast majority of fan-translations out there. Most fan-translations are so interested in keeping the authors style that they produce butchered english line after butchered english line. They seem to be completely unaware that if you do this, the only "tone" and "style" coming across is that of "foreign" or "young." They then talk about respecting the original author, as if making the author appear this way is supposed to be a compliment. Conjuror's actually reads competently in english, and I don't know if that has to do with the text or not but that automatically makes it different to almost every fan-translation ever produced. Which in turn makes me excited about his future career. -
It goes deeper than that actually. When LeBron James used 3rd person to describe himself people didn't think him weird, people thought he was an arrogant dick. Some psychologists link the usage of 3rd person with narcissism. Other psychologists counter with the example of Pakistan victim Malala, who they say is definitely not a narcissist. They claim it's used as a coping mechanism to help keep emotionally distant from problems. 3rd person isn't just viewed as weird, the connotations run deep and it's very complicated and confusing. It can invoke some strong, negative feelings though. EDIT: Goooooood. I don't like characters who do it either.

HEY HAS ANYBODY NOTICED THE NEW BANNER?
Darklord Rooke replied to Zodai's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
You're a genius Aneki. By following this method I can give the shits to every single TS-following staff member on Fuwa, then mock and laugh and point and dance as their ire slowly grows, then smile as I'm banned from the forums until the year "Two thousand And Until your corpse is rotting in the ground." How much fun will that be! It's scary how well you know my character 0.0 ... -

Pretty messy, too cluttered, the sort of result you get when you tell 5 kids in school to work as a group and draw a picture, and they set out all doing their own thing and going in different directions, but also trying to fill every available space with stuff. And then drawing over shit cause they ran out of space. Kinda unimpressed over here, and not something I really want to look at every time I access the page.
