Gah, everywhere I look I see untranslated games I want to play but can't >.<

Dengeki Stryker is a VN that not enough people have read IMO. It's not a masterpiece but I really enjoyed the experience. I can't wait for Mangagamer to TL Chou Dengeki Stryker. Utawarerumono was good fun. The gameplay is pretty basic but that just means it doesn't get in the way of the story. Ef is pretty much entirely Slice of Life. It also ignores a lot of opportunities to explore conflict between characters, so I found it to be a bit of a dry read.

Heh, since the Nuzlocke challenge specifies that your Pokemon are considered dead when they faint, I wanted to take a look at a society that battles Pokemon the the death a little more closely. Surely anyone involved in that would be a little bit...off...

Granted. However, the stress placed on the fabric of the universe by your wish reversal has caused a major reshuffling of the world as we know it. Everything is pretty much as it was, but thankfully you've been able to keep that plushie. I wish for this wish to be corrupted in a really elaborate way, because that seems to be cool right now XD

I've added the first two parts of my tale to the first post. They're decidedly more morbid than your average playthrough of Pokemon. Does anyone else play on writing anything? And is my log interesting enough for me to keep going?

I think that's fair enough. If my starter died I think i'd just leave them in the PC until after the elite 4 instead of releasing them.

That's exactly what I would do, actually.

Kai's actually writing a series of posts about this over at Deluscar. For me it's all about the feeling of the game/novel, though it being on VNDB helps XD Corpse party is a visual novel for me because a lot of the story is told with still images like most VNs. The gameplay isn't a big enough component to make it a video game. While Dangan Ronpa has a large gameplay component, because the gameplay only exists to facilitate the telling of the story and there are still images for the dialogue portions I still classify it as a visual novel. It's something you have to look at on a case-by-case basis. There's no set rule that you can apply to everything.

Granted. Your slaves immediately rebel because having slaves is illegal nowadays. I wish I could download knowledge from the internet. (I look forward to seeing what you do with this one XD)

If you enjoyed Clannad I would recommend taking a look at Tomoyo After. If you can get past the stupid amount of H-scenes in the first 20 minutes it's a really enjoyable read.

Unfortunately I don't have a 3DS and don't plan on getting one =( I haven't enjoyed the Pokemon games since Diamond/Pearl. I think it's mainly because i'm far more interested in the old Pokemon than the newer ones. If they released a game where you could visit each reach in order, starting with new Pokemon in each region (and being able to access your old ones when you had the right badges!), then I would buy whatever console that came out on. I would also buy a more Pokemon Coliseum-esque game with an actual story (scratch that, I would probably kill for one of those). Neither of those are ever going to happen though >.< *Edit*: Traditionally I choose the fire starters, though this time around I would go water because i'm not a fan of Fennekin's 3rd evolution.

Granted. It and all of your other Nvidia GeForce GTX Titans now have a fatal flaw that causes them to burst into flames when turned on or even touched. I wish I hadn't downloaded Pokemon Fire Red when I need to study >.<

A lot of people seem to be excited about the release of Pokemon X and Y, so I figure we should do something to celebrate (even if I don't own a 3DS >.>). I present to you the Nuzlocke Challege (official site here: http://www.nuzlocke.com/challenge.php). How do you take part? 1. Pick any Pokemon game you like and start playing it (don't own one? Emulate!) 2. You may only capture the first Pokemon you find in each area. If you beat it, too bad. 3. If a Pokemon faints you must release it. (prying items from their cold, dead corpses is okay though) 4. You are not allowed to train any of your Pokemon above the highest level of the next gym leader's Pokemon. 5. You cannot trade Pokemon with anyone not taking part in the Nuzlocke Challenge. 6. Post your adventures here! You can straight-up tell us what happened or craft a story to share, or even an in-character diary, perhaps. I'll keep everyone's journal in spoiler tags on this page. I'm not sure how many people will end up doing this, but I figured it might be fun =) *Edit*: Optional Rules: 1. Name your Pokemon after forum members. 2. Only use normal Pokeballs. 3. I did quite enjoy Heavy Rain so i'd planned on giving Beyond: Two Souls a go. I'll wait for a price drop though since i'm not exactly hurting for games to play.
