I'll be interested to hear what you think about A Tale of Melodies compared to the first season. Going to start watching 07 Ghost in the next few days. I ended up giving the Black Rock Shooter series a go and enjoyed it a lot more than the OVA. It's still pretty average though.

That's a pretty comprehensive list. I don't agree with some of the inclusions but you've probably captured a group of VNs that most people would like. If gameplay VNs were added there are a few I would suggest, like Dangan Ronpa, Corpse Party, Aselia the Eternal/Eien no Aselia, Kamidori Alchemy Meister and Utawarerumono. I would be interested to see a poll to determine Fuwanovel's favorite VN. I might go do that now. *Edit*: Only allowed 20 choices per question. So much for that.

Just finished both seasons of Ef. While the first season was a hell of a lot better than the Visual Novel and I enjoyed watching it, the second season really dropped the ball in a number of ways. I didn't like how the series tried to be artistic just for the sake of being artistic. It was really in your face the whole way through the show. *Edit*: Started watching Baccano. I hope the rest of the series is more straightforward than the first episode.

I've played Dangan Ronpa and Corpse Party on PSP and loved both of them. They're definitely worth your time.

I'm looking forward to Kanade's route personally, but I also think a Yui route would be very interesting. I wonder if the other girls will get routes (though a Yui route where she doesn't end up with Hinata would be weird >.>).

I read Visual Novels because they combine a whole bunch of other media into one. They're just a really immersive way of delivering a story. Choices are good if each route is done well, but I would much prefer one really focused story than 5 half-assed ones. One of the benefits of choices though is that they give you an opportunity to get to know characters a bit better. You see them in a variety of situations rather than just the route where you end up with them.
