VN where most of the Female characters are likable?
BookwormOtaku replied to crunchytaco's topic in Recommendations
Translated: Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru (the heroine I thought I was going to hate turned out to be my favorite) Grisaia no Kajitsu Majikoi series Untranslated: Tsujidou-san no Junai Road Magical Witch Academy Kansen 1 and 3 Kyonyuu Fantasy series (fair warning, you'll have to allow some time for character development for some heroines like Isis and Estoria) -

My favorite game of all time? If you're fine with me limiting to genre: JRPG: Final Fantasy 9 and Persona 4 Golden (tie). The former because it was the first Final Fantasy I ever played, loved the characters, and the music was great. Persona 4 Golden because aside from being an excellent expansion, I loved the characters, story, music and setting so much the replays almost never feel old (except for fishing for that sea Guardian, but not game's perfect) Honorable Mention: Tales of the Abyss and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue WRPG: Mass Effect 2, much as I love the trilogy, this one I felt handled the character focused story elements the best. SRPG: Vanguard Bandits. Enjoyed it for its characters, mech designs and music even if the requirements to get the good ending in the Kingdom route were BS. Also was my first introduction to the concept of heroine routes. Fighting: Super Smash Bros. and Melee (tie) The hours I sunk into battling friends and family in these games. My main was Pikachu. FPS: Goldeneye and Bioshock (tie). The former for the same reason as SMB and the latter because I enjoyed the story (and on a side note, I seem to be the only one who didn't hate Bioshock 2) and it didn't make me motion sick. VN: Majikoi series and Kyonyuu Fantasy series (tie). Love the characters, story, artwork and ero in both -
What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?

Gotten further into Vesperia PS3, rage quit the Secret Missions (you'd think jumping around so much Zagi would fall off the boat without my help ) and met the new character, Patty and she seems like a neat character so far. Shame I'm going to have to wait a bit till she joins the party. On a side note, could just be me but her voice sounds alot like Mayuki's from Comyu; wonder if it's the same VA... -
Looks and sounds interesting, just backed it, and good luck

Actually when I first got the game I did a blind playthrough where I just picked the choices that felt right to me and I got Kotonoha's happy ending too. In terms of routes that's the one I got the most enjoyment out of, with a few exceptions ( . Overall the game had enough for me to like that I can't call it a bad game or a waste of my time and money, but I can't help but feel there's potential for a much better game in this that was squandered. I'll probably end up getting Shiny Days whenever it comes out though since it sounds like it may be a bit more fun and maybe Setsuna will get a better story

Some weren't that bad, though there were still a good amount that made me laugh and/or facepalm at the atrocious looping of a few seconds of animation, the awkward pauses, the bad lip synching (this puts dubbed Godzilla movies to shame), and some laugh out loud flubs I've cleared the ending I was going for (Two Lovers) and I'm glad that the ending was one that was actually decent. Almost makes up for the clunky story pacing I had to go through

Nearly finished up with School Days...and boy will I be glad when it's over. It's not so much I hate the game, but I wasn't expecting to get tired of it so easily. Even taking several weeks break between playthroughs

Played a bit of Suzu's route in Ayakashibito...though so far it feels more like a Sakura route

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
BookwormOtaku replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
Playing Tales of Vesperia PS3 with the aid of a couple guides from some importers, a nifty little app that has the translated text from the 360 version paired with the Japanese text for reference, and my own (limited) Japanese knowledge to guide me. It's been an interesting play so far (albeit slow moving). -
I mainly use doujin moe and ehentai galleries
-
I mainly read H doujinshi though I have read some hilarious non H ones for Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night. I will say I'm quite fond of Persona 4 H doujinshi, really helps to fill in those heroine social link fade to blacks B)

If you want all ages how about the Sakura Taisen PC ports? -
Good luck and looking forward to this whenever it may be finished

So NTR is fine?

Nearly every ero scene in Black Cyc's Cthulhu and its fandisk. Too much of a focus on being extreme than with any other quality
-
Finished the first of Hounan's endings in Ayakashibito PSP and it was good, but it's really weakened by the fact that it's an offshoot of Touko's route.

Really? Really! release date announced

Well I've preordered since I like the series and Kaede's route was my favorite in the original game. I'll admit the series isn't even close to my top tier list, but to me it does enough right for me to appreciate it for what it is: a simple moege with fantasy elements. -
Then just skip her route, then, while it does reveal some things about Ryuto's backstory those reveals are also presented later and better in the later games. Not to mention the true route pretty much blows all the other routes out of the water story-wise, I don't think it's locked, and it gives Isis way better character development. There's also Gladys, my (very close) second favorite heroine in the entire trilogy. Also regarding Shamshel's route...it's not really a route, just an ending, she has a much bigger role in the true route.
-
Very good and I'd daresay it's a good way to end the trilogy. As for Isis, she gets better in the true route, trust me.

Yesterday finished the main story for Kyonyuu Fantasy Gaiden 2, all that's left is the ero filled epilogue B) . Today finally had some time to make a little progress in Hounan's route in Ayakashibito PSP; must say the interactions between her and Soushichi are interesting and in some cases pretty funny and do a good job in making you curious to see where things are going to go from there. Still, this game is serving as a painful reminder of how my grasp of Japanese is probably kindergarten level at best
