Yup that's the name. I agree with your opinion on the lowly rated ones. Aiyoku, oh right. Yandere last gave a patch to it 2 years ago, kinda iffy the area of is it dead or not. So. Might as well keep it on that list then.

Cool list. Btw untranslated is missing: Subarashiki Hibi and Aiyoku no Eustia

Moshimo Ashita ga Harenaraba can't start
Bolverk replied to Yuno-Gasai's topic in Voluntary Tech Support
Did you use a crack? Edit: I remember I had problems installing this game as well not so long ago. I had to install it at the default install folder and afterwards use a crack. -The torrent I used didn't have a crack with it. Here is crack I used. Saves you the effort looking for one http://www.filedropper.com/mosimoasupatch Even when I got it working on Windows 7. It seems ITH can't properly hook the text from this game on windows 7 and above... You need to use xp I am guessing. Might be wrong there though, but that's the result I got. Good luck. -
Can someone hand me a gun so I can shoot Michiru?
Bolverk replied to crunchytaco's topic in Visual Novel Talk
You fool! Michiru is awesome~~ I know you can get pissed at her, but she is a fun comedy character. Her route in Kajitsu isn't that good though imo... -
There is no translation of it as I know. There is a interface patch that translates the battle cards though. Which is nice for people who use text-hookers to read the vn.

Visual novels, games, Books, TV series etc. Aren't any more damaging than the other imo. It all depends on how they are used. How addictive they can be and how much you would like to reject the world depends on the person. If someone play shooter games all day, or read vn's all day. There is not really a major difference if it's just a means to reject the world. Also lol, "vn's are a major factor to the social issues in japan" *facepalm* Aside from that, if you find it enjoyble to dive into another world is that wrong? No. It's an exteremly common thing. The difference is between the extreme of rejecting the world you are living in. Your entertainment becomes your reason for living, not a means of living.

The best hooker tool is ITH, and VNR can also be used as a hooker. I am guessing you will play with online translators? Here is a guide for that. I personally reccommend learning basic jap instead and then playing with dictionaries and hookers. Hard in the beginning, more fun in the long run.

Fuwa torrents are awesome as always. With the stats you posted, no doubt does the seedbox help a lot. *Thumps up*

What's the avatar above you thinking?
Bolverk replied to Snowtsuku's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
Damn Brah, those socks lol great on you! (Or, bunnies are the best thing in the world :3) -
Loads of untranslated ones goes without saying. Draculius imo is underrated. It's really good, albeit from a obscure company I suppose.

Completed Subarashiki Hibi ~Furenzoku Sonzai~ (SubaHibi or suba) a few days ago now. Got time to digest it some. (All the endings ofc) To say obvious about this. I'll put stuff that spoils the vn in the spoiler. Tbh, if you are going to read the vn in close future. I'd not read this, as I'd like you have a blank slate while reading it. It's that kind of vn. Now onto my thoughts. It's been a hell of a ride.. This vn is hard to compare to other vn's. Imo it's been one of the best vn's I've read. Even so, it's hard to vote on it because it's such a unique vn. I'll start with the things I didn't like so much with the vn. The vn has a lot of different ero scenes, that is to say the least. I always thought I'd avoid to see some of these kinds weird ero stuff. But, reading this vn. I somehow did anyway. You might wonder. Can't I just skip those ero scenes? Well. You could, but a lot of them are a big part of the story. Skipping them is removing a part the actual story. So to read this vn you kinda have to stomach them and follow the story still. Another thing I didn't like: Yup, pretty much only those two things I didn't like in the vn. Good vn yes~~ On to the stuff I liked and the story. The Vn really is about 3 major things I'd say. They are all pretty interconnected. The story, the characters and the philosophical. The philosophical stuff really pops of all the time. The characters are really really great imo. Not all characters have voices, but most of them who have are great. I mean Mamiya's voice changes just increases the epicness of the story. Due to how the vn is set up in the terms of chapters. You will also see how multiple sides of each character and what they think. This makes the characters seem and feel very dynamic. Also to try to understand what is happening. You have to consider a lot of stuff to try to get a grip on what actually is going on. Fun~ The story, which is divided into multiple chapters/perspectives. Are all mostly very interesting to read. Aside from the text of the story. The BGM is beautiful. The themes and different ending songs. Fit perfectly to the story and different characters. It really enchants the vn. The CG's and sprites are also really great. The art itself is really nice, it feels really detailed and at the same time smooth. How they used the CG's what also really nice. Usually VN have like a cg of something that is obvious that is taking place and the rest is mostly it's just of ero scenes. Most of the cg's in this game adds a new description to the scene. They usually give a picture of something that is much better shown than described in the text. Some after thoughts. At the end of the thoughts of my vn I tend to score the vn. Hard lol. All things considered. I will score this 10/10. Jolly good. Yes I loved this vn.

FAVORITE - Iroseka and how does it compare to Hoshimemo (no spoilers)
Bolverk replied to Steve's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Verrryyy Niceee. (Actually didn't know this VN had loads of loli's...) -
If you want to read. I guess using Heisig method with anki cards works. Also you need to study grammar and often used words in japanese. Tae kim's guide is good for that, jp vn's tend to use casual speech a lot. Then you can jump into reading jp vn's and get exposure to the kanji's and compunds that come up while reading japanese vn's. Btw Heisig doesn't learn you the kanji's, it gives you a buldingblock to learn the kanji. It only gives you a connection between the kanji shapes and a single meaning. It ignores the mutliple prononciations and mutiple meanings of each kanji. So you need to read lots of japanese afterwards for it to work great. Imo doing the full 2200 kanji's is unrealistic, most people would drop out of that. Doing around 500 or so will be a good start. (Some random rant by me here. But I think Grammar and basic pharses are a lot more important than kanji at the start if you read jp vn's with software such as ITH + TA.) Lots of ways to do this really. I'd research a bit around if I were you. Kanji is imo though. Best learned with mainly context and some studying.
-
Depends on what you want to learn about each kanji. Readings, meanings, writing, radicals/(primitives) or all of them.. Ofc all of these parts are important, but if you are a hardly going to write for hand, it's uneffective to practice writing imo.

I reccommend the list as well. Akatsuki no Goei is slightly harder than the rest, but it's great ^^ Reccommend it as well,

Good luck with this project ^^

Started reading Haruka ni Aogi, Uruwashi no. Really liking it, I was suprised how high quality it feels. I am already in love with the BGM, the art and writing is nice as well. Even more shocking for me was that this vn was made by Pulltop... Oozora did not have this feeling. Well they made it 8 years ago almost, so I suppose that's part of it. I started reading this vn because I needed a short break from SubaHibi, I am currently in the Chapter "Looking-Glass". I am not really in the mood to read the cruel parts of the vn. I am going to read it more later ofc. I'll note down my thoughts of Suba when i am done with it...
-
I am here~~ No worries I'll get to reading it haha, SubaHibi first though.

Welcome Gabe. This is where dreams come true! .. Well atleast we got Vn's Also profile pic's should always be either 1: A cute character or 2: A cool protag. You failed on both accounts! *Smashes fist into table for impact!* *Breathes heavily* Seriously though the pic is fine, besides being slightly urrgh. Man those eyes O_O

I basically love the game as much as i love Asairo (which is saying more than words can express) and I want to rate it really high, but the text is pretty jerky and some other weird things. I may just rate them together when i finish the FD. I've heard the same, it's a sequel of sorts, with some afterstories as well. Ha ha, that's nice. Asairo is right under your lovely Baldr sky dive 2 hehe. Yeah, I agree the vn is a bit rough in the edges at times. Because of that it's hard to really put a exact score on it. Other than that, it's an amazing ride. I am going to read the FD as well, likely going to re-score the first game after that. First need to read SubaHibi though.

Hahaha, awesome. Glad you didn't hold back reading ruitomo because of the hard writing at times. *Thumbs up!* I love the OP aswell, it's Brilliant. I've listened to it for hours as well haha. You thinking of reading the fan disc as well? Or you going to read something else now.

Welcome David! Hope you enjoy your stay here and the vn's that are here ^^
