Welcome to fuwa~~ We all sometimes bomb topics, haha. No worries ^^

Oh right so that's what you had in mind with the list. I remember accany's guide from 2 years. It was my first list i used for VN's, although I had to cross-reference the titiles with Vndb to see if it had an english translation. Luckely I don't need to do that anymore. (I'll read you Muramasa within a year I promise hehe) His site is still up, though he no longer gives out reviews often it seems. http://accany.wordpress.com

Ooo, another list awesome. This is a Vn's list with VN's you found good and you ordered them without any spesific genre? I added Haruka ni Aogi, Uruwashi no to my wishlist (to read list). You have mentioned it a few times I guess I have to read it now hahaha. Many other interesting titles too mmmm.

Completed "Hatsuyuki Sakura", I am starting on "Tokyo Babel" now.

That is indeed the case how usually politics and media goes around with their business. Never really thought about it in that way before. /RantOn Is falling lost into the din of voices even wrong? Depending on your current views and previous exeriences you might choose a uncredible source. The easiest choice seem to find data that fits your current view and disregard mostly everything else. Everyone does this in my opinion to some degree, you can't possibly view everything equally. Stereotypes for example, you see a person and automatically view that person with some criterias. Or this is an expenisve brand, then their products must be better than the cheaper ones. That person with glasses looks smart, she/he must be good at school, etc This is simply a way to cope with way too much information. A possible way a person who gets informed about the Global warming might think: The global warming is not real, even if it is. There is close to zero for a single person like me can do. Either way I haven't noticed much difference in my environment the last years so I'll ignore it. To be able to get close to the truth, you would have to open yourself up. Look at the different opinions as you said sanahtlig and without much bias. Then you will be able to form an more objective opinion. Doing this is harder than it might sound like. Not because reading and looking up stuff is hard. But because it might collide with your beliefs of the world. How you view the world so to speak. Let's say you were an aspiring athelte and want to become pro and you don't have much previous knownledge on the subject. You research and find out that regardless how much effort you put in, your genes will play a large part if you want to become the best in the world. You feel devastated, now what are you supposed to do? Reject the gene factor? Or accept it? Both decisions will change how your eyes will view the world. Big changes to how you view the world is not something you can change easily. All that being said, I do believe it would be best if everyone could strive to doubt opinions and theories by looking at their grounding, and looking for the answer ourselves. /RantOff

I did enjoy that bad end as well. I haven't read Reminiscence yet so I don't know about that but:

When you are asked on your opinion one questions such as this. You are really doomed either way imo. You got a truckload of data which can be view in multiple directions. What to discard, what is vaild, what is unconnected. You got media saying different things all over the place for different reasons. In a case like that it's better to form an opinion from the basics of the data. Read the offical climate report and other documents, newspapers and such. an Ofc I would normally applaud that, because then you are forming your own reasoning and opinion. But on the other hand. To get an accurate image I would have to read a lot and cross-referanse many different opinions. I am better at analyzing the global warming than a bunch of dedicated scientists? I can't acutally honestly say that I am. Espessially in the case when such a majority of scientists seems to think there is a human connection to the climate change, It's better to agree with the scientists. Media seems to portray it as there is a large amount of disagreement between scientists. But as sanahtlig mentioned there really isin't. One of the best arguments I've heard against global warming is: No no man! it's all an goverment conspiracy! Damn man, did you just counter a crazy theory with another crazy theory? Brilliant, I see what you did there.

Welcome to fuwa!~~ Well depends if it does come out when they say it will. JAST who is giving out the game is not known for their reliability. Also we have to idea how much better the offical translation edited is because noone has looked at it xD. The first patch is totally readable, depends if you really want to wait or not I guess. Many other VN's to read

Grisaia no Meikyuu Translation Started
Bolverk replied to douggle's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Comparing the titles sizes it's certainly possible, the translator prbly will prbly not try burn himself out. 7-8 months for the first game like translator is thinking. Between 1-2 years for both games. You never know how stable the speed will be. With koestl I doubt that will be a problem, we will see. ^^ Grisaia no Kajitsu: 66715 lines, 3.73 Mb text. Grisaia no Meikyuu: 29200 lines, 1.83 Mb text. Grisaia no Rakuen: 23168, 1.47 Mb text. -
Doesn't take long to complete the other routes as well. So you might as well take 1 or 2 more. I'd reccommend it as you can see the different endings in that universe (they aren't that different though IRCC). You don't have to do it to though.

Welcome, also I agree Shizuru best girl xDD

Finally completed Eden*. Far overdue than I had initially planned. Overall the story was great, music was good and it has lots of great art. One thing I just couldn't stomach well is the characters and drama the way Minori displays it. Not sure how to describe it, but it's like the characters are being normal. Then suddenly they change their behavior into something dramatic speech or something just for the act of drama. It made the characters feel so empty and harder to connect to. It was the same with ef - a fairy tale of the two. I guess it's one of my pet peeves. I hindsight have decided to never touch another Minori title from now on... Other than that the VN was great. My next novel will be (plus the ones I am already reading) Reminiscence or Tiny dungeon, I haven't decided yet.

You've played too much VNs when...
Bolverk replied to O. Van Bruce's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
You've played too much vn's when you start thinking in broken japanese. You've played too much vn's when you get an akward boner while thinking about some wierd Vn scene while in the middle of Class (school). In my case it was Saya no Uta. You've played too much vn's when you start learning japanese to be able to read even more vn's. -
Well pretty much where I live, from summer to winter it can change from 30°+ C down to -30° C. So it's pretty wierd lol.

I got into VN's from TWGOK as well haha! Welcome to fuwa!

Visual Novels compatibility with Windows 8?
Bolverk replied to LastLivez's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I have had no problems with windows 8 so far with around 8 VNs. Before now, lol. Ruitomo just wont work, whatever I do I get an error that windows cant read the exe. PISSESS MEE OFFFFFF. And no I wont use a VM on my mini laptop. Kinda... saaad. Maybe get myself a duel boot.... -
I am not a big fan of either too hot or too cold really. I dislike heat prbly more than cold. I don't have a big problem with either though. It's pretty warm around here for this time of year. It's mostly -3 to -10 C degrees. Pretty much used to the cold as I have spent most my school years walking or cycling to and from school each way for 10-15 minutes, when I changed schools 30 min around each way. I would never wear anything more than jeans on my legs, as it's too much a bother to change clothes afterwards. I did need to wear a rain pants when I cycling in -30 C (I got sick otherwise). Yes I am an idiot and for those who don't know, with just jeans it feels like you aren't wearing them at all when riding downhill.

Fully completed Akatsuki no Goei ~Tsumibukaki Shuumatsuron~, there is a lot more routes in this game than I expected lol. I have some complains here and there. But overall the game was superb. The comedy was funny, the action was trilling, the philosophical stuff was interesting, the dark stuff was dark. The ending where protag returns to the forbidden zone was the most interesting part. The soundtrack is great and the art is nothing to complain about. Been a while since a vn has captivated me like this. I have been itching to read this vn for 2 years now. So it feels nice to complete it hehe. Not sure what do play now... Either some not finished vn or fix the install of DDC/try to get ruitomo to work again. Edit: Got DDC to work.
