  1. It's no more stupid than judging people based on, say, whether or not they are talkative. Even if you dislike talkative people it's probably not the best idea to completely avoid them based on that one aspect of their personality alone, but if you simply can't stand talkative people for whatever reason, you're perfectly free to avoid them all.
  2. At least try to be subtle about getting more posts.
  3. They're untranslated, so just like the ME/EX patch for PC, the PSP version will have those routes locked.
  4. I'd love to own just about any Key VN, especially Clannad or Little Busters. But if I did buy one of them, it probably wouldn't see much use since I rarely reread anything.
  5. Different formats have different pros and cons. The Clannad/Kanon format is really interesting to explore but it's also really easy to get lost. The G-Senjou/Sharin/Grisaia format where your choices are basically pick this heroine or keep going until you get another heroine choice are really straightforward, but they're also pretty bland. There's also what Nitro+ did with C;H and S;G, where the choices don't seem like they are choices at first, just a fun feature, and not choosing is a choice in and of itself. But in both it's often completely unintuitive which choice leads to what. My favourite is still probably the winding Key paths, even if I do get lost often.
  6. I'm shocked too! I think it might have been Symphonic Rain that got me to turn the voices on because I really liked the songs, and maybe I thought why not have voices everywhere? Once again, I just don't remember.
  7. You could say she... B) Got in her pants.
  8. "Memento mori" perhaps?
  9. So I was watching Dodger's LP of Always Remember Me because I find the voices she uses to be hilarious. This got me thinking about voice acting in VNs. When I read my first voiced VN, which was Cross Channel, I found the voices extremely annoying. It was my first experience with Japanese voices so I turned them off and for quite some time the first thing I'd do after installing a VN would be to go turn off the voices. I read Cross Channel, Ever17, Clannad, G-Senjou, Saya no Uta, F/SN, Kanon, LB, Chaos;Head, YMK, and Steins;Gate in this fashion. I remember for certain that I turned off the voices at the start of Symphonic Rain, but I don't remember if I turned them off at the start of Rewrite and I remember reading it with voices at some point, so it was during one of those 2 that I, for whatever reason, turned the voices on and to my surprise found that I actually kind of liked them. Now I can't fully enjoy a VN without the voices. I have yet to figure out what caused this change, since it wasn't even a case of them growing on me since I didn't have them at all. The only thing I think it might be is Anime, but even then I only watched Clannad and Kanon after the VNs at that point, I've never been much of an anime person. Sorry if this is a little all over the place, I'm a bit out of it from Benylin. >.> Basically, do you like Japanese voice acting? Have you always enjoyed it? And have you ever tried something and hated it, only to come back again much later and find out that you now really like it?
  10. Maybe try reinstalling your browser?
  11. There's too many VNs to read for me to start rereading things, but if I ever do start, Little Busters will surely be near the top of the list. Always great to see the PSP getting some love, good on you Patr.
  12. It's hard enough to get an active English-speaking community around VNs, it'd be even harder to get one around just Key. At least that's the way it seems to me.
  13. Welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay!
  14. Happy Birthday, eh?
  15. Started out about why we love things and ended on the subjectivity of reviews. Seems legit. I was reading Yume's route late into the night yesterday, and halfway through (although I haven't finished it yet) I realized that the reason it felt nostalgic was because it was similar to the 1 relationship I've been in. About the review thing, I think they need to be a subjective piece about your feelings about the game(VN/movie/...), as well as the reasons for those feelings, so that the readers can see the reasons, and think about how they feel about them. Also I don't really agree with you on the sex thing, Okami. It's true if the only thing someone has on their mind is sex, but if it's in addition to all the other things you've mentioned I don't see anything wrong with that.
  16. You misspelled Kud.
  17. And here I was, trying to vary it up by not posting pics of best girl.
  18. Finished the "normal" heroine routes in Hoshizora, just some of my thoughts before I move on to the last 2:
  19. It seems a worthy rival to DayZ has risen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL564fHoMPM
  20. Did you restart your computer?
  21. VNDB link still doesn't work though, maybe your profile is set to not allow others to view your VN list?
  22. Is this only on Fuwa? Does it happen on other websites or in Windows outside of your browser?
  23. Welcome to the forums! A fellow Canadian, eh? You can link your MAL and VNDB in your profile instead of using your signature, also your VNDB link seems to be broken. I'll just give you my usual recommendations: Ever17 and Steins;Gate, even if you've already watched the anime, Higurashi is set in the same universe as Umineko and is also really good, and Kanon, Air, Planetarian, Rewrite are by the same people who made Clannad and Little Busters (Key), and Symphonic Rain is similar to Key stuff, although it's made by other people. Enjoy your stay!
  24. They don't have to push it as a clone, I think if they had managed to give it more exposure it would have done much better, since at this rate it doesn't look like they'll reach their goal in time.
  25. I get the feeling that they could have done a better job advertising, the internet would probably have jumped at the idea of a PC Harvest Moon game.
