I think MangaGamer exhausted itself with announcements for this year, on Otakon they presented some rather big titles and I don't think they necessarily need to announce anything new right now except for maybe some hardcopies and maybe some low-tier VNs ... And ofcourse, to release some of these 100% translated VNs by the end of the year Anyway, I already think 100% it won't be a new partner ... Just look at this page: http://mangagamer.org/announcements/ I remember when I was looking at that page during Otakon, on these unknown cards there was "New Partner" inscribed at the upper corners of the cards (Hapymaher and Sorcery Jokers) and you don't see that on these two cards that are left unknown until the convention ... They could purposefully not display that "New Partner" but I don't think that's the case, they probably don't have any new partners for now, they will either give us new hardcopies or it will be something from its old partners (I am looking forward to anything, anyway xD) ... As for Sekai Project, they actually have a lot of projects on their hands now ... I don't expect anything big by them to be announced but who knows, I think that whatever they announce, it will probably be a short OELVN or a short VN.

Ahahaha Seems to be the case, but it's hard to avoid mentioning them because they just keep spamming these titles like out of nowhere. I promise I will not give them anymore undeserved attention from now on Man, all those titles ... And I am like: Yes, it's exactly like that. You should try some of their VNs to see WHAT-NOT-TO-DEVELOP like, though maybe you should try it to make some cash, apparently it's profitable since Winged Cloud appears to be making some money out of this.

Exactly, that's something that bothers me too. What's worse, most of "Sakura" titles don't even have porn scenes in them (I am not counting ecchi stuff as real porn). I think that like 4 titles in the whole franchise have 18+ content and one of those that I played wasn't even that good at all. Some of the worst Japanese nukige are better than Sakura Swim Club (or Sakura Swimming Club, whatever, can't remember what it was called).

Speaking of publishers, they seem to like to switch between them and change them like pair of socks ... If my memory is good, they started with Sekai Project then switched to MangaGamer then went back to SP and now they are with them ... until they maybe decide to go independent, ahaha I just checked out his profile and he actually bought all Sakura VNs! Well ... I will be honest, that's an interesting idea, I definitively see the logic in it, you could very well be right! But then again now that you have mentoned that, something came to my mind ... If what you say is true ... Then they have maybe stolen the idea ... Look at this: That's an idol VN that Sekai is planning to release and it uses that "Nova" (in this case Starnova) ... I think maybe Winged Cloud grabbed the idea from there XD

I see. Well, I can't really blame Winged Cloud for that. If these Nutaku and Steam crowds don't want to educate themselves then by all means, Winged Cloud deserves and should milk them until they wake up and realise that they deserve better. I mean, the first time that I have played one of these Sakura games, back in 2014 or 2015 I think, I thought it was an OK visual novel with good art but after going through several of them I realised that it's just ecchi stuff for closet virgins, I mean they never bother to improve the formula and bring something interesting to the plot of these games, nothing to really hold you except a bunch of ecchi scenes that seem to be the core of all of these Sakura VNs. I mean, how these Nutaku and Steam crowds fail to see that? I mean, it's not even a proper nukige! As for your suggestion about the premise, you could very well be right about it At this point of time I think we can already write even better summaries than Winged Cloud itself, ahahaha xD Here's one I just remembered I have read on Reddit recently so I will just qoute it here: I actually tried to think about what to write as a "plot" for Sakura Nova ... But honestly, I can't come up with anything good and the major reason for that is that I can't cope with such a name for a VN ... I mean, what does "Sakura Nova" even mean?? XDDDD What the hell??? I mean, I know what "Nova" by itself mean and I couldn't connect "Sakura" and "Nova" in any way, I even decided to look for the meaning of "Nova" to make sure I know what it means and this is the answer: That's similiar to what I had in mind and still, I can't mix Sakura and Nova in any way! We had Sakura Space that takes the plot to space and now we have Sakura Nova which if we take it literally means the plot is on the star?? XD I can't come up with any good plot summaries for that one

That's just ... sad I mean, I kind of expected that and even knew it from earlier info I got but it still makes me sad that fans are supporting this kind of butchering of the medium and giving bad name to OELVNs in general, and then it's no wonder people look down on it. One can only hope for the best, I guess.

So I was just randomly browsing VNDB and suddenly I saw this: Sakura Maid ... I knew Wingled Cloud was spamming Sakura titles like crazy but this is insane! I think this is the third Sakura title in like a month! We had Sakura Shrine Girls and Sakura Space quite recently and I can't find a single reason why it's good to have one more Sakura title in such a short span of time. Do these even sell for Christ's Sake? -.-

I don't know why but for some reason your avatar seems to always draw my attention when browsing the forums, I see it's from a VN you are developing ... I don't know about Highway Blossoms but can confirm for Just Deserts that it is nowhere near good ... It's the most boring VN-RPG-Dating Sim hybrid I have layed my hands upon, preety much I would not recommend to anyone unless they'd like to torture themselves. Though I guess there are people that liked it, as they say, there's audience for everything.

I do remember them from that time, that was long ago by my standard, I don't remember anything big recently that was in any way that bad from them. As for Kyonyuu Fantasy, I didn't play it so I don't know much about it, I have only heard it had bad demosaicing.

That's not true, I have seen calls for JAST's head many times for many reasons and many times it was justifiable, as for MG I don't remember any recent slip-up by them, care to tell me what has MG done recently to even deserve any kind of hate? They did deserve it in the past with awful releases and translations but that was way back during Edelweiss period. As for JAST, they are worse than SP when it comes to delaying releases, takes them ages to finish it all off and they do get called on that many times.

Is it just me or is the MG currently the best localization company for VNs right now ... I mean, comparing these three major ones, I have a considerably better opinion of MG than of JAST and SP.

These side bars on the left and right, is there any way to make them manually dissapear on my end or are they hard-coded? I tried zooming in on my browser but the price is the bigger text and still these side bars can be seen though smaller. If not, then no worry, I will just live with it like this.

I understand the neccesary changes but I kind of liked more the previous spacy look of the site, nevermind, if it loads faster on mobile phones then all is great Just kind of surprised with the new look
