I would suggest you check out Teppu by Oota Moare and Hanakaku - The Last Girl Standing by Matsui Katsunori They are both about women being involved with MMA and they both have very distinct takes on the subject and the characters are both radically different from each other. Teppu is really worth reading because it has probably one of the most fascinating main characters I've encountered.

I've been finding that the yuri protagonists I've come across in vns have been leaps and bounds better than most regular vn protags. For the most part anyway. I'm taking a slight break from 12 to play Flowers Dos since I've been awaiting its release with baited breath and an underlining agitation. I love it so far, Erika is my ideal protagonist I find her sarcasm and snarkiness to be refreshing. She really fits to my wavelength. While I liked Shou there were a few times when I found her meekness and timidness to be a bit frustrating. The references are as lit as ever, and I'm once again drawn to its peaceful and steady pace. I think it takes real skill to get a slow pace exactly right. Many vns and stories try but most times they end up being ponderous and aggravating. Flowers gets it right.

I guess I should have mentioned why I was interested in her in the first case which is that I find her attractive and we have a lot of common interests and feelings. I did say shooting for a year but for me that's quite a lot because I've not been in a relationship that has lasted that long. Confession: I've found myself in a relationship again and it is with a friend I've known for about two years. I've had a on again off again crush on her and I found out that she had similar feelings for me about half a year ago. I finally decided to stop leading her on several days ago. It is a weird feeling to be with someone again.
