  1. Playing ChuSinGura and surprised at Yasube's voice being Kiritani Hana. Loved Kiritani Hana and I usually recognize her voice as it's very apparent something like moe-ish but her rough voice as Yasube was totally different and cool
  2. Played Sakura Sakura (Translated) and it's fandisc which was incredibly hard to find. The fandisc is still untranslated but it doesn't really continue from any of the paths. Loved Nanako-sensei character, perfect fit for my tastes in heroines also a calming voice that fits her well. I didn't play Naoki's route since I was impatient to play the afterstory for Nanako. Finished it in one day and and made me love Nanako more. The fandisk is based around Tooru with his indecisiveness multiplied by a hundred. There are a lot of joke choices that shows how indecisive he is. Nanako and Sakura are sick of his indecisiveness and go full attack mode on Tooru so it's so heart-achingly sweet. When they finally get together, there's an h scene. And then another H-scene. And then a short epilogue. End. Aside from me wanting to see more than that, It was a satisfying fandisk Overall good game
  3. If you mean new vn's to play, I usually read what other people think first before playing it. But if you mean literally new vn's then I just look at Micchi and Zen's website.
  4. Finished playing Tiny Dungeon Black and White. It felt like reading a good fantasy/harem light novel. Those kind of novels always had an overpowered MC and a cast that goes deredere on the MC with laughable reasons but Tiny Dungeon did better than that and gave credible reasons for the girls to like Hime. Even if Hime really existed, I would want to have been his friend. Feels good seeing people who never give up get rewarded. It then exceeded my expectations near the end. I didn't expect the tragedies that follow since well, it's pretty light-hearted, I expected it to be light. Also my first chuunige in the untranslated novels, it's quite easy to understand.
  5. I'm pretty sure it's not about the specs since I can play much more demanding games like Witcher or Monhun world.
  6. Thanks for trying, tried reinstalling and reupdating the drivers but to no avail. Guess I'll just have to give up on it
  7. I'm certain its not a problem with the specs and this is the first time I encountered this. I didn't see any post about this so can't find anything to use as reference https://imgur.com/a/4lnosYw (Pics of lag/bug) The game itself is not laggy but the way the images are displayed. Like when i try to close the game, the yes or no button to exit doesn't appear until I point my cursor in the location it appears. The prologue is similar as it's laggy.
  8. Usually, stories around Summer or Spring is really optimistic or too positive for me. My favorite VN of all time is based around winter and in our country it's almost eternally hot so I tend to love winter
  9. No other game has ripped me apart this much. Whenever I play VN's I usually lean heavily towards one heroine. Just seeing a happy end with her was enough. White Album 2 was different. Setsuna is one of my favorite heroines from any anime and then after playing the VN, my favorite heroine from any VN too. She's clear and devoted to her love, coupled with her already charming personality. I just couldn't understand why someone would like Kazusa over Setsuna. After that brutal scene in the airport, she still loved him and thought it was her fault. In CC, she still loved him and tried to get closer to him every time. She worried whether she would contact Haruki over the phone for hours and hours, and then wonder if she's gonna mail or call. She creates notes for possible topics with Haruki, only for Haruki to just ignore her anyway. The gradual restoration of their relationship was really both frustrating and sweet. Their pillow talk was cathartic after all that suffering, she deserved it. Then came Coda. I was resolute to just go straight to Setsuna's true end but it Coda felt like it was dedicated to Kazusa. And wow, it really did turn things around. The cold exterior from IC melted a bit, enough to show her cute side. I'm still playing through Coda at the moment but I'm slowly understanding why a lot of people like Kazusa. She was the opposite of Setsuna. She looked strong but was incredibly weak. If she was in Setsuna's position in CC, she would have probably have been broken early on. It's the gap that's so enticing. Just shows how amazing WA2 was. The 2 heroines were well-made characters and in the end, you just have to choose between the two. Curious about what other people think. Anyway, Setsuna #1
  10. Sanoba Witch was one of the first JP VN's I played and I really recommend for people to try this. Yuzusoft is really good at what they do but they tend to stick with what they do too much. In Sanoba Witch I felt like they did something different from their standard formula. It's really good with likeable characters particularly Meguru and Nene. Nene is probably one of the best heroines from any Yuzusoft games I played
  11. Playing White Album 2 and I expected it to be good, but not this level of good. I couldn't stop reading it since yesterday. Played it straight from morning until I slept and then continued playing again. I finished Introductory chapter within 1 day and holy crap, knowing how it ends from the anime, the prologue hurt my heart. The actual ending in the IC then proceeded to crush my setsuna fan heart to bits. Also on CC right now and my setsuna fan heart wavered for Kouhai and Mari but I was not willing to see Setsuna rejected and have a sad ending because Haruki chose another heroine. Just that certain scene from Daitoshokan where you reject a certain someone made me stop playing for a while. Atleast it was just one scene of the game, in WH, it goes out of it's way to show how much you fucked over Setsuna and that doesn't sit well with my fragile heart.
  12. I usually read mostly charages(don't read moeges). In fact, since I learned to read JP, I've clearly only played charages and the only story based VN's I played are english and mostly in my english only days. Also since learning JP, It feels really out of place playing english VN's since you can easily notice the difference between the translated text and the spoken dialogue. Sure, the connotation can be the same but it still feels... off. So yeah in short I'm mostly part of the JP-only and charage community
  13. Would recommend playing the untranslated version of Miagete Goran, https://vndb.org/v16560 Saya and Hikari are both childhood friends and coincidentally, most of the game's production efforts went into their routes(they have a fandisc focusing on these two heroines). I remember giving it a low score on vndb because of my hate on moenovel and the gutting of the h-scenes(I don't usually care about H, but removing something from the VN makes it feel incomplete and awkward). Planning to replay it since the game is really good but now untranslated as recommended by many, you should try it too.
  14. https://vndb.org/v19737 Playing Hatsukoi Sankaime, finished Himeka and Misaki's route Good game, also the art for Yurino was kind of off-putting for me. Play for Himeka and Misaki, and also Rin.
  15. Now gonna put Manatsu no Yoru in my backlog, also what VN is your icon?
  16. Nakiges are fine as long as it doesn't end in a completely depressing note. Any recommendations for nakiges too?
  17. Yeahh, I thought about that. I'm getting a bit blurry on the definition on the charage. Probably what I mean is something with good characters that doesn't just revolve around... nothing.
  18. Some people might say why not just play a chuunige or something. I want to see good characters going through well-thought-out plots and also I'm a sucker for good romance story. Some certain charages I played felt aimless. The conflict is solved right off the bat at the start of the route and goes straight to icha-icha forever without conflict. If there aren't conflicts, it's hard to feel entertained or support the characters. I want to see them at least go through something so I can see them fighting(not literally) and have a feeling of wanting to support them. Preferably, the vn should be on the longer side. Something like 20+ hours. 10-20 Hours vn's are welcome too. I'm also not saying I despise icha-icha, in fact I love it with good heroines. What I do hate is a plot centered around icha-icha. Example: Tayutama,Minamijujisei Renka,Natsu no Ame
  19. Had a phase where I was obssessed with romance stories, mostly manga. A shit ton of good romance mangas end quickly, and if they dont end quickly, it's probably because there's no progress in the story at all(Not that i'm saying everything is like this but mostly). Got tired of the medium and heard about visual novels where the romance is actually more involved as a reader and most importantly, actually has a proper progression where I also don't have to wait every week for a new upload. Heard about routes and choices which at that moment I was also a fan of choose your own adventure games and it was a mix of all the things I wanted. For some reason I don't remember, even if my goal was playing romance vn's, I played fate/stay night first which was the start of my jump into the abyss of VN's.
  20. Really liked the concept of a student teacher relationship from Natsu Ame and looking for something similiar. It can also work if the MC is a teacher and the heroine is a student. Untranslated or english works
  21. Playing Gin'iro Haruka atm. The game's production values are really good and appealing characters. But seriously this is one hell of a timesink. From past toneworks games reviews, apparently this is the norm. I thought I already sunk a lot of time in the game then the opening song greets me and the clicking new game from the menu shows that I JUST HAVE FINISHED THE PROLOGUE. Equally like Bethly and Yuzuki, the foreign cute girl and the strong willed amaenbou are types I like. As a result, I finished both the prologue of Yuzuki and Bethly and also equally confused which route I am to finish. As of now, I save and load between the two routes, and now my mood decides which girl gets a happy ending and never achieves happiness with the MC that they were made for. I really really want to commit to one route because I feel like that would be the most optimal one. Just waiting for that one character moment that would make me want to commit to one route
  22. Yeah thanks im going to play it now(Sad that candyheart is almost impossible to find lol, cant play anyway). Going to continue to play flyable heart with the uncomfortable feeling of betraying mayuri
  23. Would really recommend Fate/Stay night and Steins/Gate however the beginning of SG is really really mundane but rapidly ramps up when it gets really going. Fate/Stay night on the other hand youre immediately sucked in by the holy grail war and its quirks. Both are totally different games but one of the best games I played in the medium Ever17 is I think made for certain people. Honestly some parts I was bored to death, it rapidly ramps up like SG once it gets going but its really far in the game. By the time I got there I got sick of the characters already (Take my criticisms about Ever17 with a grain of salt, I played it a few years ago and I would probably think different if I replayed it now but no way)
  24. After playing a lot more VN's, I finally found what the type of story I like. I absolutely detest and bored to death by slow moving stories. I don't mind if its a plotge, charage or anything just not an utsuge please. I want a story that is suspenseful or there's something always happening.
  25. Well, I liked Mayuri too much from flyable heart and heard that her route is kind of lacking, so i went straight for Kimi no Nagori without even finishing the common route of flyable heart. Finished and it was amazing so I wonder if the fandisc continued form Kimi no nagori or flyable heart. (I realize that it's weird I went straight to a spin-off rather than completing the main game first) Alsoo questions 1.How was flyable heart different from Kimi no Nagori? 2.Is flyable heart worth playing even after Kimi no Nagori? 3.Does the fandisc continue from Nagori or FH (Someone might say I should just dl and try it but my net speed is very very slow so I really don't want to download and find out it has a different continuity)
