  2. Cross Channel, for sure- the yandere in that one is incredible. I haven't played the School Days VN yet, but from the anime, there's another great yandere in that one (one of my favorites- see my avatar). And Saya no Uta is a classic. Go play it. All the good ones I can think of have already been mentioned, but I can recommend all of them. I wouldn't necessarily bother with Yandere, though- it's not horrible, but it's disappointing if you go into it with high expectations.
  3. I don't have a desk, so this is basically the "otaku" part of my room. I have all my manga/anime/games on that shelf, along with some figures (the biggest one being Manaka from ToHeart2, bought before I knew anything about the game OR the genre). Behind the chair, I have a Full Metal Panic! wall scroll, too. Bonus shots under the spoiler tag: the posters/ printed images I pretend are posters that are hanging next to my bed.
  4. I made a channel for replays on the rare occasion that I think something is good enough to share. I normally do easy/ normal mode, since I'm still kind of new at it. Although I've done some hard mode Taiko already.
  5. Seconded. I could see G-Senjou being somewhat successful if they did it right- the mystery/antihero combo could probably be an easy sell to, say, Death Note fans. Fully-animated Usami is a pretty great bonus, too
  6. 鷹 - たか - Hawk
  7. I usually pick my background image based on the game I'm playing at any given moment. So right now, it's Ikikoi. Also visible: my huge backlog...
  8. 1. Tales of Phantasia (It's funny, because I would never have picked it up if I saw it today- I never play games with really fantasy-heavy settings anymore. But fourth grade me saw the GBA version on clearance at Target not too long after getting into anime, bought it, and got hooked on RPGs.) 2.Persona 3 Portable (Yes, more Persona 3 love. I honestly plowed through the entire game within a month of buying it a couple years back, because I couldn't put it down.) 3. Corpse Party (kind of a visual novel, but I'll go ahead and put it here too since there is some gameplay. I was blown away by this one.) 4. eXceed 3 (PC bullet hell game. Fact: this is my favorite non-vn genre.) 5. Guitar Hero 3 (I haven't played it in years, but back in the day this was my addiction.) Edit: 3 games out of my 5 are the third game in their series. I wish I had planned that.
  9. ...Oh, Yandere... I hated the teacher, so she's out of the question. I liked Maika and Saki pretty much equally though. Maika because she's straight-up crazy (even compared to the other two), and Saki because I have a weak spot for osananajimi characters.
  10. I saw this thread while I was browsing the forums a few weeks back and decided to give the game a shot... and now I'm hooked. -_- I switch modes every once in a while, but I mainly stick to Taiko. https://osu.ppy.sh/u/3762547
  11. Same to you! My fingers are crossed, but good luck to everyone else as well, since everyone did well making it this far. :3
  12. One that I use a lot is :3, just because I like it better than the that a lot of people use. -_- is another favorite.
  13. I started watching the Haganai anime yesterday (finally), and I'm already on episode 6- I don't actually sit and watch anime too often (too busy with VNs), but when I do, I tend to marathon entire 13-episode series in the span of a couple days. 7 episodes in one sitting? bring it on. ...On a side note, I'm really enjoying Haganai. Worth the wait, for sure. The Bishoujo game-centric scenes kill me.
  14. One of my favorites is Yuna Kagesaki, who drew the Karin manga (along with other stuff that I really enjoyed, like Sakura no Ichiban). I think she also did some VN art at some point, but Karin was one of the first manga I ever read, so it holds a special place in my heart: Oh, and Noizi Ito is another favorite of mine:
  15. Finished Cross Channel last night, and really ended up enjoying it. Now I'm playing Ikinaru Anata ni Koishiteru, which has been pretty enjoyable so far.
  16. Welcome to Kudoraando, the product of the hopes and dreams of the loli fans who refused to give up hope. Location: The former continent of Antarctica. History: Kudoraando was established in 2017, ten years after the "Muscle Sensation" Revolution spread across the world. Between the constant cries of "Muscles, yay yay!" that were now unavoidable nearly everywhere on the planet, a group of non-muscular lolicons- all shunned by society on counts of spreading dreaded "No-muscle ideals"- banded together and found the last remaining spot on Earth still untouched by the revolution. The six unnamed legends used the name of a well-known (in the former lolicon community) Russian-Japanese girl, Kudryavka Noumi, and combined it with her nonsensical way of speaking to name this new community "Kudoraando." While their inspiration had been one of the first to fall victim to the revolution, the residents of Kudoraando chose to view the young girl as a martyr, who was "Brainwashed into succumbing to the horrific revolution and spreading its ideals." Her pre-muscular form was used on the nation's flag, as a symbol of hope that Lolis would one day return to their former glory. In 2020, a broadcast was sent out to the rest of the world, in an attempt to find similar-minded people to join their nation as citizens. In as little as six months, the population had doubled... to 12 residents. As of this writing (in 2021), the natives remain hopeful that the Muscle Sensation can be reversed, and that Loli will one day return to its former glory. Language: Taken from their aformentioned namesake, native Kudoraando residents speak what some used to refer to as "Engrish"- an attempt at mixing the Japanese and English languages that usually ends in disaster. The Residents see it as moe, however, and believe that it perfectly represents their goals as a country. The national phrase printed on their currency (known as doraa biirusu) is "Haro, eberibadii!," and it is invariably used as the main greeting between the residents. The citizens are peaceful, and have yet to actually rebel against the Government of Muscle, but have mutually agreed that if they did fight, their battle cry would be a long "Wafuuuuuu~!" Government: Technically a Democracy, but no governmental work ever actually gets done, and no votes have ever been staged in its history. Everyone is too busy exchanging photos of Lolis from the pre-revolution days. Nation's Anthem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcRT501ZHFY Laws: 1. Lolis are life. 2. Do not take the name of kudryavka Noumi in vain. 3. Refuse to fall to the muscle empire at all costs. This is a safe haven. 4. Live for loli, die for loli. 5. Habu a naisu deiiii~~~

  18. Hachikuji Mayoi is best girl. Unless she is not best girl, in which case she is... Not best girl. Edit: whoops, double post.

  20. I'll go with Attack on Titan for this one. I had a lot of friends tell me to watch it, and the Internet wouldn't shut up about it,so I tried watching a bit of it. Never again. Not since I got sick of Bleach have I wished so hard for a mainstream pile of garbage to fade out of existence. I get how some people might like it for the action scenes and whatnot, but I need my "deep story lines and characters" (that people rave about) to have a bit more depth than a kiddie pool.
  21. Thanks! These all look really good, so I'll check them out when I get home.
  22. Genre: Utsuge, Nakige, Psychological horror Linguistic level : Anything up to 7 at the most Stimulus preferred: -an emotional game, where you end up actually caring for the characters -Nice art -Any length is fine, although I would prefer if it was medium-long What is your list of no-nos: Anything made up of pure fantasy elements (For example, a setting not even remotely like the real world), and hardcore sci-fi that's too out there to be believable
  23. I remember trying to find that show back in 2009. I never did find much past episode 5 or so, but I think now Anime Sol is streaming the whole thing, and I've been meaning to start it again.
  24. Honestly, I don't play many or any, really games outside of VNs. That said, I got a LOT done this year. There were also a bunch of games I got a decent amount into, but either dropped or lost my progress in after a laptop crash. But 2013 was the year of the VN, no doubt about it.
