No idea what's better - the True Remembrance remake for 3DS or Harvest December series I know, right? It so straightforward, but at the same time - I've never had such a blast reading a plain slice of life story since the aforementioned True Remembrance (albeit, there are hints of mystery looming around every corner in that one). I have to admit I put the whole idea of translation aside since Arca's last reply, but every time someone mentions this game, I can't sleep without thinking how fun it would be to bring this game to the english community. Bug me more. I'll be having a two week paid leave from work now, since it just so happens I could actually try to do a bit more work on the engine and perhaps at least translate the opening. Also, don't forget to badger @Arcadeotic. He's best suited to translate this game and he knows that

Rewrite is definitely Key's weakest work and a game that ultimately highlights their fall as a studio, at least for me. However, with that kind of comparison OP made, he can't be taken seriously.

People have such shit tastes

If you don't really mind playing the game without all of the original content, go get it. If not, I'd wait to see if Denbosu plans to release an 18+ patch (which I seriously doubt, unless something changes).

There's four more Marunomi Being a monster is fun, isn't it?

A fine choice, I'd say. It might be exactly what you're looking for, OP; granted, one of the heroines is a kyonyuu, but her chest is more of the natural kind, I can confirm that

A multilingual, eh? Welcome. Is your life already a visual novel material?

That's not a loli at all, she's just short Get outta here, pleb It's safe to note, there's a clear difference between a girl characterized as "loli" and actual lolita characters. With first, it's mostly about their looks and behaviour/quirks, whilst their age doesn't really matter; the latter is about actual prepubescent gals. The distinction kind of got blurred nowadays, though, especially when studios began to use age as an excuse to shove more loli content into their games. It all boils down to fake lolis vs real lolis, haha.

oelvn project The Falconers: Moonlight + (Preview Demo)
Narcosis replied to Divona's topic in Original Projects
I just finished the preview and what can I say? It punched me in the guts, like really hard. Good scene direction and great usage of the engine's ATL language, coupled with great art and proper use of music makes for a preety alluring experience. I was preety surprised you almost instantly sacrificed one of the characters, that I thought will play an important role (or perhaps, she will - but it's way too early to tell yet, am I right? ) for the story's sake, but it worked - that I can tell you. Any tears that might be shed, are going to be justified. There's not much I can tell in terms of issues. The only thing that picked my attention was the overall look of the GUI and Menus, which - as simplistic as they are - kind of look way too much standard for Ren'Py's built-in modern templates. It's not bad, but I'd advise to either rework it a bit, or perhaps remove that black haze within the text window and replace it with a proper background, or remove the text window and make the letters more visible instead (by applying effects, which would make them more readable against the background art). That aside, you might consider increasing the resolution of character art (if still possible), because they were quite blurry during certain ATL transitions, especially those that relied on zoom-ins. I also noticed the lineart used for them reminds me too much of crude charcoal drawings; not sure if it's intended, but it doesn't quite seem to mix well with the backgrounds and smooth coloring used for the character art. It's nothing serious, albeit visible enough to consider a minor issue. As for the rest - thank you. I mean, really - I've been waiting for a western game, that introduces readers to it's own, unique IP. And I really love it - both the idea of Falconers (sounds like a more modern version of witchers), and the concept of Cullers. Can't wait for more, as this game has enough of content, that might actually pull in the more hardcore players. PS. The fighting scene was awesome. Kudos for using ATL to partially animate everything on the screen, that's a lot of work. WHY on earth is no one commenting on this yet?! -
There's better stuff to read, trust me. Have you tried Wind? Some companies will never improve, though

Re: LieF ~Shin'ainaru Anata e~ Part One: Common, Momo, Ruka
Narcosis commented on Clephas's blog entry in Clephas' VN home
I have a strong feeling this vn is highly overrated and won't live up to expectations of the playerbase. There's been quite a lot of hype even long before it's release, as if people were hoping this game will reinvent the wheel in terms of setting and themes, but I'm unable to do anything but roll my eyes in disbelief, at least from what I've seen so far. -
Because people agree to that And even if they don't, there's not much they are actually able to do anyway.

A Dragon girl looks up at the endless sky Ghost City maze help
Narcosis replied to EcchiMan123's topic in Visual Novel Talk
The english release is based on the PSP version, which removes adult content, extends the scenario and introduces new characters into the story. Kind of a pity, since I'd prefer a complete rebuild with both new and original content in form of additional 18+ restoration patch. That aside, it's a nice game but removal of adult content kind of weights on the scenario, which revolves around raising a dragon girl and relationships that form between her and the protagonist. I'd pick it up in a heartbeat otherwise, but for now I'll wait and see, whether they plan to release an official 18+ patch. -
If so, Quartett! for the music, Katahane for art/aristocracy (alternatively, grab Rondo Leaflet if you're proficient enough in japanese) and any of the WAB games (aka, "What a Beautiful..." series from Hikaru Sakurai) for a mixture of fantasy, dystopia and specific atmosphere/color patterns. If you haven't yet, you really should read Planetarian, too. From late things I have read, I'd recommend Kitten Philia just for the artsy stuff, but it's propably way too much for you to swallow.

That's some top tier requirements I wish good luck to anyone able and willing to satisfy your needs

And what is this magical "steam crowd" we're talking about? If it's not us after all, then I don't even know anymore. We're a part of it, like everyone else. It's huge, that's true. The only decent way to spread the word is to educate people about those issues. Unfortunately, people will most likely end up buying their new release. Our modern standards in regards to product quality have detoriated enough to the point, where majority doesn't really care as long as they get what they want and it better be damn cheap.

That's exactly what you do, when you have money. Those who work do so, because they have to pay their bills.

Are you implying there aren't that many?
