  1. I already ordered #2 on AmiAmi, and already own the Anzu in #5. The rest of these are interesting, but #3 has too poor a PVC quality for the price. Thanks for the suggestions!
  2. It is interesting to note that because people are becoming so good at video editing and using programs such as MMD, the professional gap is almost none existent. It's like those guys that did the protein folding project. People are just insane.
  3. I can understand that, but then I feel that the only reason they vastly push the Steam release is for the money. We all know Clannad does not need exposure whatsoever; that anime is known all over the world. In the end it's only about the money, which if that is true I am absolutely fine with, but at least just admit it straight up. I mean we all know Love Live Sunshine is only being made for the money and that most Japanese PC games only care about the money in a dying market, so I don't see why it's any different here. Personally, I just dislike people who are trying to make some big message out of all of this. It's only ever been about money. That's it, plain and simple. It's that way in Japan, it's the same way here. OEVLNs and indie games might be a different story, but those are the only exceptions.
  4. The issue here is that Winged Cloud is successful because it catered to porn fanatics. Every review of those games revolves around dank memes and trolling remarks of how the game is a "beautiful masterpiece, would fap again." That in turn causes any other game that is an OEVLN/independent to be viewed as a joke, and those that do manage to get a serious review and/or audience are still just tiny pips that are overpriced or get no attention. In other words, the people who praise the games that are taken seriously on Steam are still fans of VNs to begin with, which really isn't "drawing" a crowd. In addition, all of the reviews on the staple Steam releases are positive. If you even think that making a serious review about how you disliked a game (i.e. = Clannad, Grisaia) is going to fly with the fans on Steam, you're going to be ripped to shreds by butt hurt fans. This is clearly evident on some of the Fuwareviews we have posted, so you can bet your ass it's the same over there. You don't diss Clannad, it's perfect. As for your last comment about funding something they know will get money, that's not true at all. People still blindly preorder games on Steam knowing there is no bonus and the game can be shit. A perfect example of this is Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines or to some degree, Fallout 4. An even better example relating to this specific topic are the Winged Cloud games. Only after a game falls through the roof do they realize they want their money back and that they were idiots. In other words, people will blindly fund anything regardless of how much they believe in it, especially if the art is from a Japanese artist (not from DeviantArt) and has erotic cock-teasing material. Overall, I'm not saying Steam is bad, but it's not being used for the right reasons.
  5. I find it absolutely hilarious that western VN releases have no idea what they are doing and that this market is and always will be a mess thanks to conservative porn laws in countries around the world. I love that everyone is trying to find a method that works, but every single time there's some stupid loophole/problem that arises thanks to the law or thanks to some idiots who ruin it for everyone. No matter how much you think VNs being released with some adult content will change views on the laws of porn outside of Japan, this genre is not going to be the turning point that changes the rules. Japanese culture has always viewed pornography different than the rest of the world, and because of those differences, it makes it such a ridiculous hassle to release their content elsewhere. I get that they are trying, but at this point Steam should be removed from the picture. I understand that it's a platform that will draw attention to certain games, but it should honestly be used for OEVLNs/indie developers only. People who love visual novels already know about their localization; putting it on Steam doesn't promote it anymore because the people that actually want the game know about it. And I understand that there are simplistic reasons for putting it up there, but I feel it's just making things worse thanks to dumb people and salty morons.
  6. Checking through these now!
  7. Help pick a figurine Fuwanovel! Whatever you guys end up choosing, I'll buy it if I can find it in stores for a decent price. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind about offering suggestions should you choose to do so: No trolling please. If you are here to trash talk the thread, don't comment and leave; I really don't want to deal with salt today. For those that are interested in helping out, be genuine and ask yourself if the figure you are suggesting is something you wouldn't mind owning yourself. Please, just be serious this one time? No Nendoroids or figma. Not a fan. And that's it! I look forward to some suggestions.
  8. It's over ladies, this is the figure that shall pierce the heavens as the greatest crafted masterpiece of all time. Behold!
  9. I think an issue with a lot of these projects is the lack of motivation and time people have going forward. I honestly believe that if you feel you have some awesome suggestions, you should also help see those suggestions come to light. Help Nayleen and get teams to work on certain sections of the site. If multiple people want to help run a project or feel that their content/guide should be featured on the front page and integrated outside of the forums, hold a vote. Have a set time people can vote on certain elements being featured from certain members, and leave it at the majority. Don't worry about people's feelings or if you think it won't be a good idea to be featured (i.e. = a guide on how to hook VNs). If anything, having certain content not featured should make people strive to work harder within their team and try to get good content featured around the site to link it as one. TLDR: Don't just talk about these suggestions, reach out and help with them. People who make suggestions obviously care about the direction of the site (at least I hope so), and so you are already taking your time to comment about it. Don't make up excuses about how you don't have the time to help; get out there and start doing whatever it is you can (no matter how small). The reason the site reaches such stills in advancement is simply due to the nature of VN players. Offering Tay and Nayleen suggestions is nice and all, but making them do it all alone is worthless and damn near impossible.
  10. Then don't come in the thread and read it?
  11. TFW my thread about Nekopara porn turns into a heated debate about typing and mousepads. Fuwanovel everyone.
  12. Glad to see you making that step Nay. Remember, don't feel you ever have to do this alone. If you get stressed from the work, reach out.
  13. If you like moe girls doing moe things and you like wallpapers, avatars, and other images with moe in them, check out the scans of Dengeki Moeoh, a Japanese publication dedicated to moe. If you already know what it is, then ignore this. If you don't know what it is, explore some of the galleries and scans based on year. These images make great wallpapers, posters, and other material: http://g.e-hentai.org/?f_doujinshi=1&f_manga=1&f_artistcg=1&f_gamecg=1&f_western=1&f_non-h=1&f_imageset=1&f_cosplay=1&f_asianporn=1&f_misc=1&f_search=dengeki+moe&f_apply=Apply+Filter If you can get into exhentai.org, they have almost every year in full. Want to buy them? https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=115&cat=book&target=series&searchkey=Dengeki+Moeoh Enjoy. They release every 2 months.
  14. I haven't even done anything wrong and you're already targeting my threads.
  15. I'd much rather be able to enjoy them from the outside rather than being able to enjoy my own. It's like your own voice - you hate listening to yourself, so why would you enjoy looking at yourself? I mean, if you're a huge narcissist then all the power to you, but it's much better to enjoy what you don't have rather than what you do.
  16. Can we please get a dedicated moderator who keeps an eye on Fuwachat? Half the people that exist there are genuine members who have great social experiences, but the other half of them are individuals who don't give a rat's ass about this site or what we do. All I'm asking is for is a dedicated moderator (preferably someone who stays in there almost 24/7) to manage it. Thanks.
  17. No worries mate. Now please old man, it's no longer Christmas. Let's change that avatar.
  18. Like I'd actually use the mousepad. Please Rooke, that stuff is on display.
  19. As someone who uses his own set of emoticons, I fail to see how you have any creditable sources.
  20. Oppai mousepads are a thing of the past. Bed sheets, posters, and blankets are now the thing of the future (in that order):
  21. I'd rather not say.
  22. I've never read or played a single one of these games, but even I know when a cat girl named Coconut is the best in the entire series, which is why I bought a very expensive wall scroll/messenger bag combo. As the legendary Space Dandy would say, "It's all about the booty baby." NSFW Link
  23. Confession: I just ended up spending the largest amount of money ever on a hobby related purchase during my life.
