  1. The mini episodes, the first stretch goal, were such. O do not think these novels were, though.
  2. Hahahaha... In relation to the above:
  3. I, admittedly, have always claimed not to like music all that much, up until the point where I realised what I really liked seemed to be OSTs. That out of the way, Girls' Last Tour OST was one I absolutely adored. Starting with the first scene in the first episode:
  4. Lucid9 is a stand-alone experience without question, but it ends on something of a cliffhanger. Furthermore, the game has a number of choices which will only prove more relevant in the 'rest' of the game. It feels more like the first title in a duology, but I understand why one would say it's incomplete. It is, technically, just a giant, self-contained common route. Some games have those, except they also have the routes right after.
  5. 'My VN Tastes' is specific wording I'm not sure encompasses my case. A lot of people know I like anime and VNs, but nobody actually knows what a VN is so, by extension, no one would really know what my tastes are. Even if they did, 'mushy romance' just about covers it, so...
  6. Happy Christmas. It just occurred to me I barely have any images on my computer, so why the hell would I have Christmas themed ones? Oh, I have an idea:
  7. Can't read it. I end up just skipping all the way through when it gets to the second half of any given arc.
  8. Hmm... *light spoilers for the story* --> I suppose when basically everyone is a terrible human being, shifting the focus away from the supporting cast does make it more bearable. I might watch it with my sister, since she said she wanted to see it again and I haven't yet.
  9. Koe no Katachi. A film I would be interested in for its depictions of a deaf character, but which I feel I would be incapable of lasting through, for I had way too much trouble with reading the whole manga, and I refuse to put myself through that particular wringer once more. Incidentally, that somewhat echoes my feelings on Fullmetal Alchemist as well. After a number of episodes of the original series I felt I had had quite enough of the voluntary torture, so now I do not have it in me to start Brotherhood.
  10. Entirely natural. Otome are manifestly the best.
  11. He brought up Subahibi as an example of a highly rated VN. He then explained why he didn't like Subahibi, and brought up Euphoria as another example of something he can believe is good, but not good for him. So the answer to your question would, most likely, be the hardcore scenes, as he said. But I'm not him. I wouldn't know.
  12. Pshh. This guy thinks he's original. I was ahead of the times two years ago.
  13. Here's an entirely arbitrary image. You can add a link to an image, in the editor, by pasting the image (or link to it), having it format itself into an image, clicking that image once and, finally, clicking the 'Link' button in the editor. What is the editor? The place where you write the text you intend to post. You will notice it has some buttons on a top bar. The one that looks like a chain, called 'Link', is the one you click AFTER having clicked your image inside the editor.
  14. The actual demo is out. Strangely, it seems to have an 18+ version. That seems odd, for a demo, as you'd think any such content to be further in. Well, I'll soon find out if the label is there for a reason.
  15. I believe I'm too stingy with my money to actually fall trap to these seemingly predatory practices. I also have trouble finding worth in a lot of online stuff. I remember buying an announcer pack on a free-to-play game ages ago because it was at 75% off or something and I still regret it to this day. I can be a victim to impulsive buying, and I will buy games I hardly ever play, but I am too sceptical to buy most DLC and especially not microtransactions. I think it was the Paradox games that had a ridiculous amount of DLC. It's even difficult to tell what I'm buying half the time. There was this bundle with a bunch of stuff in it, which seemed like a good deal, but turned out to have mostly cosmetic stuff that I'm, honestly, not interested in.
  16. You now know which one OST I liked extremely.
  17. Finished ReRe Hello. It is everything I'm looking for in a romance. Couple meet each other, get to know each other, start dating, we follow their livres for a while, cute moments, first time, profit. The boy isn't a playboy or a complete bastard and the girl isn't a crybaby or a single-minded, love chasing individual. 10/10
  18. Sol Press have publicised a playthrough of the Demo on their Youtube channel. https://youtu.be/crCJ63b9EvA I am glad to say that it seems to meet my standards. If this is the quality I am to expect for the rest of the translation then I am satisfied. I'll probably read the whole thing once it comes out properly, but for now that's my impression of the first five minutes. EDIT: Also, Whoo-hoo, the release is already guaranteed, as it has been fully funded!
  19. Light spoilers below. The Agave route is the "True" route. It is certainly not ecchi mainly, though I can see why it would be described as such, for it includes a number of H-Scenes even though the protagonist does not get together with any particular character. It is about the protagonist and his group of friends being threatened by a drug cartel. More than that, but this is as far as I'll venture, for I don't want to spoil things. In terms of story (epic battles and Yamato moments): Momoyo: Majikoi Chris: Majikoi Yukie: Majikoi Tsubame: Majikoi S Cookie 4IS: Majikoi A-2 (It incudes plot developments I really like, but it's not like the others on this list, much) Agave is not a girl route, so I shan't include it, but it would top the list. As usual, the disclaimer stating that I have terrible taste.
  20. One Thousand Lies. I see we have a man of good taste.
  21. They are working with MiKandi for PR purposes. MiKandi is in no way connected to the TL. And it works. There's a bunch of people on Kickstarter that came specifically from Libra.
  22. I actually thought the music was quite charming. Certain tracks were associated to certain families or themes, and I really got to know them over time. Despite my enjoyment of both this game and the sequel having been on more or less the same level when I played them, I can say the sequel left a much deeper impression on me than this one.
  23. Notably, all the reasons above are reasons I liked her for.
  24. I liked Comyu. But bear in mind that, by and large, I tend to dislike chunni titles. Most of the stories I read tend to not have much in the way of plot, but this did. This Visual Novel told me various stories. Some better than others, but I liked them all for different reasons. I did not have the problems most people had. I didn't particularly dislike Akihito, and I (at the time) didn't have any issues with the translation. In fact, I am tempted to believe that the translation may be why this VN did not turn me off as so many other chunni did. The pretentiousness and annoying exchanges/narration didn't come through very well, so nothing made me dislike it on that count. This is, however, merely a theory. It's just that I don't know of many more story-heavy Visual Novels of this kind that I liked.
