Since I don't play VN's because of looks, I'm fine with dating a bunch of bishounen. Basically, I find the girls' thoughts cute, and guys in love somewhat charming, too.

I do love a good otome... though I've hardly played any. The few I did play were fantastic.

It should be noted that I wasn't really into anything before VN's, so even really simple stuff would make my list. There are essentially three things I've deemed worthy of note in regards to H-Scenes. I prefer it when the female takes the lead. I also like utter dependency. Or perhaps its pet owning? To specify the latter one, by this I mean making someone dependent on having sex with you. I'm sure its got some other name, but Margit's route in Majikoi S is essentially this. It would actually be preferable to achieve this without the sex phase - imagine a yandere - but it's fine either way. Finally, I don't dislike the corruption of characters aspect mentioned above, but what I really like is the inverse phenomenon. The healing of said characters. The healing of broken individuals is absolute bliss for me. And that should be all for this whim of a post of mine.

And by 'Thing' I mean Anime. I've finally hit a point where I don't feel like anything in particular, just something "good". Therefore, recommend me things you thought were good! If you need ideas, feel free to take a look at my list and recommend me something similar to something I liked. Thanks in advance!

Started watching Gintama. Having finished the first 2 episodes, no particularly strong opinions thus far.

I'm with you all the way. I haven't played this VN, but I have this terrible feeling that when I eventually do, I won't actually dislike it. That's what always seems to happen with me, anyway.

Got to episode 19 of Golden Time. Can now confirm I'd recommend it. I can also confirm some characters show pretty unlikeable sides sometimes, nobody's perfect, and I like that. Addendum: After finishing it it is worthy of note that for a series full of drama I liked it surprisingly lot. That ending, however... Thank god I'm all for that sort of thing. 9/10

I don't think it's amazing, but after getting through the most annoying part for me, it's gotten way better. The heroine has a very very unique thing about her... Heroine's tend to be likeable, right? Else they're either kuudere's or tsundere's or some other personality type that does not make them immediately likeable. Now imagine a heroine that loves you, she clearly does, and you still can't like her too much. I like that for me, she managed to do that for a while. You may have a different experience.

As a side note, I cannot confirm this issue.

Currently watching Golden Time and am on episode 15. In a very rare turn of events, this anime has, in the latter half, both an OP and an ED that don't make me feel the immediate urge to skip.

You should be aware that I started it with the belief that I won't be able to finish it. Whilst I can put up with it in manga, I'm absolutely intolerable to awkward situations in anime. If it's entirely comical I may be able to bear it, though.

I can at least squeeze out a "good afternoon" or "good day" when needed (often at the wrong time of the day).

However, there are some VN's in which the all ages version contains entire new routes not present in the version with H-Scenes (and vice-versa).

They picked up the all-ages version for a reason. It's not like they chose a game and only translated parts of it, from what I can understand.

That brings its own troubles as well. Don't think I hadn't thought of the option. The main issue being that if you use a Cheat engine then the game will become incredibly boring, mostly because there's no game. It's basically a choice: Either I put up with a mental slog, or a time slog. I guess I'll have to learn to balance the two... or something.

Story? I'm not sure. I do know that seemingly there's something unlocked after you finish all good endings. To add insult to injury, there's 4 heroines beyond the one I already cleared that I really want to do. This almost makes me cry.

I've got a question about this game. When I started playing it, it took me weeks to finish a route. Whilst I admittedly loved the route and don't dislike the gameplay either... How the hell am I supposed to ever finish it? If I play non-stop like I did at the start, I'll take weeks again to slog through a route. I can deal with it once again, maybe twice, at most. But there's 7 routes. Presuming that it really takes a long, long amount of time to make it through the game every single time, how will I ever finish it?
