  1. Thanks to Bats, I'm now playing House In Fata Morgana. I think I'm some 20-30 minutes in, I like it so far. I've always been a sentimental person about places, such as homes or schools, and the stories they inhibit. As such, HiFM's story structure really appeals to me. It almost reminds me of the happier parts of Umineko so far. Mell and Nellie are both very endearing characters, even though Nellie is somewhat sad.
  2. That's true, it's also 4:3, but for the first two chapters there are asset patches that add voices and PS3 graphics (16:9, redrawn backgrounds and CGs as well as new sprites). A patch for the third chapter is on the way.
  3. I'm glad to hear that you can keep going even in the face of such difficult circumstances. So glad to have you here, and way you see many more thousands of posts! ^^ <3
  4. That's actually wrong. While I don't think it's *all* of them, way back in '15 Mangagamer did confirm that they would be translating some extra hitherto untranslated arcs after the original eight. Related- Gangamamer might finally be picking up the pace with the translation (this is the fourth chapter):
  5. Hahhahahahaha "select works" OST haha NO
  6. Planetarian was pretty good but didn't suck me in that much, but Saya no Uta was wonderful.
  7. Will look into that, thanks. Read Planetarian and Saya no Uta. What's this "steampunk series"?
  8. So I'm just looking for a VN that oozes atmosphere. Examples: Remember11 999 Umineko Higurashi Kara no Shoujo
  9. Heed these posts. Especially Zero Escape (9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors and Virtue's Last Reward) is utterly incredible in terms of mindfuck. Hell, the moment I find something that gives my mind a more thorough fucking than the ending of Virtue's Last Reward it'll become my favorite VN.
  10. I knew I could have trusted your taste. Good work. but spoiler that shit about Sora, that's a spoiler edit: did you do both of Takeshi's routes first, that's the recommended order
  11. you'll be going off one of the deepest ends possible. Be forewarned, you really might come close to throwing up a few times.
  12. Like chill, heartwarming songs nowadays
  13. this bot is fucking sMarter than Me
  14. I just got 7/10'd. Mother fucker edit: edit: edit: OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE
  15. Well, that's because Remember11 is actually an indirect sequel to Ever17. They're both part of the Infinity series.
  16. add me on them all then you fucking cuck, my PSN's Alpharticle
  17. Glad to hear you're optimistic about it! Not that I'm at all experienced or reliable on these matters, but maybe try to listen to some songs that pump you up every morning if you get anxious? If you tend to dramatize your situation and that causes anxiety, maybe the opposite would be true as well! Just my .02$.
  18. There's some theory going around that every death is fake, except Chisa's because Kyosuke just fucking stabbed him. I'd die from laughter if true, and then fucking cry because Chisa was great
  19. The whole VN has a "what the fuck am I fucking reading" feeling to it. Do the first two options on that screen first, though- they establish vital exposition and characterization that the other two routes need to even begin to not understand.
  20. two things: 1) Really agreed on the casual feeling criticism, hate that myself. 2) Do Takeshi's routes first. Story flows better that way.
  21. Welcome to our humble abode! here have an OST
  22. fucking bravo man I wish my gamepad wasn't broken, had to drop dark souls because of it, even though I loved the atmosphere.
  23. I'm playing like three different Castlevania games (all three on the GBA) on my Vita at the same bloody time. Lol. Aria of Sorrow- Replaying this one after that one Fuwa Games Club a year or so back. Still possibly the best gameplay I've ever seen in a sidescroller or platformer, and my favorite Metroidvania (Metroid Zero Mission and Super Metroid are the runner-ups). Easiness and the (understandably) washed-out colors are the only flaws of this game for me. Playing it with actual buttons is a fucking delight. Circle of the Moon- This one's a bit *too* hard. No musical diversity (doesn't change at all), no interesting locales so far, etc.- not really digging it. Very repetitive. Harmony of Dissonance- Kinda like it, but no interesting bosses so far and it's gotten kinda repetitive. Pretty fun nonetheless. Also got the Normal Ending in Cave Story today. Likely the second best game I've played this year, after only Persona 3 Portable. Excited to get back and get the best ending. Progressing slooooooooooooooooowly in Soul Sacrifice Delta. Unlocked all generic Pacts, and I am going to clear at least the eighth batch of pacts before progressing with the godlike story after months. I'm at the fourth battle in The Memories Remain. Replaying Metroid Zero Mission as well, but halted for now since it really slows down at a boss. Tried metroid Fusion as well, but it's bad. Like, really bad. No freedom of movement whatsoever. After I'm done with most of the above, I will move on to Final Fantasy VI- if I have the time, that is. I fucking love having my Vita hacked, always wanted to play GBA games on it.
