Finished watching Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals. It's a Final Fantasy title, but the only thing I can praise is its fanservice (very peculiar stuff). I somehow managed to develop an attachment to Linaly's pantsu. It was presented in many humorous ways and glowed magnificently.

Got this on my very first try. Only 2 points from it, but still 2 points. Wasn't able to get FC's on any harder maps though. Kind of expected since I'm trying to fix my sleep schedule.

Is it just me, or did episode 7 This series does not disappoint. The family is hysterical, and Lunar coming into the scene really stirs things up as well. Very diverse character cast. Oh man, to have this much fun with a rom-com is a blessing. ٩(^ᴗ^)۶

I started watching Seto no Hanayome today. Oh god, even the opening episode was too funny. Nagasumi is an unlucky bastard, but it works. I think I'm going to thoroughly enjoy this. Comedic timing in anime is really rare, but it's Kishi directing it, so it's spot on! His video game adaptions suck, but the guy has a knack for comedy.

I finished Gosick today. Oh man, I loved the writing in this anime. Everything in the plot tied together really well and the romance was very satisfying. Ending made me tear up quite a bit. Very emotional and satisfying. <3 Could have made 9 if it were a little more engaging, but it definitely gets a solid 8 for being interesting. Might finish another anime in 6 months or so.

I have to warm up every time I start playing. Thankfully it only takes a couple maps for me to warm up. Also decided to ease up on excessive gameplay since I'm starting to hit a wall lately. I guess 6-hour sessions really aren't that beneficial. ;_;

That's okay. I heard about it quite a while ago too, but it was still nice for you to bring it back up since it made me feel hypey again. Not as much as my initial reaction, but still... Dulalala S2 hype!!! Kinda worried about Ao Haru Ride's direction with the last episode. Hoping it doesn't play out the way I think it will. Didn't enjoy it that much due to my general uneasiness, but it still has a chance to clear that up since it hasn't done anything particularly wrong yet. Fairly spoilerish:

She is, isn't she. (¬‿¬) I have a friend who bought a dakimakura of her too. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1.w5022561-2089966902.11.Q64sWt&id=36416427946 Damn it, if only my home life wouldn't make it "troublesome" to own something like that. ;_; On another note, I think I'm gonna try to actually finish an anime for once. o.O Most likely Gosick.

Damn it! Another player that's better than me! Okay, I think it's about time I started getting serious. Welcome to Fuwa and to the osu thread.

I don't really think they're that similar. They both belong to completely different demographics and have different intentions and focuses. Yu-Gi-Oh had far better card battles, but I liked the writing and direction in WIXOSS more.

That is a damn good choice. Enjoy the epicness! Yet another good title. I love Binbougami! It's the closest thing to Gintama I've ever watched. And yeah, sometimes it's better to watch something that picks you up before getting into the heavy stuff. Shoot, I don't even remember what sparked my interest in yuri. But I do remember Girl Friends turning me into a fan.

I brought up this one map in a multi with a friend one day and he quit on it instantly. He said there was some kind of timing issue with it, but I didn't really feel anything off about it. Is he just a bad player, or does the map have bad timing? https://osu.ppy.sh/b/142523 I looked through its thread and noticed someone already posted a fix for the timing, so I can't really see it being the case. Just not sure if I'm missing something here (the Tuhard setting is a little too difficult for me to judge properly).

You're on the right track. Your performance scores aren't that good, but you can play pretty damn well at least. Definitely better than me in some regards (I'm still struggling with AR9). But yeah, I don't really use NF that much. I prefer working on maps that aren't that hard for me. In fact, I had to break my habit of staying on one general difficulty without trying harder maps. That's the main reason why my rank is so low despite my playcount. I also did a lot of 'experimental training' that didn't work. https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/656-fuwanovel-osu-thread/?p=125111 Took me a while to realize this, but you really don't get any advantage at all from being extremely analytical in this game.

I just got the 15,000 playcount achievement. That's actually kinda depressing because of where my PP is at. ;_;

Nothing beats hard work, right? Keep at it, Lewy-niichan! Welcome to the fuwosu thread! Mind linking to your account? Feel free to add me and stuff. https://osu.ppy.sh/u/4313410

I think it's really beneficial to work on longer maps. Those maps tend to put less emphasis on skill, and more on concentration. I notice quite a few people that usually have a hard time hitting beats that they should be skilled enough to get. This doesn't indicate a lack of skill to execute, but more of a weak concentration. With longer maps, there's usually only 3-7 combos in the entire map that are hard to pull off, but the rest is pretty easy. Shorter maps are mostly opposite. Compared to lengthy maps, I have a really easy time focusing on shorter maps, and the only short maps I usually can't FC are the ones where the combos are too hard for me. On another note. I finally finished Reiwai Terrorism on hard. AR8 and CS3 is a nice combination, lol.

Any time, pal! <3 Also, remember that map I mentioned about a month ago? Well, I finally got it! About time, right? And it's the 1st time I didn't freak out towards the end. Seriously, it's really mean to put in a jump when the vocalist uses a heavier tone like that.

I could if I wanted to, but the keyboard's not as comfortable due to the large size. The controller is much smaller, so it sits more nicely. And the menus deal isn't really that big of issue for me since I usually don't use them for anything other than saving and loading. I don't mind the occasional switch to mouse + keyboard for that.
-
Do you guys ever use USB controllers to read VNs? I never use auto since my reading speed depends on my mood, so I'd have to adjust it almost all the time. And using a keyboard or mouse can make it to where you can't completely relax your arms. But with a controller, you can have it set comfortably on your lap and progress the text with that. Unfortunately, however, VN developers put about as much effort into controller configuration as they do auto mode, so I have to switch to mouse and keyboard for menus. I know there are games like Grisaia and Ever17 that natively support controller use, but you can also use programs like Xpadder for the ones that don't.

I almost never judge a season on the first week. After getting accustomed to eastern storytelling, you start to see how a lot of anime need some time to pick up from a slow start. I usually don't form an opinion until week 4. Seeing how we're in that stage now, I can say that this season is turning out to be a solid one, and that's a pretty grand accomplishment for Summer since it tends to be the weakest time of the year for anime.

I should get to Hamatora eventually. I love Index-like settings, so I'm sure I'll enjoy watching it. A few friends gave a rec to me as well. I'd advise against going into Nanana with high expectations, but they don't necessarily need to be low either. It was definitely a fun anime, and there's still a chance you'll like it more than I did, but I thought the anime focused too much on being decent at a lot of things and not great at fewer things. Personally, I was greatly dissatisfied with the romance. The LN supposedly had a lot of romance, and from what I saw, the potential for romance was really up there in the anime, but it failed to deliver. I know this can be said for a lot of series out there, but Nanana really should have been a 2-cour. Still, Nanana is a fun watch, and Tensai is glorious. <3

Was it that deep, bro? I wouldn't know since I started the series but never finished it (like I always do). I could probably explain it once I finish it since deep meanings almost never elude me.
-
That would not be the case at all. There are several other originals that'll have a writer listed (like Angel Beats, Nagi no Asukara, and Madoka). In fact, not having a source material to adapt would actually raise demand for a scenario writer.
-
I started Zankyou No Terror and I've watched the 1st episode so far. Little busy today, but I'll definitely watch the rest shortly. It's definitely interesting. By the way, I noticed that this series doesn't have a script/scenario writer listed on any DB. Is there a reason for that? I'm kinda interested to know. Otherwise, Watanabe is doing an amazing job with the direction as I expected he would.
