  1. Oh yeah. Railgun S is top 5 for me. Sisters arc was just perfect and the drama was some of the best I've seen in anime. It was also a grand experience watching this air while reading the Sisters arc in the Index LN as well. The bridge scene was kind of mediocre in the Index anime, really good in the Index LN, and I consider it best in the Railgun S anime. Hope you enjoy it, Major, it was a blast for me. Also, that cinematography was incredibly unique.
  2. New requirement: All moderators need to look this classy. (¬‿¬)
  3. Someone linked this to me on my birthday. Good stuff. :D

  4. Thanks, guys. Yep, having a great day already!
  5. Man, it's episodes like these that remind me why I love Free so much. Great focus on characters and wonderful execution on the swim competitions. As with S1, it still took a bit of time to build up for the moment, but now that Free is at the climax part, it is my favorite anime this season once again.
  6. Yeah, and due to my poor memory, I basically had to play the game with notepad. Start the game, die, take notes. Start again, die, take notes. Etc, etc. It had an interesting idea which did pull me in, but it kinda lost me in the long run.
  7. Lucia's route has a very rare sensation that only the best in the romance genre can provide. It was just wonderful. <3
  8. I have a few that I feel have provided me the best experience for its genre. I'll have Gintama as my favorite overall, and my favorite anime/comedy. Steins;Gate will be my favorite thriller, and 2nd favorite overall. Clannad's my favorite drama, and my 3rd favorite overall.
  9. Yeah, that's the biggest reason I picked up the manga first. I usually don't do this kind of thing for a popular anime, but after hearing from various fans about the turn-out of S3, I decided to make an exception. Kinda glad I did since the manga's been a lot of fun to read and the Goddess arc has been really interesting.
  10. Yeah, I'm not sure what the author was thinking here. I remember reading in the translated interview about Tonokawa's inspiration for Chihaya's route coming from Dragonball. I do hold a fair amount of respect for that manga, but I don't feel that it's appropriate to apply to this particular VN. Damn it, I like Tonokawa when he does pull through, but his potential is a little disconcerting.
  11. I've looked through a bunch of your reviews and I think you're doing really well with how you format them. They're past-paced, fun to watch, and provide good insight on VNs and Dating Sims. Also, there's another VN that'll eventually be coming out on Steam that I think would really be worth reading. It's from the same company that did Ef (not sure if you're familiar with the VN or its anime adaption). http://store.steampowered.com/app/315810 That is true. There isn't a particularly wide range of VNs in the western market, but there are still alternatives to Steam as well. Now, this will roughly depend on your preference for storytelling as MG and JAST normally don't work on VNs that are originally written in English (those are the only VN reviews I've seen on your channel so far). They're mainly involved in localizing Japanese works and distributing them through their own websites. But as of late, there has been a fairly nice increase in VNs distributed through Steam, but for the most part, you'll want to look towards the English licensing company's website to purchase them. The VNs are usually only available for download only, but you may be able to find physical copies of the game if they're really popular. You can find a list of the titles they've licensed on VNDB, and there will also be a link to their website if there's anything you're interested in buying. Sekai Project doesn't have a store available on their site yet, but you'll be able to find their works on Steam.JAST MangaGamer Sekai Project As I mentioned earlier, the VNs you've reviewed so far are originally written in English. And while they can definitely be a joy to read, I personally feel that translated VNs have a lot more impact. But that's just how I feel. Definitely worth dabbing into if you like what you've played so far. Also, if you want, I can narrow down any of the lists I've linked as companies like MG and JAST tend to release games that are more centered around the "porn" aspect rather than the "story". VNs are a pretty tight niche, so they have to have something to keep them from going under. Sekai Project is a lot less porn oriented, but they mostly rely on kickstarter. Holy cow, didn't even realize I was writing this much. Probably the first time I've rambled like this in a while. Well, it's not entirely irrelevant, but it still feels pretty bloated. Well, anyways, welcome to the community! Really glad to have you with us. And feel free to ask me anything if you want to know more about VNs.
  12. The launch date? Really? Well, I suppose this isn't worth notifying email subscribers right away. That's literally the only thing I use for keeping up with Nintendo stuff. Damn it. Either way, I'm still excited for it. I knew the game was in development, but I didn't think they announced the release date until now. Actually, it would make sense to give out better notice than one month for release dates. Ugh, I'm really off lately. >.<
  13. Twitter's great for learning tidbits of information like TL progress, product releases, etc. Blogs are great for articles. And Facebook is... good for popularity! Not sure why a lot of people prefer FB for information and stuff when blogs are much better formatted for it. One of life's greatest mysteries I suppose. Kind of a shame that social networking had to pull Google away from supporting their RSS reader. >.< http://www.pcworld.com/article/2030781/google-reader-is-dead.html Not too much of a hassle since external readers are a little more convenient for me, but still. But more on Fuwanovel: I follow both the blog and twitter for information. I have seen the blog repeat information that was posted on Twitter, but you still get the information faster. Blog posts are good for bulk information that's too lengthy for Twitter (there's a 140 character limit on tweets). And I guess it just feels better when a blog entry can't be read in less than 30 seconds.
  14. Yeah, it feels like it's been longer to me too. But after thinking it over a little, and confirming it on the wiki, it's definitely been 7.
  15. I see what you mean. They are pretty funny, actually.
  16. Holy shit! 3DS SSB launch date announced.
  17. Good deal. I've been reading it for a couple days myself. Kanon's route is pretty interesting. ... Damn it. ;_;
  18. You know, being a trap fan doesn't necessarily equate with liking penises. An interest in traps can even stem from an interest in yuri due to the femininity of both sides (unless it's yaoi).
  19. Why the lack of Chata in this thread? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxDLAlhyUDY
  20. I could be wrong about this, but the HS site might be on the same server as Nyaa. Seems like Underwater is down as well.
