  1. Some interesting little nuggets of information about Himawari. The version MangaGamer is working with isn't even released in Japan yet. Nor have they even announced a PC version for Japan (although I imagine it's coming). MangaGamer has announced that there will be an adult version, yet another thing that's not even announced for Japan. It will be the first version since the original doujin version to have adult content. Seems like Front Wing and Bank Note are giving this a lot of special attention, and it's really rare for these VN translation companies to be allowed to work on VNs that aren't even out yet.
  2. Oh my god, Meliodas, please, you are killing me here. There will not be a patch. It will be a separate release officially put out by JAST USA, sold through their sites. You have not learned your lesson since your last account was banned. You are nothing but questions. You don't even put in the barest minimum of effort to find the answers to these questions on your own before asking them. Please, for the love of god, do more research. Utilize the abundant resources the internet offers you, such as http://vndb.org, which would have answered most of your questions in this thread.
  3. Yes, like I just said, it's an improved remake.
  4. Well, it's more like a non-canon side story for funsies. Also, you may as well play Shiny Days instead since it's an improved remake of Summer Days. An official Shiny Days translation is releasing next month.
  5. It's kind of unfortunate how the Alicesoft deal messes with two almost-complete translations. I can guarantee you that 5D and 6 won't see the light of day for years, but they both would have been out within a couple months otherwise. I'm guessing they're going to want to do those in order, so Rance 01, 02, 03, (will 4 be getting a remake?), THEN 5D and 6. It's probably pretty shitty to sit on a completed translation for years. Ask anyone who has worked for JAST. Oh well, I suppose this actually does mean more Alicesoft/Rance translations overall in the long run.
  6. I have updated the OP, it should contain all of the announcements and other various news. If I have missed something, let me know. edit: lol, the new sprites MangaGamer is using for Umineko are from the pachinko game: Also it looks bad.
  7. Umineko will probably be on the same engine as the Higurashi re-release. With Higurashi, the engine is moddable so you can alter the resolution, add custom assets, etc. So they could make a 1080p version of Umineko with it if they wanted. They probably couldn't do rain effects or similar special effects exclusive to the PS3 version, though.
  8. JAST will be at Comic-con next and might announce something there. Sekai Project and MangaGamer will both be at Otakon and will have more to say there.
  9. HOT SCOOP: MangaGamer's last announcement: It's alicesoft. The new Umineko art really isn't nearly as good as the PS3 art. Hopefully the Umineko engine is as moddable as the Higurashi one. Also I feel bad for that Russian team who was doing a PS3 to PC port from scratch, that will be made largely redundant.
  10. I was actually a little confused at first since the liveblogger made it seem like a Frontwing game.
  11. Umineko is getting an official release, updated translation with new character art (probably similar to the Higurashi re-release sprites)
  12. Also the SonoHana game announced at the MangaGamer panel is an all-new game first announced there, it will be all-ages and on Steam.
  13. LMAO, the NTRing continues, MangaGamer announces Himawari from Frontwing. edit: This one is a strange one, Frontwing had no involvement in it at first. But now they're working with MangaGamer on this? Huh. Anyways, it's this, and pretty highly rated: https://vndb.org/v210
  14. Good Haru is sitting in at the panel so there will probably be a BL announcement. edit: To my surprise, Supipara has NOT yet met its goal. I assumed it had and that they weren't updating the fundraising site so they could make it a timed surprise.
  15. There's this liveblog: http://bayoab.info/live/live2.php?panel=0&refresh=1
  16. I listened to the live stream and they never said anything like that.
  17. While Akatsuki Works was formed by former Akabei Soft employees, I don't think Akabei Soft has any ownership in them, so I don't think it would give SP access to their library.
  18. So the panel is more or less concluded. Summary: Root Double was confirmed, no release date estimate. G-Senjou no Maou was announced, will be released before summer ends Chrono Clock from Purple Software was announced, release will be "relatively soon" A Narcissu remake was announced. World End Economica Ep. 2 is releasing this month Clannad is releasing November.
  19. The way I see it, G-Senjou no Maou is just the lead-in to Akatsuki no Goei. As the moogy quote Down posted says, Akabei Soft has their own demands about what they do and don't want localized, and apparently g-senjou and sharin no kuni being released officially first is one of their demands.
  20. I've had Mirai Nostalgia and Hapymaher on my vndb wishlist for a year now and SP trolls me by licensing Chrono Clock.
  21. In case it wasn't clear, I'm saying Sekai Project licensed Chrono Clock. I'm surprised they went with that before Hapymaher.
  22. Sekai Project licensed G-Senjou no Maou edit: Summer release, "very soon" with more details coming out at Otakon.
