New "Loli/Shota" Policy & Details
Decay replied to Tay's topic in Community Coordination and Feedback
There are lots of different kinds of discussions that have always been bannable on these forums, don't pretend this used to be some wildland where you were free to post literally anything. -
New "Loli/Shota" Policy & Details
Decay replied to Tay's topic in Community Coordination and Feedback
I'll invite you to read the thread's OP again because it's pretty clear. You can talk about lolis in VNs, you can talk about loli routes. You can even call them cute and express your adoration of them. All of this is still allowed. You cannot post sexualized images of lolis, you cannot debate the merits of pedophilia or other kinds of similar discussions. -

This all seems perfectly acceptable to me. -
I probably oversold it, now that I read what I just wrote. But really, eden's "cgs" were just a bunch of sprites overlaid on a background, I fail to see how that's much different than what most games do. ef's had more effort put into them, I felt, and there were a LOT of them. But there were also a lot of CGs where they didn't put much effort into it at all and put some of the standard character sprites over a background like in eden. But even those were done with more care than in eden, making them fit in much better.
-
People always say this about eden, but it still felt the same as any old sprite-based game to me, due to the way they did the CGs. It was all the same few sprite variations for every character in every scene. Compare that to ef, where Minori did an insane amount of custom work for every CG and the characters felt more like they were in the world instead of floating above a background.

No one here has mentioned Jeanne d'Arc? Have we all collectively forgotten one of the best games on the system? It's an excellent SRPG, and is very highly rated. Also Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is very good, although a better HD version exists on consoles as part of the Metal Gear HD Collection.

You ought to be playing with the Alien Crossfire expansion pack. They added multiple factions, including two alien factions.

I like this tavern brawl more than the last. I'm seeing some cool decks out there, and while some people are reporting a huge number of tempo mages, of which I've only seen a few. One was Kaguya, I beat his tempo mage twice. I just faced a shaman who is running dragonkin sorcerers and troggs, I was so happy when I saw Troggzor come out.

Alpha Centauri is such a classic. I really enjoyed how well developed the setting felt.

Is that the guy who quad fireballed me across turns 8 and 9 tonight? That happened to me when I was playing this deck: http://www.heartharena.com/arena-run/tqb2j5 You know, it's funny, right after drafting it I felt great about the deck. Then I looked at its average tier score, and saw the 58.8. That is abysmally low. But it goes by the base tier ranks and it was a collection of kinda mediocre cards that work really well together, like three dragon synergy cards with three dragons, and some fun mana wyrm shenanigans. It just goes to show that with the right supporting cards (a flamestrike, which is key), you can make even a bunch of below average cards work. I have to say, I think HearthArena and Kripp's recent pimping of it has provided a pretty decent difficulty spike in Arena lately. I'm not going to blame my downturn entirely on that, but it's probably a factor. A year or so ago it used to be that you routinely saw garbage decks until you got to 6+ wins. Now like 90% of the decks I face are actually pretty good and I very often see decks that a year ago I'd peg as 12 wn decks at 1-3, 2-3, etc. Shit's cray in Arena these days.

The final leap towards virtual reality - Oculus rift at E3 2015

Valve's Vive set is meant to completely eliminate motion sickness entirely. That wasn't shown at E3, though. -
The final leap towards virtual reality - Oculus rift at E3 2015
Decay replied to Amon's topic in Gaming Talk
People who went to E3 this year are saying the 3D looks fine. I have actually heard a lot of very positive talk about the Rift and VR in general from people who were previously very down on the idea. The technology actually is coming together and has made some huge improvements from where it was at a couple years ago when dev kits were first shipping. -
The Sora route really is the only reason anyone ever reads that. Some parts of the other routes read like unedited machine translation.

Majikoi S Translation Project Discussion
Decay replied to Ouraibaa Hjyuraa's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Those branches like the "future with shima" one are basically bad ends that are about five or so lines long. -
The Michika route is the best route in ImoPara.
-
I'm not much into incest, so Yosuga no Sora did nothing for me. All of the other routes are kind of bad. Also the translation for them is borderline unreadable. The Sora route had a different translator and is of a much higher quality. You can read that right now if you want.

The title for this is meant to be read as Iwaihime, not Shukuhime.

It worked out because I needed two drops badly and they can also trade up. 8-1 now, Chromaggus has drawn me double eviscerate two of the three times I've played it. edit: Also I've come to appreciate just how good Patient Assassin's play quote is. His chuckle gets me every time. http://www.hearthhead.com/card=1133/patient-assassin edit 2: ahaha, and that death quote, too. Holy crap. I love Hearthstone's sound design so much. Final update: 8-3. Well, that's incredibly disappointing. I guess it's better than my current average so I should feel good about that, but it's still 4 less wins than this deck is capable of.

It's also kind of the Japanese name of the series. Although note that it's the name of the series, not the name for the individual games. Although anime fansubbers and Sentai (the official licensor) ruined that one for all time. Higurashi When They Cry is such an awful title localization. Yes I'm still mad.

Just drafted this in Arena today: http://www.heartharena.com/arena-run/6842p2 I've posted about my Arena downturn recently. Almost right after bragging in this thread about doing super well my win-loss record divebombed and I was averaging less than 5 wins a run for the last 30 days, which is very low for me. This deck is kind of nuts, though. It can grab the board in the early game, has good removal options, and its late game staying power is absurd. I'm hoping to break out of my funk with a 12 win run, although now that I posted this I'm sure I'll crash and burn. I'm currently 3-0 with it. edit: 6-0. This deck is very versatile, I like it a lot. Wish my luck on the next six.

Although now I'm getting mixed messages as to how directly connected the games are: http://e3.nintendo.com/games/wiiu/genei-ibun-roku-fe/ Eh, it's probably not important either way.
-
So apparently Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem has completely ditched both licenses and has become its own whole new setting? It's now titled "Genei Ibun Roku #FE" and is only claiming to be inspired by both franchises without having any official connection to them anymore. And it still looks whack.

Trianthology is an 07th Expansion VN, this is a DMM VN. Scenario writers taking on multiple projects at once with different companies is fairly commonplace.
