  1. Kara no Shoujo crushed me... I never played anything that soul-crushing before.
  2. My favorite anime ED song
  3. did you guys think it was kind of repetitive towards the end of the first game Bravely Default?
  4. I was watching this video on people playing Outlast in the dark.. funny to see their reactions xD. It's not as scary watching, but I'd definitely be acting the same way if I was playing it myself, lol.

  6. It seems I tend to like the morally grey kind of male characters^^ and serious/cool types. 1. Lelouch (Code Geass) 2. Kiritsugu (Fate/Zero) 3. Sesshomaru (Inuyasha) Gaara (Naruto) & Nuriko (Fushigi Yuugi) were almost tied to 3rd place
  7. Whaat, lol. I know~ at a young age, I came across Silent Hill 1. I went over to a relative's house and saw he had some games lying around.. so I randomly put that game in, not knowing what it was about. All of sudden, I was being cornered by creepy little guys with knives crawling after me! I freaked out, threw the controller away, and ran out of the room. Have you tried watching the anime Yami Shibai ? It has some creepy stories. Most people seem to prefer the first season though. I think there were some stories on there that shook me a bit.
  8. I haven't named my scariest yet so here are the ones I'm able to play xD (these aren't counting ones I haven't played since I'm a wimp, lol) Fatal Frame 2 (PS2). I did have nightmares for awhile from playing Clock Tower 3... imagining murder running after me in my dreams. So far, the scariest VN I've played is Saya no Uta. The anime doesn't really scare me as much, but Shiki was a good one. I had nightmares for a week each from watching A House on Haunted Hill, and The Grudge (Japanese version). I kept imagining some black figure would pop out at me from the hallways... and a ghost watching me while I slept. I can sometimes get scared easily, but I like horror anyways xD
  9. btw, that rhymed I've seen people play Amnesia on youtube before.. I dunno, it doesn't seem that scary to me. I guess it is if you're playing it yourself though. I may look up SystemShock2! That's a good one^^ I love that series, it's creepy kind of scary. Some good scary games I'd like to mention is Fatal Frame1-3, Clowertower3, and the anime Shiki.
  10. Ohh the ones named so far are good. Is Dead Space really scary to the point of screaming out loud when you play? I know I'm looking forward to Evil Within coming out soon... it looks creepy as hell. I'm too much of a scaredy cat to play it myself, so planning to watch people play it on youtube or something if I can^^;
  11. Since Halloween is coming soon, perhaps people are looking for some scary things to play or watch. What's the scariest you ever watched or played? It can be any movie/anime/game.
  12. The pose is the same, but everything else looks different... so -shrugs-
  13. Monogamy. I might be a bit too possessive for Polygamy Would you rather 1) Live a virtual life in the world of SAO or 2) Live your normal life
  14. I'm feeling hyped/happy because of the new game, Ar Nosurge, I've recently started playing^^
  15. I know there was that huge news a long while back about a teacher bad-mouthing her students on her blog. Apparently some students recognized the situations she was talking about, so it spread all around the school and everyone found out it was her. It blew up in her face in a huge backlash from students/parents and the school didn't support her either. She lost her job, but also became really popular for it, lol. But yeah, lesson learned, posting things online can have huge affect in your real life obviously. Just because it's online doesn't mean you won't suffer consequences for what you say. I don't really know if it's fair.. but, I if you're willing to badmouth someone/something on the internet then you may have to be prepared for the backlash (especially if not done anonymously, that's your own fault). I personally think, yes you're allowed to post your thoughts and all, but be prepared for the consequences if you post it publicly. There are things you can't really say openly in real life for a reason, so it'd still apply online I think. If you don't want to suffer the consequences, it's best to do it anonymously or privately. I think stuff is similar to Cyber Bullying. Just because it's online, doesn't mean its okay to harm/ruin other people's lives. Regarding my thoughts on the teacher incident... I think it's funny and brave of her (or maybe stupid) that she posted those things openly.. Freedom of speech is nice, but I mean.. need to also use some common sense not to get into trouble xD. I'm willing to bet she didn't expect to lose her job and be hated so much after posting her blog.. lol. But c'mon... a teacher badmouthing her students... of course people are going to be angry (even if it could be true).
  16. I believe all their games have been released with Dual Audio, so you can choose between either having English or Japanese voices. (sorry if I'm incorrect, been a long time xD)... I'm know at least Ar 3, and Nosurge have both. Some parts of the games are not completely English dubbed I think... so if you choose Japanese, you will have more of the full experience probably. (That's what I've already noticed in Nosurge. ex: no voice during Dive if voices are in English).
  17. It's a JRPG with some VN elements to it. Yes, it hints at a lot of romance and there is a lot of character development. It seems to be an important aspect in all their games. There will be female characters that have the power of Song Magic (which is extremely powerful, but takes time to charge while in battle), and the Main Character is responsible for protecting them against enemy attacks. So they build a trusting relationship. The battle systems are more similar in game 1-2 where it's turned based, and the 3rd game is more real-time action. The VN-like elements come into play when you have to Dive into the heroines (this means the main character enters into their internal world.. I guess something like their sub-consciousness or w/e through the Dive system). You explore their inner world, pretty much like reading a VN and choose choices that will help her open up and become closer to you. By doing this, in the real world, the heroine will then gain more powerful songs and a stronger bond with the Main Character. So there's a lot of romance element to it. You'll encounter a lot of innuendos xD.. so it can be funny if you're into that.. the game can be really moe. Here's an example: It's been quite a long time since I played 1-3.. but I believe they have multiple endings, depending on the girl you choose to get close with? I enjoyed both Ar Tonelico 1 & 2. Number 2 had more interaction between the two heroines though, so it was better in that aspect. I personally liked the characters in Number 1 more though. I didn't really like Ar Tonelico 3 as much, mostly because of the battle system being a bit boring. The best part of the game is also the nice songs/music^^ I think they could all be played fine as stand-alone games.. but you should definitely try it in order anyways if you can since there are some references, and some characters reappear. Hope you try them!
  18. lol.. I never even heard of this 'New 3DS' until I read this topic. Goes to show I don't follow up on Nintendo much xD. well, good thing I already played it on the Wii. That would suck to have to buy a New 3DS just to play it. I probably won't ever get it unless there is a game exclusive to it that I'm absolutely Dying to play. That would still kind of piss me off a bit... after already having a 3DS, now I have to buy an upgraded version that's almost the same.
  19. Yup, enjoy the game ^^ I'm pretty hyped about it. Yeah, you were the one to tell me about this game coming out . I enjoyed Fairy Fencer somewhat. It was fun, but the story was somewhat lacking I think. Still cute though, and the fighting animations I liked. Fairy Fencer is really short game ^^; you can beat it in less than 20hours I think. But it seems like there is more than one character ending (I got Tiara's ending). I'm guessing to get the true ending, I was in a rush to beat it so I could play Ar Nosurge xD, I beat it in under a week of playing. I have a feeling Ar Nosurge will take longer, hope so!
  20. So I just started playing this game ^^ Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star I found out this game is actually a sequel. The first game is Ciel Nosurge that never got released in english (and probably won't ever, since it's more VN play-style it seems). If you're playing this game, I suggest you read the translated summary of the prequel here (by blackraen). There is a shorter version here (by knightless). It gives more background about the characters, and the story leading up to that point. It definitely gave me a better understanding of the background and made me more attached to the current characters to enjoy the game more ^^ so I'm really glad they made these summaries for us! I really recommend you read the summary of the first game if you're planning to play this. Edit: So I just totally finished reading the Ciel Nosurge summary, and wow that was amazing! You definitely Need to read it if you play Ar Nosurge for a better understanding of the story & characters. Everything will make more sense when starting Ar Nosurge for the first time. Even though it can be long to read, it will definitely be worth it to help you enjoy the game more.
  21. I'd have to pick the intelligent-sarcastic type out of the ones mentioned. They tend to be more interesting to read I think. The more serious-types but also kind. MC such as the one from Swan Song. They tend to calculate their thoughts and assess the situation more before taking action. The one that can annoy me the most is the clueless MC... typically in harems.
  22. so is that like a remake of the original DS game? or a part2? Which story is better, Devil Survivor 1 or 2. Could I skip 1, and just play 2 and not miss too much?
