  1. I just started Kuroshitsuji:Book of Circus since it was released two days ago. I think its pretty good, but that anime is honestly better dubbed. Didn't see that on the Summer 2014 anime discussion but I haven't been following that thread much And I just started Nisemonogatari as well (Preparing for Hanamonogatari in August)
  2. Looks like you're pretty popular. And you have 20 posts already. Someone has been on Fuwa all day
  3. The dark side of business. ANYTHING to make a quick buck
  4. SanadaShadow! You have a new picture! Its kinda weird! Combat Arms... That is a name i haven't heard in quite some time. I was really into that and Soldier Front back in the days of ijji. Those Koreans make the best FPS games. And everything attracts you SanadaShadow! You're like a moth to a bright light. Along the lines of pacing, I think that most people in the Western world wouldn't be attracted to visual novels. They really are for the people who want a deeper experience, and I dont mean shooting someone. Most of the people I know hop from indie shooter to indie shooter. Some of them have played VNs. I guess old habits are hard to break
  5. That SanadaShadow! He's always causing trouble We are the community that needs to spread the word. I think it starts with us. Were fucking pioneers here, we have a responsibility to the West to show everyone what real entertainment is
  6. If new stories were written by Westerners it would bring a new angle to the entire scene. Because our cultures are so different, our ideas flow from different sources. We only like eastern animation because we can understand their ideas. But must Westerners can't, so having the stories written by a different culture may appeal more to that culture. I think it would be interesting to have a large developer make a VN just to see how it plays out. Its straight up business, there is a niche in the market that isnt being filled, and there's no competitors. It would just be a gamble. I would play a VN that didnt have the appeal of a Japanese VN. Definitely wouldn't enjoy western made VNs as the traditional ones, but i would gladly play them. Also, I will be officially announcing my teams plan to make a VN by the end of July, and depending on how the story plays out, it might be done by the end of September
  7. People like Senjougahara and Tomoyo. Pushy and serious sometimes, always cute
  8. I was actually thinking about visual novels that dont have Japanese art style but a more Western cultural view of animation. Hell it could even be live action. A great deal of people think that all people who like anime/read manga etc. are nutjobs so they shy away from anything of that culture. Having a Western art style could bridge that gap.
  9. There is a low chance In my opinion that corporate marketing would succeed in selling large quantities of visual novels. Thats just not what the kids are in to nowadays. And most people who enjoy visual novels arent wealthy. We have visual novels, for free. Visual novels are pretty underground in the United States. And there's a lot of entertainment that we produce that isnt followed by other countries. Isnt that why anime and visual novels exist? Other countries have different interests and tastes than Western society. If somehow visual novels began to become more mainstream, there would be no problem changing the language haha
  10. Grisaia is the only game I have had a problem moving in the past. Since most games store the save right in the file folder its easy to just copy/paste the entire game no problem. Games that require install or mount are not intuitively easy to move
  11. I download the games and copy them for my friends who are interested. A large quantity of the people I know have never heard of them, so I like to introduce people to all of Japanese culture, especially visual novels
  12. Watching the Fuwa community bond, it pulls on my heart strings & makes me all warm and fuzzy inside
  13. Since I'm a writer, I can edit/look over anything related to the text. Let me know if my help is still needed in any way
  14. Definitely an older sister! 1. Have no hands or 2. Have no eyes
  15. SanadaShadow! Indeed I did Tomoyo After didn't get to me like Clannad did. Believe me, I couldn't finish living until I played it though, but I wasn't sad when it ended
  16. Everyone should have at least one friend on Fuwa!

  17. SanadaShadow. Post 2 more times I was quite sad to see Clannad end, especially since my waifu is Tomoyo
  18. My 1.5 mbps internet did not like this page. Here's a very cute image
  19. SanadaShadow! If you're posting here, then ill post here too! 1. Drink coffee or 2. Drink tea
  20. I thought it might be interesting to see what the Fuwa community likes or dislikes in studios. Feel free to list a few studios that you like or comment on studios that you believe are succeeding or failing. Here's a few that I have enjoyed in no particular order: Bones Production I.G Gainax Shaft and some Studio Deen
  21. The 4th of July, just another reason to party

  22. They sound like some real ghetto bitches
  23. Mobile visual novels just make me laugh after having played most of my visual novels on a 47" monitor. Same goes for PSP and DS VNs
  24. The game we are going to make is not for profit. In fact, when it is completed I plan on sharing it with the community here! There is no real Western market for visual novels, an extremely small proportion of players actually purchase visual novels through steam, j-list, etc. I believe that sexual content is a major theme of visual novels. Take that away and you have lost many of the greatest visual novels ever made. I enjoyed Swan Song myself. Thought it was pretty different than the school life idea that has been used countless times. You have got me thinking about ideas though, in that respect thank you
