Yeah, I voted for Rin though. While I love Shinobu, she can take care of herself xD
-
While it is a good top 5 indeed, I'd recommend a little diversity there. KEY is, without a doubt, author of amazing titles as you said, but there are other great companies out there too =D
-
Obviously Illya.

Same here, but I actually voted for Rin rather than being a Subaru hater.

Well, I played on PS3 and I've got to say it is a pretty awesome game. A little short, but it will take a long time to do all the VR missions and clearing all the dificulty levels (I've only done the latter, VR is fucking insane). Great OST btw.

So far I've always used fullscreen and it works pretty well so far. It gives a better immersion level and I feel like if I multitask while playing I'd lose out lots of parts, both pragmatically and emotionally speaking.

http://vndb.org/u42597/list - about 35, though there are some that I don't remember the name so I didn't put it on this list. And here I thought I played a great deal of VN... Gotta read moar xD~~ Quality over quantity I guess? Anyways top 10 would be too troublesome to make, so I'll settle for this: 1st: G Senjou no Maou 2nd: Fate Stay Night 3rd: Sharin no Kuni 4th: Rewrite 5th and so on: Too many candidates, so it's arguable.

It's as worth it as it is long.

Does Adult Content in localized VNs affect your purchase decisions?
Sieg replied to sanahtlig's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Down, you sir deserve a medal. Taking action based on the situation, the relativity of each and every issue and acting accordingly to them is mostly the way to go with said issues (and with life in general, to me at least xD). I agree with Down completely, I only wanted to add that another factor would be the "target audience". Say, I want to give a gift to a friend of mine or I want to recomment a VN to some local organiser of anime events, my decision would be based on their preferences as well. -
^ Wow that escalated quickly xD. Just kidding, the pace was really immersive, and you actually used some writing techniques that aren't much common. I liked your style to be blunt, mostly I'd say that apart from a good vocabulary, what standed out the most to me was the flow your writing has (in this sample anyways). Now, if possible I'd like to help too but honestly, I don't know if what I have to say can be any good. Therefore, I'd have to "study" or research before spouting bullshit on your blog so I'm not much confident. Generally speaking I think I could review an anime episode, a manga or a VN, but I'd have to improve my "arguments" to make more than just my opinion.

Is that for me? If so yeah, good to see you again too =D

Nice pics. The Sharin one reminds me of the art of Hercules from disney, but I prefer the style you used on the fate one.
-
Pretty much what you said. I have high hopes for the yandere though,

Sometimes the simpler, the better. So not bad at all.

Yeah, I've seen it... Hoshimemo is so far SO good (xD), the plot, the pace, the voices and the system (as well as the art) are all above average. Looking foward to it =D

I "did" all the girls (routes, obviously xD) in Katawa Shoujo and I have to say, Shizune the the lamest by far, both the character and the route itself. One of the only routes where Hisao has ABSOLUTELY NO BALLS (he mostly don't have them, but being non-existense is bringing to an entire new level). Rin's route was worthwhile in my opinion, one of the routes I cared the most in the game. Not because of Rin herself, I guess the plot is immersive.. I dunno xD. Well, I agree that every route must be played in order to complete a VN, as in every non extra route. I won't say you haven't played Rewrite if you didn't do the Oppai ending.

Thanks

Finished Dra+Koi in one go. I'd say... so-so. Not bad really but not quite good either. Anyways finnaly, finnaly, FINNALY I'll play hoshizora no memoria. I've been postponing it for a while now, but I'll at last find salvation in the blissful loli / imouto filled environment!

Monogatari Series FTW! Some Fate too, gotta love both the music and the animation =D
-
The only "external help" I use is recommendations on route orders. Apart from that I don't use walkthroughs at all, except when I've already finished all the main routes and go for the extras, such as the oppai route in Rewrite (which I did today and was hillarious). I feel that as "spoilerless" as an walkthrough can be, you aways catch on something. Besides, I feel like cheating whenever I used one so.. nah. It is really exciting to dive into a story without any prior knowledge or warning.

I use auto when I'm eating or when I'm too tired, but it's quite rare.

Seems like I have a lot of free time compared to most people xD. Basically, I play one VN at a time, and rarely a nukige in parallel to lighten the mood. Trust me, after playing Phenomeno, Kara no Shoujo or some intense FSN scene, nothing beats a little My gf is the president before hitting the sack. That said I usually play at night as the mood is better, and about 3 to 4 hours per session, but I disregard thoses habits completely when I get hooked to an outstanding title. I never hit the 30 hour straight milestone, but I prolly got close to 12 hours straight while playing G Senjou and FSN.

"VN are japanese games developed through storytelling specs, mechanics and relevant antics such as art, music and narration." You could say that VNs are an art of its own, but that's another story. I don't think it's simple enough but if I'd have to took my time explaining, that's how I would do it.

The power of the light novels.. Looking foward to that! Though I agree that so far it's not as good as the first season.

Interesting Difference Between Eroge and Nukige

You could say that... (•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■) ...You had it coming. (YEAAHHHHHH) But seriously, you have to xD
