I suspect Chisato felt a connection or affinity with Michuru - though Michuru's past was "MUCH" more traumatic. Chisato could sense as much, at least subconciously. I actually felt the deepest impact from her breakdown in Michuru's story, because she let him go - regardless of how hard it was on her. That takes a certain strength and maturity. (it's also heartbreaking to watch ;_; ) -
Does "Kyou After ~another Way another Ring~" exist?

EDIT: Nosebleed beat me I was able to dig up the cg set through the powers of the internet, and it actually looks pretty decent - and based on the cgs, seems to actually try and be more then just porn. huh, wish this was in english, It seems to borrow the direction I had hoped the true end would have gone~ clannad endgame spoiler: -

I started off despising her - but she ended up being my favorite after reading through the whole thing (skipped her route and saved it for last). Seeing the different sides to her in every route had left a huge impression on me, and really humanized her. -
This. Seriously, us weebs seem to go ape-shit over figurines and dakis. I personally don't get it (I've only ever bought one figurine and don't want a daki), but it seems to be pretty true, looking at the past few Kickstarters where they were offered. I'd second the opinion that you guys should look into that. Making them Kickstarter-exclusive is also probably a good idea, if you do end up deciding to go through with it. Agreed. I also only have one figurine ( Saber Alter, expensive as sin - but so worth it.), but I can see real appeal to it. Daki's are another good choice, though some people might be paranoid about customs~

It was a decent read - though they still managed to sneak in a backhanded "buying playboy to read it" type quip, when discussing fans' motivations for liking a particular game. Oh well, still a better read then it normally is from them, it's almost unbiast. almost.

Loev this guy, he did a great job picking apart Mass effect 3 back in the day.

Just random thoughts, but I suspect many in our niche demograph are running low on cash that can be spared for VNs - it has been (pleasantly) a full year with alot of potential releases, and also with it being christmas time, probably doesn't help much. Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys - It's lost some momentum, but it's still early on and has a decent chance of pulling through (Hey, if Wish can make it so can you guys...even if the costs are vastly different, heh). For what it's worth, dropped my money into it.

aaand you just contradicted yourself. What was the purpose of posting if you're gonna say that you cant be negative about it and then do the exact same after? lol, it's a bad habit of mine, I can't ever keep my mouth shut even if I know better
-
I'd be a hypocrite (correction, I AM a hypocrite, sue me ) to say anything too negative about this one - as I have my own tastes (praise Suzu! ) that people might dislike. But all i'll say is nope - added this one to my blacklist. Consensual sexytime is one thing - even if it's controversial (ie incest, etc) But portrayals of sexual violence - be it rape, or worse - is disgusting to me on a personal level - and I cannot fathom why people would ever like to witness another being harmed. But to each their own, as long as they don't try that shit in real life

vn release Gahkthun of the Golden Lightning released!
Suzu Fanatic replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I'm curious if this will contain a lot of repetition of scenes, like its predecessors. I recall people mentioning Sakurai writes in such a way to create a unique style/feeling - and the prose simply didn't translate well into English in the former titles. Not wholly turned on with that mechanic if it ends up playing another stylistic factor though - rather then "artistic" it just feels like lazy writing - regurgitating the exact same lines over and over throughout a story. Time will tell at this point, already pre-ordered my copy. (Though I think Cold Steel is going to get my full attention before anything else ) -
I must apologize - I helped back that terrible creation. I had such high hopes, based on the concept.... But the end result...well....

All done - it's a bit late, so I wont go too in-depth atm, but here's my final verdict (and yes, I am apparently insane for the selection - esp. based on my previous opinions, lol) Isara > Chisato > Mifuyu > Michuru > Satsuki (best story order - read Chisato's last) Chisato > Michuru > Isara > Satsuki > Mifuyu (best girl order - I know, I'm insane for liking Chisato that much - but after reading all the stories - you get to see all sides of her, and that had a real impact on me) Afterthoughts: Yuuki is insufferable for a huge chunk of the VN, with exception to Isara's and Chisato's stories. And finally, can't help but wonder why a VN developed in 2012 would be using a 4:3 ratio. Not a turn-off, but surprisingly retro. -

I'd still have to stick with Tomoya as my favorite. A bit of a bad ass, yet still has a heart - and can actually understand the feelings of others (er, mostly ). Basically follows the same motto I do: "Do no harm, take no shit." Back on topic, I finished Michuru's route. -

Won't lie, it's taking all my willpower to read this thing - I so badly want to punch Yuuki in the face. (partway through Satsukis route) I mean...graaaaghh...I don't have much patience for characters like him, it seems lol.... Satsuki is a cutie though~ EDIT: Finished Satsuki's story. -
More nostalgic stuff for old farts like myself

I've completely changed my mind about Chisato, and decided to save her route for last. I have a rough idea of her story, because the game forced me to watch 3 key events in automode despite me trying to fastforward -_- . But I think it will be the best way to end the VN, So next up will be Satsuki. -

In a bit of a nostilgic mood, dragged something out from the long-dead past, lol. There might be a handful of you that can relate. -

Alright, looks like my opinion of Chisato has improved a great deal. I still find her to be a bit of a bitch at times, but I have alot more respect for her. Liking it so far, it's engaging - even if frustrating. -
Root Double- Before Crime * After Days - Kickstarter launched!
Suzu Fanatic replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Personally I'd "like" to get Root Double, but I'm getting a bit tired with the whole pre-purchase process Sekai is angling at. I'm already waiting for about 6 other titles to come to life that I have backed as it is. Esp. when you consider the technical conundrum that they "could" just take the money and run - it would be business suicide, sure - but crowdfunding currently does not count as legally-binding purchases, but rather donations, at the core. Not really inclined to throw any more of money into the void until I see some concrete results (on new titles, rather then re-sold fan TLs with some polish, and short indie titles) -
