  1. Already look at this in the Japanese version, and I could comment a little here. The size for this game was surprisingly low (Around 3.5 or so GB, while I expected something like 7 GB to be honest here). You could also play this on English locale, so I think there's should be no need to port it to the engine that was suitable for English locale (I didn't knew about scripting here to much to be honest). For textbox here, you could change it to ADV mode (Usual VN Interface) here. Hapymaher here also had same feature as Noble Works and Dracu Riot here (Skip to next choice and replay the previous scenes, and the replay was also divided per chapter). Overall, I didn't had the complain for the engine here, and the translation progress here was fast here (Or to be exact the translation was already in progress before the announcement) with currently 46.5% translated and 24% edited. That's all for my first look at Hapymaher here. PS - Looking forward to translated version of Hapymaher here.
  2. I see. Then I'll try recommend some more here (No gameplay though, and about character you could symphatize with I think it'll depend on you here). For my recommendations here, how about Tokyo Babel, KIkokugai (Use remake version if you prefer modern art here), Ayakashibito, and Comyu? I think the art for those games was quite good imo. Once again hope my recommendations here help.
  3. If you need something that quite similar in term of setting, maybe Galaxy Angel and it's sequels here (Although the art maybe not your taste though)? Otherwise, if you like medieval setting then you could also try Eien no Aselia and it's sequel Seinarukana here. Hope it'll be help to you here.
  4. Welcome to Fuwanovel, and good luck with your project here. And if you need some feedback about your VN here, feel free to ask us. Hope you had fun here.
  5. Visual Novel Translation Status (09/03/2016) Since we had Sakura Space for the image header and I still not sakura-fied old Macross anime here yet, so why not make 'Super Dimensional Fortress Sakura' here as the title? Obviously the anime that I parodied was very old anime Macross (Macross setting was in space by the way) once again. As for my opinion about Sakura Space releasse, whatever. Welcome to my VNTS Review for this week. About what happening for last few days, we had something like Chrono Clock kickstarter for hard copy was launched and Aroduc was write some sort of his tantrum blog post targeted to Sekai because Sekai was kind of refusing for using Aroduc's work for Baldr Sky localization. Of course, there's some exciting stuff like Mangagamer updates here too. So let's start my VNTS Review here. Other Apart from Sakura Space, we also had the update from Enigma VN which according to Conjueror was already one third (33%) translated. The premise was like there's some island which like sealed from the rest of the world which afflicted by disease called enigma. I don't know if this is Conjueror secret project according to the rumor was true or not, but what I knew is that Fruitbat was planning to release this at Winter 2016. Let's see it later if they'll fulfill their promise or not here. For more info, right now Fruitbat already opened pre-order store at Steam with 25% off for Enigma. Fan Translation For usual progress Tsui Yuri was had retranslating progress finished; Bishoujo Mangekyou was at halfway (50%) edited, 38% QC, and 15% proofread (Arcadeotic also tease that something interesting will happen at October 10th. What is it? Let's see it later); and for Majokoi right now we had slight translating progress from last week (0.7%, bringing total translated script was at 36.9%) and 27.2% edited. Oh, and for Kanobito translation project Mitch was planning to releasing prologue patch here. I read about poll for sex sound effect here, and I was like 'Huh?' (For the progress of the VN in question (Kurukuru Fanatic), it was at 3% edited). For my opinion here, I think nobody will care for how should sex sound was translated there ie might as well the translator stop doing pointless poll there. As for the VN itself, the user who had yandere fetish should looking forward to this. Another progress here would be from Konosora retranslation project which right now they had Ageha route was at 90% completed after long time with no update. Speaking of the project which for long time had no update, this week we had Ushinawareta (I'll shorten it to Ushieta here) translation revived, and right now they almost finished translating Airi route (87.2% translated). They also in need for another translator who willing to translated H-Scenes, because the translator didn't want to translating H-Scenes. About the VN, looks like it'll be involving astronomy school club here. I'll try to keep my eyes on this project. I think that's all for Fan Translation segment right now, and if Luna Translation give some updates I'll add it here later. Sekai Project About Aroduc's tantrum, once again I think his post here was could be use as some sort of clarification that he didn't involved in Baldr Sky localization by Sekai there. What I want to said here is that even if Aroduc was heavily involved with Sekai there, it'll still take long time here if we recall Seinarukana case here (Granted it was JAST, but still). And we didn't knew of how much of translation progress from Sekai's chosen translator there. So my stance here would be just wait and see if we talk about Baldr Sky (To be frank, I didn't care for whoever will handle Baldr Sky translation here, as long as we got it in English soon or later). Let's leave sticky issue aside here, and we had some update from Sekai here of course. First of all, for their usual update we had Maitetsu at 26.84% translated and Tenshin Rahman was at 43.02% translated here. As for Grisaia trilogy update here, we had 80% translation for unrated Meikyuu (They also planned to release this in Autumn, after finishing technical and testing that will started at this month) and for Rakuen right now it was at 64% translated. Be glad if some reader here was Grisaia hardcore fan. And for last news here, Princess Knight released was delayed again because there was many bug to fix there (Hope it'll be fast here). For last news, Sekai launched another Kickstarter for Chrono Clock physical edition here. While the goal here was very low, let me said congratulations here for very successful Kickstarter here (46,938 gathered right now). About the comparison to Root Double here, I agree that this Kickstarter was more successful for the first days if we both looking at Root Double Kicktraq and Chrono Clock Kicktraq (To comment about real comparison here, I'll talk about it on Chrono Clock last day for crowdfunding). For more info, they also work together with Nutaku, which apparently was quite infamous because of their heavy censorship there. Although if we thinking that at some time Nutaku announced that they will be like Steam for 18+ game only, I think it kind of make sense here (Sakura Space release was already proved that). For the release date, they promised that they release it at January 2017, although looking at the translation progress here I had slight doubt like Libra (Right now it was at 32.19% translated, and if they really want to fulfill the deadline I hope it'll include editing progress here). Mangagamer This week we had so many update from Mangagamer here. Let me list it one by one here, but beforehand let me apologise here because I was wrong about the release of Orc Castle from last week. The truth is that Orc Castle was released few days ago here. And about Himawari, I think it was still in testing. First of all, Funbag Fantasy was ready for pre-order with 10% off. Get it if you big breast fan here. Kuroinu Chapter 1 was fully translated. Whatever. Da Capo 3 still in scripting and they about to testing the demo (I'll try to play this later). Pygmalion 72% edited. At least I'm sure that they'll finish the editing this year (Maybe). Fata Morgana fandisc was at 33% translated. Suki Suki was at three quarter (75%) translated and 60% edited. For Dal Segno, finally they show the progress here. The progres was almost half of it (46.7%) translated and 28% edited. Anyone looking forward to naked butler here? Be glad for anyone who looking forward to that because Naked Butler was at a quarter (25%) retranslated. Boukaku was at 10% for both of editing and trandlating progress. Sorcery Joker was at 38% translated and 28% edited. Nyuu Jene was almost finished with both of translating and editing progress at 98%. Finally, Hapymaher was also at almost halfway translated (46.5%) and almost a quarter (24%) edited. This week Mangagamer was showing uncensored CGs for Hapymaher. What interest me is not the CG, but apparently they did that as some sort to response Chrono Clock Kickstarter here, which probably still had the mosaic here (Not that I care about it in first place here). That's all for Mangagamer updates here, and looking forward to Atlanta here because Mangagamer was tease us with another new partner there (Although it was not from famous VN company though, probably). For last word here, since admin Tay asking about new table, I think it was good here, although if I may said that you better do it at year's end if you want to cover the release for whole years here (Just my opinion). That's all for my VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - Forgot another progress from Mangagamer here. For Imopara 2, right now it was at 74.4% translated and 42% edited.
  6. Good review there, although it maybe not so favorable here though. For more elaboration here, I also happened to like the romance between side characters here (Kazuhiko and Takako, or if you prefer their nickname Higashino (East) and Nishizono (West)) more compared to the romance between Yukinari and Sakura here. And while Decay said that this chapter was pretty much quite complete, I must said that minori was probably develop Sakura Chapter with how to made the overall of first story in mind, so that's why Sakura Chapter was quite underwhelming (Probably). I also should ask why minori decided to released first story divided by 2 instead of just released it completely there (To be more blunt here, I'd disagree with minori's decision here), but what's done is done. For now I just hope that minori will find success in their sort of crowdfunding here to see complete story of Supipara. PS - I think it's more like no sex here that factoring the flop in Japan there. I said this because minori VN after this had many heroines with big breast (Something that almost never happened before Supipara) and lengthy sex scenes (From what I'd read sex scene at minori's game before Supipara was quite short). Just my guess here. PPS - Takako there was quite cute imo.
  7. Late to response here, although you may considering these VNs. Koi Resort was from same company as Konosora and had more relaxing setting (At the resort). Yoake was had some plot (Although overall it's quite light though). To Heart 2 was basic charage, so it should be light in term of atmosphrere of course. Oh, and of course all of them had some kind of romance. Hope it'll help. PS - About Konosora, I'd recommended that you better get the Japanese version of it and using the English patch instead of using restoration patch on Steam version, because the CG Mode was buggy and quite a mess.
  8. Welcome to Fuwanovel, and for your project here good luck. Hope it'll be successful in the future.
  9. ......Interesting situation I guess? Regardless I think Aroduc's post there could also serve as some sort of indirect confirmation that he didn't involved in Baldr Sky (And machosist as well for trying translating the game with the engine that he loathed so much). What I knew for now that even if the situation was favorable for Aroduc there, there's still long way there if we talking about Baldr Sky release here (Seinarukana was took 3 years to release after Aroduc was announced that he'll translate it). PS - Looks like Overwatch was quite addictive, now that Aroduc use it as stress reliever after Original Ren here (Not that I knew about it).
  10. Maybe True Remembrance and Higanbana here? For explanation, Higanbana maybe had same bad art as Umineko and Higurashi (Well, it's Ryuukishi art after all), but if you knew how popular both of Higurashi and Umineko were, at least you could expect that it will be good (Hopefully). True Remembrance was short story about how some sort of memory deleter live (Hard to explain) with his patient. Both of those was translated of course. Hope it'll help you.
  11. About your situation, he was only around 12 or 13 if you think of it. And most anime which kid at that age watch would be either Dragon Ball or Naruto imo (I didn't knew which anime that was broadcasted right now in Hong Kong). Also maybe he didn't understand Japanese there, since Konosora FD was untranslated and to be honest for someone who didn't knew VN it was just looks like static image to some people (Which is why that it was quite hard to impress people with VN here). Just my thought here okay, and of course I take a liking to VN (Otherwise I won't be here).
  12. If you consider single heroine tag at VNDB, maybe Saya no Uta (Quite disturbing though). And if you want patiently waiting for translation, Bishoujo Mangekyou should be quite similar to Furifure there (Except the single heroine was vampire and quite dominant there). Hope it'll help you.
  13. Oh, I'd forget all time favorite Fate Stay Night here for recommendation. Hope it'll help once again here.
  14. Happy early birthday here, @kyrt. Hope you had a good year ahead of you.
  15. Let me post Flyable Heart OP video here. I knew that there's a full version one, but I prefer the game opening version video. Guess you could said that the opening was one of my reason that I decided to continue playing Flyable Heart despite awful translation there.
  16. If I may honest here, it was quite hard to get people impressed by VN here, especially if the goal of introducing VN here was to make people enjoying VN for very long time here. I think for the VN, all of the user above already give good opinion imo. Although if I may suggest here, maybe short VN here would be a little help to introduce newcomer to VN here. My example here would be Shinikiss - Quite depressive VN, although if some people mind common route because of choice, this should be good here (There's only one choice for the entire game here, and the choice was very decisive for which route you'll enter). Had some sex scene of course. Kikokugai - Short and kinetic VN with the story about revenge, full of action and the OST was very action oriented there. You could choose between old version which didn't had voice and new version which had voice. There's sex scene in both version here, but if newcomer here didn't like the sex scene, might as well considering got the remake because the scene CG was toned down there (I'd read remake version by the way and already finished it). Shuffle - My first story oriented eroge here. Obviously had sex scene here of course, but for the length it was quite nice I think (Not too long and not too short here either). I think this VN also good to introduce some elements which will present in many moege/charage there. True Remembrance - Short kinetic VN, and the opening song was quite good. The premise was like some people who had the job to erase patient's memory in order to recover the patient from the disease (It was quite hard to explain here). I think that's all I could think of what VN that should be introduced to newbie here. Although maybe my VN list here would be not so useful here though. Feel free to add more here.
  17. Like Solidbatman earlier here, I'd also recommended House in Fata Morgana here. As for your request here, well if you looking for atmospheric VN like the anime above there's not much here that was translated for now. Although maybe if you looking closely resemble to that, you could try Kara no Shoujo duology here (And Cartagra as well). Oh, also Umineko here might be good for you as well (Also check Higurashi there). Hope it'll help you here and welcome to Fuwanovel by the way.
  18. Welcome to Fuwanovel. I'd saw your post in VNDB and I thought that you should ask for recommendation at Fuwanovel here. If you looking for something dramatic, I think for recently translated Tokyo Babel and Root Double should be good here. Hope it'll help.
  19. Well, the title says it all. Sekai announced another Kickstarter for Chrono Clock (Not surprise here unless you just knew VN either today or yesterday). What interest me is that the goal was very low for VN with good production value (Only 20,000 goal here, while we knew some VN like that was had goal around 100,000 more). I don't care if Kickstarter becaming some kind of pre-order shop for Sekai here, but I thought I better share this news here. Any thought about this? Oh, and they also ask Nutaku here, so maybe 18+ version here? Chrono Clock Kickstarter
  20. Ok then. I'm sorry for calling you Frontwing fanatic earlier here. May I ask the question whether if you will to defend Winged Cloud honor here because they technically already prove themselves over the years to making fantastic VNs, you know (If looking at many Sakura Vns on VNDB page, that is)? Oh, I knew the answer here (Of course you will if you True VN Fan™ here).
  21. Well, it's already sure thing thay JAST didn't had any precense here from the employee, so any localization company employee who had account here would be sure thing that they had more precense than JAST USA here. Back to topic, putting OP overwhelmingly Frontwing fanatic tendency aside, I think if I may said honestly here the wall scroll was not that interesting and the best to majority people here unless they have same taste as OP here (Although maybe some user here also interested with that though). As for 2nd volume, will it resolve the story more satisfactory here or not I wonder. Either way good luck to Frontwing there and hope you could find a good solution there.
  22. About learning Japan, I think learning a little bit of katakana and hiragana wouldn't too bad here (Wiki could help too). But about kanji, it would be hard here because you'll need at least to know around 1,000 kanji at the beginning of middle school while we also had around 50,000 kanji iirc. Although learning Japan here would be preferable to read untranslated VN, but I think I would not do that because right now I was quite satisfied with translated VN catalogue here now and if I already fluent in Japan that would mean that my backlog will be increased a lot here, and my backlog here to be very honest was already handful enough. Oh, speaking about learning Japan from anime, I think part of it would be my experience from reading and listening the spoken title there. It could help a little here, although to be honest only children anime that had big title screen there (The title also had of how to read it in katakana and hirgana if it had kanji). The medium here for me was Pretty Cure title. That's all for my little experience here.
  23. Playing Flyable Heart a bit more. Seeing 2 events from student council president I couldn't help but thinking is he play Higurashi too much (He was game addict) so much that he adopted 'water gun battle royale' from Tsumihoroboshi and 'zombie tag' from Onikakushi as school event here. For the route I'm going to Mayuri once again.
  24. Happy early birthday here, @Fiddle.Thanks for Noodle Works patch here and your lamp here I suppose. Hope you had good year ahead.
  25. Welcome to Fuwanovel. If your taste was mystery and sci-fi, then I think Root Double, I/O, and Ever17 here should be good (Don't forget Remember11 too). Hope we could got along and had fun here.
