My opinion? I don't know about the game because I'm still not playing this. But from Frontwing tweet there I think both of their feature was nothing special ie too common for Steam VN. There's already some of VN at Steam with emote, and while I don't know of how many time needed to read light novel but at least there's also many linear VN on Steam. Add episodic release (Or volume) issue here and we at least could deduct the reason here. Other than that, not much here.

Visual Novel Translation Status (08/20/2016) This week title, since we had Flowers sudden release from JAST and Flowers itself will be planned as tetralogy and will be based on the season, I decided to combine the first game from Season game series (Natsuyume Nagisa and Hatsuyuki Sakura) of Niijima Yuu and Saga Planet fame (Coming x Humming!!) and Flower here (Also first Flower was in spring season for the timeline here). The reason I chose Coming for the first half part because there's a Japanese children song called 'Haru ga Kita' or for the translation 'Spring has Come'. The Coming part from 'Coming x Humming' was probably from the children song that mentioned beforehand. As for Flowers release it was quite sudden here, and from some posts that I'd read in the thread I think the translation was quite good enough so that at least there's no much complain compared to last time when there's many uproar in regard of the flawed translation (Personally I didn't care about the translation, but that's just me). For now I'm still not playing Flowers yet, but I knew that for anime fan they got Kaori Nazuka (Nunnally from Code Geass) and Sakura Ayane (Nao Tomori from Charlotte. Also Jun Maeda favorite seiyuu according to some news) there as the seiyuu. Okay, back to usual business here, my VNTS Review (Interesting that Decay and Tay didn't had comment here, or maybe it's still too early). Also since it's already late for this time I'll just do some roundup here without section, and since I'd state about Flowers release might as well add more JAST progress here (Katahane remake was had editing for original translation ongoing and right now they also translating new scenario (No exact number here), and Princess X was 85% translated) For Sekai, there's still no project that announced from AX that added to their translation progress here other than they only had progresses for 3 projects here. These 3 projects were Maitetsu (22.49% translated), Chrono Clock (30.1% translated, at least they continuing this even after Purple Software partnering with Mangagamer), and Tenshin Rahman (37.69% translated). Well, they at least gave stable update for their project with good production value there (Seiyuu and opening song was the factor I said that). That's all for Sekai, and maybe the shakeup in Sekai was more damaging than I thought here (Or maybe not much damaging). Tsui Yuri, the editing progress was at 68% and just a hour ago Dergonu state that they'll joined Luna Translation there. Speaking about Luna Translation here, I'd sorry to said that Hanasaki project dropped after some C&D there (And that was after some drama about Hanasaki not too long ago here). About C&D thing, what I could comment for now is that some VN Translation project received that. Oh, and of course we had another progress from here, and right now we had some Majokoi progress (Too much number here by the way, and for the progress we had 34.2% translated, 18.8% edited, 11.1% TLC, 14% proofread, and 10.7% QC). And for the least but certainly not the least, we had Bishoujo Mangekyou at 46.5% edited and 25.5% QC. I think that's all for fan translation progress, and for this week we had an established project with goal to translated Fortune Arterial there. If some of you read this and want to help, they need some TLC and you could post about help at that thread (Fortune Arterial Translation Project) if you had confidence in Japan to do some TLC. For Mangagamer, this week they definitely had so many progress here, but too bad there's still no progress for Hapymaher and Sona-Nyl yet. For the progress, first of all they had Kuroinu (95% translated), Suki Suki (71% translated) and Imopara 2 (63% translated and 42.5% edited) some progress. They also had Fata Morgana fandisc at 31% translated and Himatsubushi both fully translated and edited (No surprise here, since Himaitsubushi was shortest chapter in Higurashi, and by the way about Tatarigoroshi mod they still hadn't graphic patch yet). Both of announced Rance series was also fully edited and translated here (I'm more surprised if they show Rance VI progress at picked up or low translation percentage there, considering that Arunaru already translated 88% of it before he was hired by Mangagamer). For more info, 5D was in scripting and VI was in image editing. Speaking about translating before the announcement, we also had Nyuu Jene and Sorcery Joker which apparently already had some progress before Otakon (91% translated and edited for Nyuu Jene, and 33% translated and 22% edited for Sorcery Joker). For more update, we had Hadaka Shitsuji at 22% retranslated (I said this because we already had translation in the past, and I don't care too much anyway) and Boukaku 7.5% translated and edited. For last 2 updates, we had Pygmalion at 60% edited (At least they managed to prove that they not necessarily had 8% edited for each update here ie 2 weeks) and Himawari was almost finishing beta testing. Oh, and for Da Capo 3 right now they do their best for preparing the demo (And the engine work still continuing there). Oh, and this week Libra didn't had any translation progress, but they already prepared for the pre-order here, which hopefully they could deliver Libra at December (Although from the progress I kind of had slight doubt here). That's all for my VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - Forgot to comment that we got both of Steins Gate and Dies Irae going to Steam. My comment about Dies Irae here would be let's see if it will be the truth or not, but for Steins Gate I think I could only comment that it was already obsolete because Steins Gate was already well known and discussed to the death at many forum (Although if this release was going to made Chaos Child or other 5pb games in Steam, maybe Steins Gate on Steam releaese was not so obsolete there). Edit - There's many update from Luna Translation other than Majokoi. Hanasaki once again dropped because of C&D issued by Saga Planet (Guess we better called Saga Planet was the new generation 'cursed' project after both of Yuzusoft and August free of that ie Saga Planet VN will be never translated for now at least). For Kanobito, once again Mitch already gathered his team and for the progress right now they had 45 scripts translated, 18 scripts finished TLC, and 1 script edited. About Witch Garden, basically right now they managed to had more than halfway common route finished TLC here although for now there's no progress in the translation though. That's all for the edit now. Edit 2 - For Clover Days, our Ittaku had twins (Hekiru and Hikaru) route was at halfway (50%) translated.

About my statement for Hotaru chapter here, let me state that was not my opinion here. In fact it was the absolute fact that next chapter will be about Hotaru there. The reason I said that because back at last year Otakon, I was interested with Supipara and so I decided to check for Supipara review and read it. And of course I'd found out about Hotaru route from there (Well, I'm spoiler seeker here). For Ryouko, it certainly interesting that you'll think the next chapter will be about here, but I think we still don't know much about our Yukinari past here and about Alice I suspect that there was more than she state about her meeting with Yukinari in the past there (No, he had an accident and Alice save him at the cost of Ryouko's memory didn't count here). About Ryouko here, I would like to suspect that minori was probably save Ryouko story for Story 2 before it was finally scrapped because once again sales wasn't good at Japan there for Story 1 alone (In Japan, Supipara divided to 2 stories, story 1 which consist of Sakura and Hotaru, and planned story 2). Well, what I knew that if Mangagamer managed to gather the necessary money for Chapter 3 to 5 here, I'd definitely couldn't searching the Japanese version review for the spoiler here. Oh, and about Hotaru chapter here if you need some official answer here that not from the spoiler, I could quote Kaitsu from the interview. From there we surely could conclude that next chapter will be about Hotaru even if you didn't read the spoiler like me, just from considering that Sakura Chapter was more like Smile Story and Pi from Supipara mean Peace, and from the quite above we could conclude that once again next chapter will be Hotaru's. PS - Did some of you saw a girl who had sprite in Chapter 1 (Other than Momiji and Takako of course)? Take note of her, she will play some role later (Probably).

Interesting news here, although obviously we didn't knew when it'll be happen of course. Dies Irae, for now I could only comment that this game full of battle scene, Moogy said that it was one of hard to translate VN, and our Clephas like this (His avatar was Dies Irae villain). In regard of release, I wouldn't complain about lack of sex scene here because Dies Irae was also released at PSP in the past and about the cropping here, I wouldn't know of how much difference it will make between original and translation here, so I wouldn't complain about the cropping here too of course.

To answer ChaosRaven above, from Hotaru Chapter review that I'd read I think it'll probably will following Umineko ie loop with some difference. About Sakura Chapter, if ChaosRaven said so (No time to develop Sakura story) at least there's some explanation from the witch ie Sakura didn't really need witch spell here, although I agree with you that Sakura here was quite bland here ie didn't had many character development here (She was quite entertaining though), then again if this is supposed to be story introduction, guess it make sense that it more focused to the introduction than the heroine story (Like Fate Route in Fate Stay Night). In this chapter, actually instead of Sakura I'd more interested with Takako (I mean Nishizono) who decided to team up with Alice for beauty contest (Forgot to tell that 2 contestants allowed to team up in one performance) after seeing of how Alice violin play was far more better than Takako's piano play (Didn't play for years will do that, although Takako piano skill was still good). For the climax itself, too bad there's no beauty contest shown, and actually this will scream bad story telling because we couldn't see the excitement of the contest itself (Also the fact Yukinari memory about the contest was taken as the cost will surely made many people disappointed that they couldn't see the excellent beauty contest), such as Hotaru supposed deadly magic show or Alice and Takako dual performance there (Minori actually could add one of their OST as the piece that was played). Another disadvantage here would be we couldn't see Sakura and Yukari (Yukinari female name) show which supposed to show us of how they managed to perform splendidly. All we know that Sakura was in 2nd place and Alice and Takako was in the 1st place. Maybe I'm nitpicking too much here, but guess it couldn't be help here if minori really was run out of time for the production there. For last word here, I knew about Yuuko and Elicia here and funny enough this time their seiyuu was not the one who voiced Alice here. To add more irony here, Yamada Yuna (Yuuko and Elica seiyuu) here was voicing our sadist Hotaru here. Quite interesting. PS - About the witch, I think it will be more used in Hotaru Chapter and definitely in last chapter (Chapter 5). Although from Momiji and Alice interaction I could see that there's some interesting story between them (Momiji here was said could expelled Alice, and both of Momiji and Alice quite hostile to each other). PPS - How many Alice that I'd find in VNs just recently? First it was from here, then Majokoi and finally Hapymaher. Looks like Japanese like name Alice for cute girl character there. Just saying.

There is an interview with the staff of Supipara. I thought it was quite interesting, so I decided to post it below. Interview with Supipara Staff Oh, I forgot to said this beforehand but apparently each chapter will based on the meaning for each letter that formed Supipara. Since first letter mean Smile, then Sakura Chapter here was also called Smile Story here (It also stated at the end of the chapter). Of course Hotaru Chapter will be called Peace Story (Kaitsu said that it's ironic that the sadist Hotaru had the chapter called Peace Story here, although it will be quite interesting here). As for the heroine for both of Passion and Love part, obviously we don't know because Supipara was scrapped by minori after the failure here.

Another sudden release by JAST here I think, and now we'll had Flower - Spring Chapter for the translated yuri / shoujo aiVN. Good for anyone else who like it. As for the premise, it was tell the story of how our MC Suoh who is very shy decided to come to all girl scholl in the deep of the forest. The school apparently had some sort of friendship system called 'Amitie' and Suo got 2 'Amitie' for her school life. And also Suoh will face some mystery, although it's not as bloody as either Cartagra or Kara no Shoujo. For the seiyuu, we got Kaori Nazuka who played our MC Suoh, Kawashima Rino (Although she using her real name Mizusawa Kei here though), and Sakura Ayane for notable one. This is the first series of planned Flower tetralogy here and it's take at spring section. I think I'll just waiting for all series to be translated (It'll takr long time here), although I may will play this though. PS - About the Tweet which said 'very soon', maybe this time they managed to fulfill that. But if we talking about it in the past, it was some sort of joke that already becoming memetic here ie soon didn't mean it'll be released quickly or it could be in a long time before the release there.

Which route you started, A, B, C, or D? If A well it's the right order there according to GundamAce (And you should got some impression about a schoolboy who had lost his sister and his father rarely at home instead of mid story). But if you started from either C or D, well it could be quite confusing because it's supposed to played after finishing both A and B route according to the walkthrough there. But if you still confused and turn out didn't like it, guess you better give up on I/O there. Well, good luck on your playthrough for I//O there.

Well, I could try to be patient here. Although looking at their pattern for the announcement maybe I could hope this will be released in one year, if only that was my wishful thinking (Of course it depend on the speed of the translation and the work behind the engine though). At most I expect to see this in 2020, and I knew that it'll be long time here.

To respond Mkilbride, well it's quite complicated matter to be honest here. While you didn't get the feeling that the MC was doing serial killing, but if you looking objectively they definitely did that of course. To each of their own for how should be to react for both that short Nitroplus VN here I guess. About Kikokugai, actually I played it and like it. About revenge, well it could be one of motive for serial killing imo if we looking both at Conan and Kindaichi (Serial killing more common in Kindaichi by the way). Of course I agree that the victims in Kikokugai was Asshole Victims here and circumstance behind MC, although most people in-universe most likely didn't know about that though. Once again to each of their own here. For last word here, sorry if you dislike my statement earlier here.

Although I agree with your opinion here about JAST (Well, there's nothing interesting for their announcement), if I may give my opinion objectively here JAST was still using their usual old method while Mangagamer (And Sekai to some extend) far more aggressive to searching their new partner. While I don't say JAST method was bad, it's definitely out of time ie obsolete if they still using same business method from 2000's when they had much control in VN market. Although maybe it's their intention though for not licensing VN too much because I saw some post said that VN Translation was like more side business to JAST and main source of income would be J-List which selling stuff for otaku. Oh, and I also aware that back at 2008 JAST was a big player in VN localization, but then again at that time Mangagamer was just born and Hirameki goes down though. And one more thing, JAST was definitely taking their time too much for working at one VN. Oh, by the way for this year announcement I planned to pick Dal Segno, Hapymaher, Rance VI, Sorcery Joker, Saku Saku, Island, and Baldr Sky here if some of you curious what I want to pick for now (I also interested with Sona-Nyl here).

To celebrate the announcement from Mangagamer, how about I post some soundtrack here. The first OST would be Hapymaher opening. I knew that Clephas already posted this, but I also happened to like the song here. The second OST here would be the battle theme from Rance 6 'Battle 17 times'. If talking about serial killer MC, then Hanachirashu and Kikokugai (Get the remake version instead of original version if you want voice) will fulfill your wish (Although in Kikokugai the victims was villain though, but still). If you didn't like MC as the killer, then Kara no Shoujo duology should be good too (It involved serial killing and detective work). Hope the recommendations here help.
