  1. As for Katawa Shoujo, I remember that my roommate play this at around 2009 in that back then it's just a trial version of it. Obviously back then I didn't expect that there'll be full version, only to have 4chan manage to release the full version of it at January 4th of 2012 (I remember the date because that date was happen to be one of the important date for my family). Well Katawa Shoujo here is definitely not my starter VN (The title goes to Shuffle and Kira Kira), although I won't deny the fact that it's the first VN for a lot of people though along with one of the most popular VN on VNDB which really says a lot if we remember that this is just merely an OELVN (In fact had Katawa Shoujo is not OELVN I would add this on my list in regard of best rated translated VNs in 2012). PS - Oh yes Katawa Shoujo here is very popular, so much that JAST add this to their own storefront in which as far as I remember it's only for Japanese VNs (I may be remember it wrong though) and with this it might be the first free VN on JAST storefront there. The tweet for the proof below. By the way you can also download the artbook along with the soundtrack at JAST as well.
  2. Well no much discussion aside from someone who've been wary about this vs someone who've put too much hope on this. Anyway with the revelation of the progress, can I call the updates on Excel as 'Eustia was at 90% in programming with Licia's chapter was at 82% in programming' (Note that I know the estimation here is a lot off) from now on? Good luck with the project. PS - I'm not say that we can't put too much hope on this, but in this case I prefer to wait and see until we can see this released. Of course though I still hope that the translator managed to release this, no matter how long it will be.
  3. There's more than one way to make the VN has big size, such as the developer inserted a lot of high res CG into the files and Trinoline here did exactly that. It's not only minori who do that though, because we also have Marco as the short VN and yet it has quite a big size for it's length (At 7.66 GB) and the reason for that is because Marco has a lot of CG and video inside the game file. Another example is 3rdEye, in that they also shown a lot of CG and movement so much that it bloated their game files with their most recent release (Raillore) has 13.5 GB. Anyway as for the solution in regard of your lack of HDD, I guess you can delete some VN/game that you already cleared and didn't want to play it any longer. Although if you didn't want to delete it, perhaps you can just store the game somewhere or you can just keep the save file of those game. For interesting trivia in case you didn't know, both Mikage and Kagami Yuu (The writer of several Purple Software VNs) here did write several minori VNs in the past (Including ef and eden) although obviously he won't have influence in the graphic. As for minori's graphic, perhaps you can see their past work (Such as the aforementioned ef and eden) for comparison instead of Trinoline in that they like to inflate the boobs and the sex scenes, although at least they've been consistent to do the good job in regard of the lighting. I know that you probably won't change your mind in regard of the art, but at least I can say that minori's art is comparatively better in the past. Also there's one time that Purple Software do animated opening like minori, and said VN is Ashita no Kimi to Au Tame ni that coincidentally written by Kagami Yuu.
  4. Welcome to my first VNTS Review in 2022, and as for the title since we have Magia Record (It's spinoff anime of Madoka that was adapted from the mobile game) along with Dead Aegis I decided to parodied the former by changing 'Magia' into 'Aegis' so we have 'Aegis Record' as the title. As for this week, even though there's no release yet I can still say that this week is no less good compared to the last week, mainly thanks to both of Shiravune and Nekonyan did announce the exact release date for both of their VNs (Mashimaro and Hello Lady respectively). Other than the release announcements, we also have some updates with one of those is from JAST in which they also announced their new releases as well. Overall this week is an interesting one to a degree, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week as well. Since 2021 was already passed, it mean that age was not manage to release Total Eclipse as promised and therefore they need to revise the release year to be at 2022 later. Obviously it mean that there'll be more waiting for anyone else who've been looking forward to it, and I have no much to say other than good luck to age in regard of polishing the VN. As for newest JAST's release, it's Takahiro's (Majikoi writer for the reminder) newest work with the name 'Feast of Kurokami-sama' with the premise a mangaka (Doumaru) that was forced to hunt youkai by the titular Kurokami-sama, and said Kurokami herself is quite whimsical in which she can punish Doumaru with death if he do some mistakes. For more info, it's already ready for the release on Steam at 21st later with the English and Chinese languages are available. Other than the release date, it should be noted that Kurokami here is all age VN so don't expect the sex scenes, and in case you interested you can try the trial that has been available on Steam. As for fan translation update, for the first week 2022 here we have Harugi was at 45% edited, Onee-chan no Yuuwaku was at 90% translated and TLC-ed, Shin Koihime Musou was at 52% edited, Taimanin Kurenai was at 65% edited, Yoshitsune's route of Majikoi A-5 has 10 scripts worked on, Senmomo was at 23.67% edited with Chapter 2 was at 14.94% edited, Chaos Head Noah was at 20.92% TLC-ed, and both of Meiko's and Legend routes of Snow was already at above 30% translated (No idea whether the progress was share equally between two routes or one route has more progress compared to the other). Almost forgot to mention that Novectale decided to break the contract with Sekai in regard of Narkarma, and then they decided to develop the VN by themselves after they face several issues in the past. Good luck to Novectale there, and at least Sekai's backlog was decreased again even though it's not because of the release. For Hello Lady exact release date, according to Steam store it'll be at 21st later. While Nekonyan here didn't directly announce the release date for 18+ version yet, it should goes without saying that Nekonyan will release that version alongside Steam version if we remember their usual pattern. Anyway in case you've been waiting for Hello Lady release, you can note the date. For the aforementioned Mashimaro (Full title Ouchi ni Kaeru made ga Mashimaro Desu with the translated title 'Marshmallow All the Ways Home'), it's Marmalade VN that was released at 2017 between Primal Heart 2 and Study Steady. In Mashimaro here we'll have the MC who basically kicked out from the house and he only manage to get a place to sleep thanks to a patisserie's owner (Kanon), and in order to repay the kindness the MC decided to do his best to reinvigorate Kanon's patisserie that has been declining thanks to the famous competitor nearby. Oh yes, as for the release date it'll be at 7th later and as usual it's only available at Johren later. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  5. I suppose we can say that 2021 here is the continuation of 2020 in that we're still in the middle of the pandemic, although there's a lot of vaccination right now. Of course, it won't stop the releases of the translated VNs, and it's nice to see that JAST is very aggressive regarding the release in 2021, so much so that it can rival both Mangagamer and Sekai for yearly release numbers. With that done, let's see which translated VNs I chose as the best-rated ones in 2021. I'm sorry if some of your favorites are not here, so you may disagree with my choice because I may be subjective. Lastly, the scores and rank can fluctuate in the future, and for the reminder, the scores are the VNDB score for each VN as of today (June 2nd, 2025). 10. Ren'ai Karichaimashita (VNDB 7.26) If you look at Sankaku Ren'ai (developed by the same company and localized by Nekonyan), you know what to expect from Karichaimashita here. As a reminder, it's the comedy with a love triangle that's not as dramatic as White Album 2 (WA2), and we'll have it here. Karichaimashita is about our MC, Yuki, who keeps thinking about how money is the only thing that makes his little sister happy, thanks to his family's unique circumstances that forced Yuki to be the family's breadwinner. So, of course, he'll keep working for money if his sister can be happy, so much so that he calls himself having a Sister Complex. One day, Yuki saw a job advertisement for a company that allows clients to have fake relationships; the job is quite common in Japan, as shown in the infamous Kanojo Okarishimasu manga. While the job is highly suspicious, Yuki decides to apply anyway since it offers the high pay he desperately needs. Little did he know back then that he would keep involved with the clients, which in turn allowed him to start a relationship with one of the clients, and here we're going to have four and a half routes because, while technically there are five heroines, two of those heroines are the twin who's sharing Yuki. 9. Primal x Hearts (VNDB 7.36) Shiravune released several interesting visual novels in 2021, one of those VNs being Marmalade's Primal Hearts series. While it's inevitable because we also have Study Steady (another Marmalade VN) localized by them, it's still nice to see they license the Primal Hearts series. The series features a school with two student councils and an even number of students, thus ensuring a deadlock situation every time a vote happens. The MC's role in the series is as the hope to break the deadlock because he's the 777th student, hence his Three Sevens nickname. So, both councils inevitably approach the MC to persuade him to join one of the councils to have whichever side has the MC win the future votes. While I understand that the second Primal Hearts here has received some improvements, I list the first one here because the Primal Hearts series reminds me of the Lunar series, with both Lunar and Primal Hearts developers improving their second game. So the first Primal Hearts here should make a nice parallel with the first Lunar, and I know it's quite a stretch to compare Lunar and Primal Hearts, seeing that both series have a lot of differences anyway. 8. Sugar * Style (VNDB 7.40) Compared to other translated Smee VNs (HaremKingdom and Making Lovers) with unique MCs, Sugar Style here didn't have the MC become a king in a different world or already be working. But instead, our MC has just started his college life. For the premise, we have Kazuki (MC's default name), whose parents fled and left him with debts while also being deceived by an evil woman. So, after a string of bad luck, he turns the page by entering the college with the dormitory, which his cousin manages, only to find out that the dormitory is for females. Then Kazuki accidentally stumbles into a perverted situation. Thus, his relationship with the female residents, the heroines, has a rocky start. However, as per Smee VN, Kazuki will gradually get closer to the heroines. He'll then enter a relationship with one of the four heroines in the original version (which Nekonyan localized) and with the two additional heroines, including Kazuki's cousin, in the untranslated console version (that does not have sex scenes). Like other Smee VNs, besides obviously still having the usual comedy, it also has a mini fan disc, but we don't know if Nekonyan will localize it. 7. Dohna Dohna -Issho ni Warui Koto o Shiyou- (VNDB 7.89) After Shiravune brought the Primal Hearts series in July 2021, we have Dohna Dohna as another exciting license released by them in October 2021. Dohna Dohna, as in the latest gameplay VN by Alicesoft, which, as we know, is attempting to localize Evenicle 2 on their own (so perhaps Shiravune will localize Evenicle 2 later), as well as having a partnership with Mangagamer to localize the Rance series. For Dohna Dohna itself, while the graphic style resembles Persona 5, the story is more similar to FF7. In the story of Dohna Dohna, it has an outlaw group that lives in a city tightly controlled by a massive corporation. The group does everything it can, including robbing the facility related to the corporation, to fight them. While we usually think that the group is in the right, in this case, we can't exactly say that the group is better than the corporation morally because we have the group kidnapping several women to sell them as prostitutes to get money. Finally, while the graphics are quite colorful, it should go without saying that the content is quite dark, especially with the already mentioned prostitute and some disturbing sex scenes in the Bad Endings. 6. Rance Quest (VNDB 7.96) After some time of waiting (11 years for the ones who play fan translations of Sengoku Rance and 17 months for the ones who play the Mangagamer version), we finally have Rance Quest released in English. As for the story, after Rance encountered a problem in Sengoku Rance, he decided to find a way to resolve his situation. Of course, Rance being Rance, his inability to control his libido caused trouble, and he's been struck with a curse by a woman with whom he had sex. Said curse renders any woman who has sex with Rance weakened, as well as making Rance not able to have sex with weaker women, so there will be many restrictions on Rance's having sex. Facing the situation, rather than trying to find a way to remove the curse quickly, Rance decided to enjoy his life as much as possible. Of course, he'll do so by searching for many strong women so that he can have sex with them. Rance Quest is the eighth part of the Rance series that Alicesoft developed, and it's the breather episode with Rance doing a lot of quests that resemble the old RPG (hence the word "Quest"). For the video, because Rance Quest didn't have the opening, I'll use its PV video. 5. Musicus (VNDB 8.01) When Overdrive worked on this VN, which was planned as their last VN before they went with the Virtual Youtuber stuff, they found themselves without enough funds to develop the VN. So, they did the crowdfund to get the funds, and as a result, they managed to gather 130 million yen. According to what I've seen, Musicus has been well received, with some calling it a thought-provoking VN if we borrow the late Conjueror's word, though whether that's true is up to each person. But I know for sure that in Musicus, we have Kei, who is currently in a dilemma regarding his future after encountering the difficulties of becoming a doctor like his father. Of course, as per Overdrive MC, Kei finds himself drawn to the music after watching a concert. From there, he does his best to perform in a band after being suggested by a band leader. Unlike the writer's previous Overdrive VN, which also focused on the music band (Kira Kira), in this one, the writer shows what would happen if one made a band for a living, which turned out to be quite an ordeal. Since Musicus didn't have an opening, I'll use the ending credit of Yako's route for the video below. 4. Kin'iro Loveriche (VNDB 8.18) Kini'iro Loveriche, aka Kinkoi, is the first translated Saga Planet VN that Nekonyan localized. With that, we finally have Saga Planet VN translated, which defies people's belief that it's impossible to see it happen, especially with several failed Saga Planet VN translation projects we've had in the past (Hanasaki Work Spring, Hatsuyuki Sakura). As for Kinkoi, the premise here is that Ouro carried Princess Sylvie (her full name is too long) in Princess Carry (how appropriate), which obviously would alert her bodyguards because it made Ouro look like he had kidnapped the princess. Since Ouro himself caught Sylvie's attention, she had arranged for Ouro to attend the school with her. While the premise suggested that this is just a comedy VN with rich people as heroines, it turned out that there's more to Kinkoi than meets the eye, particularly regarding the story of one of the heroines. The VN also has a fan disc, Golden Time, with two routes for the side heroines, after stories for each heroine (including the side one), and an alternate ending for a specific heroine. Just in case you're asking if the fan disc will be licensed or not, Nekonyan has already licensed it, and so far, the translation work on it is going pretty well. 3. 9 -Nine- Yukiiro Yukihana Yukinoato (VNDB 8.58) I said the serial release is not ideal for releasing a VN. But after I read one of the reviews about Nine, perhaps going serial here is the best way to make the writer, Kazuki Fumi, build up the story arc because not all writers can make the complete story arc from the beginning. That said, I'm still not a fan of serial release. In Episode 4, after Kakeru gets close to the other heroines, Miyako, Sora, and Haruka, in the previous episodes while investigating the incidents in the city, this time Kakeru gets close to Noa. More importantly, Kakeru finally confronts a person who's been causing the incidents after getting some help from an unexpected fellow. While there's Shinshou, aka New Episode, which is said to be the sequel to Episode 4, the New Episode is more like the fan disc than the sequel. The New Episode contents are the after stories for the heroines with some wrap-up for the story, so Episode 4 here is the grand finale for the Nine series itself. Izumi Tsubasu is still in charge of the design, so we still have her beautiful drawings. Sekai did well on this by releasing four episodes of Nine within two years, contrasting with when they needed three years to release two VN of the ReLord trilogy. 2. Soukou Akki Muramasa (VNDB 8.96) We knew JAST got the license for Muramasa back in 2012 when one of TLWiki's users, Makoto, became the translator for JAST. JAST being JAST, we didn't see them give us many updates on Muramasa, so people decided to give up on it. At least until July 2021, when JAST abruptly announced that Muramasa would be released shortly, and with their new pace, JAST did manage to release it in August 2021. For the premise, we have an alternative world where Japan (ruled by the Rokuhara shogunate with an iron fist and has unique warriors called musha) has a roaming monster that terrorizes the country by killing many people. Enter Kageaki with his eyes set on it, and then he hunts it down. While usually, we would say that Kageaki is the hero, one should remember the arc word, "This is not a story of the heroes." So, of course, Kageaki will make many horrible decisions to achieve the goal. Since the writer, Narahara Ittetsu, did write both Hanachirasu and Muramasa, with the former having a lot of deaths, sure enough, Muramasa has tons of people dying left and right. Besides that, Narahara here also provides some writing that can be thought-provoking. 1. White Album 2 (VNDB 9.00) I still remember in 2011 when my roommate listened to the WA2 Closing Chapter opening, and obviously, there was no translated version of it back then. The Todokanai group worked hard to translate WA2, but it took years to finish because of its length. After several years of work, they finally released the full translation patch on December 22nd of last year (2021), making it a nice early Christmas gift from them. For the premise, we have Haruki, who is searching for additional light music club members to perform at the school festival. He manages to get two girls, Setsuna and Kazusa, to participate. Haruki had no idea at the time that he would become embroiled in a dramatic love triangle that would last into his adulthood, and it would be pretty messy, given that each involved person had numerous flaws. WA2 here is Maruto Fumiaki's last VN before he moves on to write the light novel (Saekano). As I said, Maruto wrote each character like in Damekoi, but he focused more on two heroines (Setsuna and Kazusa) instead of just one like in Damekoi (Mitoko). As for the video, I used the Closing Chapter opening because the VNDB page of this used to be the page for the Closing Chapter VNDB entry. That's all for my list of translated visual novels released in 2021. To conclude, 2021 is pretty much an exciting year, with two of the most well-received VNs (Muramasa and WA2) getting translated so we can finally play them in English. Lastly, with JAST's new strategy, which is to release the download version first to quicken the releases, I look forward to what they can do in 2022. Of course, I also look forward to what the other companies can do in 2022, especially regarding Nekonyan and Shiravune, seeing both of them manage to release several interesting visual novels in 2021. PS - For the title, I combined the words "winter" (the WA2 season motif) and "musha" (the unique warrior in Muramasa), resulting in "The Winter Musha," which is similar to one of Captain America's films (The Winter Soldier).
  6. Well there's quite a number of it. For my recommendation here, I would suggest you to try Utawarerumono (And it's sequels), Seabed (GL VN), Island, and Himawari. If you want some more, there're Ever17 and Root Double. I hope my recommendations here will be helpful to you.
  7. It's been 11 hours since the new year in my country, but better late than never. Anyway happy new year 2022 and here's hoping that the situation around us is keep improving, especially in regard of pandemic and of course we hopefully have a better year here.
  8. I agree most people wouldn't care much about that VN (Lovekami), and I did say several times that it's most likely Pulltop's answer to Sakura series so I'm pretty much whatever in regard of Pulltop did re-release it with sex scenes in Japan. It's still interesting though that they released it overseas first. As for Taisho Alice, well there's several threads on Fuwanovel if you want to start some research on that matter. While I did say that it's possible for the translator to change the name of Alice (I suggested Alicia while Rooke suggested Alyce), turned out that Verdelish goes with 'Alice and Arisu'. The Japanese VA clearly say 'hiragana Alice and katakana Alice' in which it's obviously would make the attempt to directly translate it ended up awkward, so Verdelish here chose to use the Japanese spelling of Alice to localize the second Alice. For Sharin, turned out they manage to spiraling the problem that starting from a single bug in the feature and now they decided to port it to the new engine, which to say is quite entertaining especially with the solution to the problem is quite simple (Just release it without the feature that cause the bug (ie the ability to change the screen between 4:3 and 16:9)). Then again, Frontwing is really responsible to fulfill their Kickstarter promise so much that they decided to delay five years old project to make sure that the release would be free of bug even though they can just release it immediately and provided the bugfix later. Well let's see if Frontwing will keep entertaining us or finally manage to get it done within six months later.
  9. Late to comment here. As for the releases, most of those are what I say redundant in that it's in regard of a VN that already has the translation was re-release by other party. For the topic, there are several other example that can be fit to the title, such as Pulltop's Lovekami series that were available for overseas first (Of course they'd re-release those with sex scenes in Japan) and Taisho Alice in which it's very necessary to have re-release because the initial version has several problem with the famous katakana Alice is the least problem to me. Sharin can also counted as it has interesting circumstance, because it already has translation available and Frontwing keep messed up with the build for the official release until now. Also in regard of Laplacian, their situation is almost like Purple Software in which they trusted multiple publishers, although the difference is that Purple Software still didn't attempt to localize the title by themselves yet along with them still can sell Chrono Clock with Sekai. That's all for what I can comment in regard of this video. PS - As for Dracu Riot, it also tied with Decay as VNDB mod so he has some influence to mark the leaked patch as partial patch (That he immediately deleted only that he has been too late for it), at least until an user challenge the marking because it can be say that Decay here has personal reason for the marking. Well all of those are in the past, and Sekai did pick this first before moved out to Nekonyan after several months (ie 18 months) was put it on the ice.
  10. Sorry for the very belated response here. As for the answer of your question, well you can just directly play it in case you still didn't do that yet because there'll be a recap of the first game event in Blue Reflection 2. As for me, I did try it a bit only to find out that my laptop can't handle this smoothly, and I can say that the battle system along with the levelling system between this and the first game here are very different. Have fun playing Blue Reflection 2 there.
  11. Actually the anime ending here would be in line to what Frontwing did when it come to their attempt to connecting Kajitsu with the rest of the sequels (That I call as the fandiscs of Kajitsu lol) that Frontwing did force when they developed the VNs, although obviously they need to rushed the first season because they only have 13 episodes so much that there's no enough episodes to tell the stories for each heroines. So yeah while the anime here is indeed cover the whole story of the trilogy, it's still not cover the heroines original ending so if you want to see more of the heroines you can play Kajitsu VN version although beware that the VN itself is quite long. Also I don't mind that mod Dergonu didn't treated Phantom Trigger as the sequel, seeing that it's pretty obvious that Phantom Trigger is Frontwing's attempt to milk more Grisaia in which it's not appropriate seeing that the series is complete enough without it. tldr - The anime did cover whole story, but if you want to see more of the heroines then you can read the VN version of Kajitsu.
  12. Well who knows in regard of Comyu there, although if anything else at least one should have easier time to understand Hello Lady if the problem in Comyu is indeed because of Ixrec because Hello Lady here has different translator, and yes Hello Lady will be released by Nekonyan at January later if all goes well. For the artifacts, perhaps Kazuki Fumi here may be inspired by And seeing that the writer here is quite experienced with writing chuunige, and two of their (Yes there's two writer that write And here) other works are the aforementioned Comyu and Hello Lady. The writer also continuing the usage of literature theme naming in Hello Lady, although as for what's the literature I'll leave it to you to find out. If anything else, at least you can play Hello Lady Steam version later if you prefer to read it without the sex scenes.
  13. Welcome to Fuwanovel and sorry for the belated greeting. No much to say here other than good luck on your Japanese study and I hope that you'll have fun here.
  14. Merry Christmas, and as for this week VNTS Review I decided to parodied the old VN from Leaf VN with the name 'December When There is No Angel' because we have a certain well known VN from the same company by changing 'December' into 'Christmas', so we have 'Christmas When There is No Angel' as this week VNTS Review title. Anyway welcome to this week VNTS Review in which it's my last VNTS Review for 2021, and as for this week I can say that this is quite an interesting one thanks to a certain release. Of course though we also have several good news in that we finally have several VNs finally have the Steam store which is really says a lot considering that recently it's been harder to include the VNs into Steam. Overall this week is better than the last week if I may say something even with less number of releases, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. There's a new company called Rosetta with them about to released their debut VN called Secret Kiss is Sweet and Tender (The English name), and from what I can see it's the GL VN with the premise of a love story between the teacher and the student. Other than that, I know that it'll be has sex scenes seeing that the VAs use their alias instead of the true name and that it'll be released in both of Steam (ie PC) and Switch at February 17th later with Japanese and English language support. Other than the new GL VN, we have Laplacian unfortunately need to delay their Aojashin release with the new estimation that they'll release it at either January or February later, and if anything else at least the one who work on uncensored patch can have more time to uncensoring Aojashin later. Speaking of delay, turned out that we also have Tokyo Onmyouji release was delayed in that the new release month will be at February later. There's a surprising news in regard of Shiravune's new VN, and it's not because the VN in question is Ryuusei World Actor: Bade and Dagger in which it's the fandisc/sequel of Ryuusei (In fact I did say that it's up to them to localized this). The surprising news is somehow Valve decided to accept this, which to say quite an anomaly seeing that they did reject the prequel multiple times. As for the premise, we have Ruka continuing his case from the first game with him will have relation with two more heroines, although if I may say something it's just like Akagoei 2 or Meikyuu in which the second part of the trilogy will be short and has fandisc contents, and yes I assume that Kinugasa will make Ryuusei as trilogy here. Anyway you can play the trial that has been released in the Steam store of Badge and Dagger if you want to see the continuation of first VN. While Shiravune worked hard on Dokyuusei remake so much they're already done with the translation, unfortunately it's still not enough to have it released at this year so Shiravune here did need to delay the release in order to finishing up the remaining work on Doukyuusei remake. We also have two more VNs manage to have Steam store, and those two VNs are Hollow (Steam store page) and Hello Lady (Steam store page) in which Nekonyan need to wait until Valve did finally accept Hello Lady in Steam. As for Hollow, Ninetails already announced the release month for the steam version and it'll be at January later, so the Steam user who want to play more Venus Blood didn't need to wait for long here. We also have several updates from Mangagamer, in which we have both of Erovoice and Uchi no Imouto was in testing so it should be obvious that Mangagamer will release those two VNs first, Raillore was at 64% translated along with 60% edited, and Rance X was at 39% translated. From fan translation, we have Harugi was at 43% edited, Loverable was at 99.27% translated along with 99.1% edited (Which mean that it's really close to finished the translation), Mahoyo was at 85.67% TLC-ed along with have some progress on the editing at 70.75% edited, Gore Screaming Show was past a quarter (27.28%) translated. We also have Tsukihime Remake Part 1 (There's two parts of the remake planned, and right now Type Moon only released one of the two parts of it) translation team released the patch that cover first five days of Arcueid's route and currently the team did worked on day 6 and 7, so if you have Switch and already thinking of playing Tsukihime Remake you can download the patch from the link here. I can only say that good for them they finally have some result on the translation work, so good luck on the translation effort for Tsukihime Remake Part 1. Last but definitely not the least is a certain well known VN from Leaf finally has the full translation patch of it released, and it's obviously White Album 2 (WA2) with said patch has been released back at 22nd. For a bit of history, Leaf did release this in two parts, Introduction and Closing, although structure wise it's like Muv Luv so we'll have three parts of the story with Leaf put Closing and Coda (The latter is the last part of WA2) in one package. For the premise we have Haruki who get close to the popular girl Setsuna and the loner girl Kazusa, although unfortunately three of them does a lot of mistakes in regard of the romance that ultimately cost them everything, and said mistakes keep haunting them even as the three of them enter the adulthood. Go get WA2 if you're understandably been waiting for this because it's been one of the very well received VNs (The link to the patch), and have fun. Lastly since I mention Muv Luv, I'll just say that the score differences between two parts of WA2 is not as extreme as the original Muv Luv and Alternative. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and happy New Year 2022. See you next year. PS - I know that Shiravune did release the demon lord nukige back at 24th in which it would make a nice Christmas gift from them, although to me it's been overshadowed by both of Dokyuusei Remake update and Badge and Dagger here. Well go get the nukige if you interested with it and have fun.
  15. Late to the party here, and I agree with Zalor seeing that you manage to catch up with the present seeing that back when you created this I admit that it's not quite possible to do it, and here we are in the present and about to do more in the future. Anyway let's see what I can comment in regard of November 2021 releases here. Uchi wa Mou - A VN about creating an eroge, and no much to say other than it has nice graphic. Would like to see Shiravune somehow localized this if possible, which should be possible seeing that Sonora (This VN developer) and MintCUBE (Ninki Seiyuu developer) here is from the same parent company. NinNinDays 2 - Overall I can say that querate here can consistently released a series of VNs with good looking girls in Japanese and English language, although whether each VNs has good story or not it's up to each of their own (If anything else at least I can say that it's not as well received as two of the VNs that were translated at this year (Muramasa and White Album 2)). Sousaku Kanojo - The characters were designed by Sharin and G-Senjou artist so the characters may remind you of those two VNs (That said though the design here has some difference) and that while the story is like Uchi wa Mou in that it involved creating something (In this case it's light novel), turned out that the story here has some twist that differentiate it. As for the twist, well let's just say that it remind some people on a certain anime that has music as the focus of the story along with some focus on a single heroine. Seeing that it's been well known, perhaps we may have this localized in the future. That's all for what I can write in regard of November 2021 releases, and see you at the next blogpost.
  16. I thought that I still can buy it from Fakku, only to be turned out that I can't do that. So my bad for misunderstood that Fakku still sell it. In this case, the only way to get Newton VN legally is buying it in Japan by using DMM, while for English version unfortunately there's no way to get it other than by using a certain way. So yeah we need to wait until Laplacian sort the license problem of Newton VN English version (Either by asking another publisher to hold the license of it or do it by themselves) if you want to get Newton VN legally.
  17. Well Newton VN wasn't picked up by any company, and as for the news in regard of Sol Press there's one. Namely that they've been avoiding paid the tax so that the company has been suspended to do the business (The Reddit page for more information). As for the remaining licenses, there's a rumor that it'll be sold to pay off the creditors although obviously it's still unknown whether the rumor is true or not. That said though, there's Fakku store if one want to buy Newton VN.
  18. I see that Fabiniku and Kenja no Deshi (The gender bender anime) has anime, and what I can say that I favor the latter because it really focused on said MC who turned into female while Fabiniku still has some focus on the male handsome best friend who didn't change into female. As for the rest, let me try to comment some below. There's Akebi as well, and from what I can see in the manga at least it'll be focused on several first arcs along with the good animation that should be the norm seeing that the author did really draw a lot of wordless picture that show off on how much Akebi did movement. Sono Bisque is an interesting title in that it's the love that was started from the gal girl asking her male classmate to make some cosplay for her and that said male classmate has trauma that he was mocked by his female friend because his passion with Japanese doll, and at least the mangaka did directly say that the main focus is the male classmate unlike Runway de Waratte in that the author did bait us with female MC only to reveal that the male student who aspired to be the designer is the real MC. In regard of Realist Kingdom, well let's see on how far JC Staffs will adapt the story seeing that there's still more after the aftermath of the war at the end of first season. I only know that Leadale has several translated chapters in regard of the manga, so perhaps I'll check that out if possible seeing that it's still quite rare to see isekai female MC. Lastly there's also two golf anime with female MC (Sorairo Utilities and Birdie Wings) and the CUE anime in that it resemble Sore ga Seiyuu (And Ninki Seiyuu), and Shikakumon in which the MC was enjoying the fight against strong enemies a bit too much. Of course there's also Delicious Party Precure (DPPC) in which I'll keep following it after TRPC ended, and the well known Demon Slayer season 2 in which I'll leave it to my brother to watch it. That's all for what I can talk in regard of Winter 2022 anime, and by the way I still wait for Machikado Mazoku season 2 that will be aired at April 2022 later. PS - I know that there's also Princess Connect ReDive season 2, and after seeing some comment in regard of the first season of it perhaps I'll check that out as well if possible.
  19. Or actually they can do what White Album 2 translation team did in that they add PS3 CG into the patch, although perhaps it would be too much bothersome for Mangagamer there (That, and probably Valve would likely has several problem if Mangagamer did attempt to release PSP port into Steam thanks to the premise despite the absence of sex scenes).
  20. Well a certain people would surely malding about the mosaic, although obviously the joke won't work if the mosaic was removed in that CG lol (If someone interested to officially localized & here). Anyway weird title aside I like the opening song (The Moon is Not Alone) that was sang by Kanako Itou there. Also there're several nice CG from Damekoi PSP, although obviously Mangagamer can't easily add the CG into their version for legal reason (And it would delay the release a bit further). As for the title (It's 'What are you playing' for the info), well I tried several recently released gameplay VNs (Dohna Dohna, Yamizome Revenger, and Hollow) with I'm planned to make the unique Talent as the main source of income in Dohna Dohna (The gameplay is sell the Talent in that it's the nice word for prostitute). I need to relearn Hollow's gameplay though because it's been a while since I play Frontier and it has some difference when it come to deploy the army. It also has some difference when it come to corrupt/approaching the heroines in which instead of waiting several turned now you can only do it after the current campaign ended, so no corrupts the heroines before attacking the first territory in each campaign.
  21. According to the tweet below, it already fully translated although unfortunately it didn't make 2021 release so they need to delay the release. So yeah no 2021 release here. PS - Good luck to Shiravune in regard of polishing Doukyuusei there.
  22. Considering that the initial translator (Conjueror) was passed away and the VN has big script size, I'm quite surprised that they manage to release this in reasonable time in that they managed to fulfill the promise seeing that they have a lot of reasons to delay it. Granted that it's still quite a while for anyone else who've been waiting for it seeing that the promise was to release it at November 2020, but with a lot of circumstances I think that it's quite fast for Sekai here. I know that it has a lot of bugs and (So-called) mistranslation, but then again seeing that Kirikoi also has bugs in the initial release it's still within reason. Anyway you can play Sekai version of Rewrite if you've been waiting for this and have fun. PS - In hindsight perhaps I should praise Frontwing to be extra careful to fix the bug in Sharin, although after seeing G-Senjou and this it would be more preferable if Frontwing just release the current version of Sharin and release the bugfix later because if anything else at least people who've been waiting for Sharin can play it sooner instead of waiting for Frontwing to finally fix the bugs.
  23. Animal Trail - Whirlpool newest short VN release, and this time we have animal girl magical girl idol themed heroines instead of limiting it to cat or dragon girl. The MC here is the producer of the idol group that he was a fan of it, and in this VN we only have two heroines despite that the idol group has four members (Seeing that it's quite short Whirlpool may already planned the sequel with the focus on the rest of the heroines). As expected Sekai did license this and currently they've been waiting the build from Whirlpool before finally ready to work on the engine. Monkeys - The VN with the trap MC that was partially voiced, and the newest Harukaze release. Like Marco when Harukaze did a lot of work in regard of presentation, in Monkeys we have Harukaze work a lot on that matter as well with some of the CG did resemble manga panels. The writer of Harukaze here also wrote Noraneko duology as well, so safe to say there'll be a lot of comedic writing. Harukaze did plan to localize this, although it's still unknown whether they'll license it alone or asking another party to do it (They may ask Shiravune to localize this seeing that they've been working together to localized Marco). Seeing that Monkeys has sex scenes, I really hope that Harukaze didn't censor the overseas release (Either by cut the sex scenes or asking the publisher to not translated the sex scenes) like back at Noraneko. That's all for what I can write in regard of October 2021 releases.
  24. Welcome to Fuwanovel and you can always start read the VN whenever you want. Feel free to ask for more recommendations if you want it, and I hope that you'll have fun here.
  25. Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For this week title since we have Drapri 2 release along with three shrine maiden VNs from Shiravune, I decided to combined the English title of Drapri 2 (Slobbish Dragon Princess 2) with Japanese word for shrine maiden (Miko), so we have 'Slobbish Dragon Miko' as this week review title. As for this week while normally it should be interesting that we finally have Rewrite+ despite the bug, I just think that it's a redundant release seeing that we already have this translated since way back at 2013 despite Ixrec's infamy of (So-called) inaccurate translation. Other than a redundant big release here, we also have Valve unfortunately did reject Amatsutsumi's build along with several release announcements and releases. Overall I feel that this week is an average one despite the number of the release, and let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Valve did reject Amatsutsumi's build, in which it forced Sekai to search another platform to sell the VN. What I can say is that it definitely quite an annoyance because it mean that Valve being random with their rejection here, although if one want to be fair compared to Chrono Clock Amatsutsumi here has almost twice of the sex scenes so it would be harder for Sekai to reasonably cut the sex scenes. In any case I hope that Sekai can smoothly release it on any other platform beside Steam in the near future. As for Rewrite+, while I know that the ending has some difference in the end most of those are still the same (Especially in regard of the story) so perhaps it might be not quite worth to get in case you want to replay it again, although if you want to get Sekai version then go ahead and beware that there's numerous bugs in there. Sekai also released Drapri 2 at the same date as Rewrite+ release, and no much to say other than our lazy MC suddenly got two more dragon girls to contend. If anything else at least the outfit are quite sexy, so go get Drapri 2 if you want to see some cute dragon girls and have fun. Finally Mangagamer announce their next release, and it's Genesis (Trinoline FD for the reminder) in that they'll release it at next year (January 20th). Speaking of next year release, we also have JAST reveal that they indeed licensed Dead Aegis and that they'll release it at January 7th later. There's also a bonus if you preorder it, in that there's a prequel called Dead Aegis Gaiden that JAST released at the same time they announced the release date of the VN. As for Dead End Aegis itself, I'll tell more at the release time later. We also have Ninetails successfully Kickstarted all of Frontier fandiscs, and the gathered fund here was almost 4 million yen (ie 3,977,526 yen). Shravune did release three gameplay VN that have miko, and what I can say is that I wonder whether they'll release Natsu Kagura or not. Well you can try to play the gameplay VNs in question if you interested with more Debonosu's works, and have fun. From fan translation, we have Eustia was at 94.10% TLC-ed with Licia's chapter was at 68.63% TLC-ed, Harugi was at 42% edited, Senmomo was at 22.84% edited with side stories has signiifcant work at 17.43% edited, 51 out of 138 script files of Nagomibako was edited, and Taimanin Kurenai was at 60% edited. We also finally have an update from Amagami, in which they already finished with synching the text and right now they created the patch while undergoing the test, which mean that it's about time to finally have Amagami translation patch to be released. Lastly we have White Album 2 translation team already finished everything and preparing the patch, and right now the patch check is already done. If anything else, we may have this released before the Christmas which is more than likely as of now. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS Review, and see you next week. PS - Forgot to mention that we have Sukiuso was finally fully translated, and as for the next plan the team will began tackling the TLC before going to do the editing works and QA stuffs.
