Oh my god, these are amazing. I think we can already see the winner though, 11 is just way too good.

Pretty much every cheap happy end ever. The worst ones are the ones that come absolutely out of nowhere after the credits just to "make up" for the sad ending before the credits, effectively ruining everything the ending before it had going for it with some bad ass-pull. To name specific endings I disliked (and those aren't necessarily related to what I said above, just to avoid spoilers), it'd be Atori's ending in RuiTomo for not fitting the atmosphere of the route, Grisaia no Rakuen's ending just being cheap in general, MLA's ending for similar reasons (although I admittedly disliked the last act even more than the actual ending), or the dumb ending to the true route in HoshiMemo. Also, all the hate for the bad ends in this thread hurts. Especially for the ones in Kara no Shoujo... come on, those are one of the most well realised bad endings in any VN, how can you hate on them. ;_; There are some bad ends that are honestly even better than the true one, Amane's bad end being one of the examples. Or Makina's. Or the normal ending to After Story and Refrain... yeah I'm a monster.

Ah, now I remember that it was the Perfect edition that doesn't have the VA again. Yeah, really Perfect, KEY. .-. I guess I might just as well go hunting for the PSP release.

I was planning to read this for ages, but the different releases kind of confused me. What's the best version to get? I don't care for happy endings or fluff h-scenes.

Get ready for some a lot of blood. Kozue's chapter - An Illness that ends in slaughter Whev! That was... that was amazing. I had the most hopes in Kozue's route before I started these, since her character allowed for most madness (and because I have a serious weakness for cute scary murderous things don't judge me ), but I was afraid most of those would be just fanservice stuff... but damn, I have to say that this did exactly what I hoped it would, and I absolutely loved it. Also a piece of trivia - I didn't include it in the summary, but Suwa makes an off-hand remark about the school actually belonging to Nozomi (and that religious cult), which is how they explain all the Gigalomaniacs in one place. They didn't flock together, they were gathered. A hint towards that is also in Ayase's route, where it is briefly mentioned that she was sent to this school after getting out of the hospital. Also, just one more route to go, Rimi's!

Just finished Hataraku Maou-sama. It was very enjoyable overall; nice art, entertaining story, likeable characters, fun OST... if only it wasn't for that LN-adaptation syndrome. Also screw that main pairing, Chii-chan best girl.

I was about to get interested, but that SubaHibi box!!! How much is that? What is in it? ...what have you done, I needed to save money for the march of death too many games. EDIT: I'll have to hold back in the end, but damn that got me too excited. :x

Jumping onto that Chihayafuru train in hopes of learning some japanese sayings and idioms. Who am I kidding, as if I'll pay attention to that.

Most of my VNs come from PSN and PS+ (digital copies, obviously), though I did buy some physical ones too when I was in Japan. Haven't really bought any physical VNs online yet, though I did buy a couple of Japanese games this way (on playasia).

They refer to it as something like the 'Humanity livestock' plan, or something along those words. Hatano ponders the possibility that the entire humanity is already being controlled by them without even knowing, which would make the plan perfect - but he doesn't get a clear reply to that.

Still working on C;H, damn I'm slow. D: Just got Kozue's, Rimi's and the bad and true end left now, though.

Not sure if I told this story somewhere else before, but there's one more embarrassing VN-related moment I had. Japanese is one of my majors on my uni, and even though most of the students are relatively normal, there are a few people with the 'dangerous' interests, me included. So, in celebration of the freshmen getting in, we and our wonderful senpais decided to throw a party for them in a pub (we just needed an excuse to throw a party). I'm usually too much of a hikikomori to attend this kind of stuff, but since I've just came back from Japan and had some goods to deliver to one of the senpai, I didn't really have much choice this time around. So I get there, dragging my room mate along, and deliver the stuff (was mostly LNs and some Touhou merch). We sat a bit further from the biggest group, one of the first-years who came late joining us. Everything was fine up until that point, before the guy I gave stuff to decided to show the first-year some VNs, since we were talking about them already anyway. So in the pub, he takes out his laptop and loads up an eroge. ...yes, an eroge. So like a true senpai in the weaboo major, he starts loading up some h-scenes for some laughs. We go t some laughs, and somehow no one really noticed yet, but then the discussion went into the weirder directions, and the next moment I knew, stuff like euphoria and Dustmania Grotesque were open on vndb, with the NSFW filter turned off, of course. That was also exactly the moment when a girl walked by, and when she finally made it to that large group where everyone else was, we could just hear her "They're looking at some disgusting porn over there!" followed with quite some disgusted looks. No one at our table really gave a shit, but we probably managed to single-handedly destroy the image of the entire Japanese department before the first-years even had a chance to take their first class and get an impression of their own.

Wait, the protagonist actually stops being incredibly dull? I might have to pick that VN back up.

Whev, speaking of bad ends... Sena's chapter - Deus ex machina Sorry for the lack of pictures this time around, there wasn't really anything else that'd make for interesting screens! This ending was very different than I expected it to be, though that seems to be the pattern with every single one so far. I have no idea what the deal with the baby was, but holy shit, Suwa is an ass. We also finally got some more info about the 300 - and the implications about Momose at the end pretty much change the meaning of the scenes with her and Ban completely. Poor Ban. ;_; Pretty good ending all in all. Kind of makes me hope that Chaos;Child dives into this setting completely.

I don't have a 3DS, so Shinovi Versus is the only one I played, yeah. I also only played the Honzo school, and that just felt like the story was there just to allow for the fanservice (which is why I bought the game in the first place to be honest ), but if there's more to it, I'll keep at it. Can I catch up on the Burst story somewhere other than the game? Like the anime, or is that an adaptation of something else?

Hm, does that game actually have a story worth following? I've enjoyed the boobs gameplay a lot, but I felt kind of done after completing the first school and the girls' stories there. It all kind of felt like a filler to something I didn't even know, since this (I assume) doesn't act as an entry game to the series. Is it worth it actually going through the rest and paying more attention to the NVL scenes?

It was never really described as anything more than an entity. It's highly possible that it was just Ayase's delusions in the first place, so it could've been like fighting with something very abstract like emotions or the like. You could also interpret it like them destroying the Noah if you were to stretch it a lot - but there's no guarantee that this is a good ending in the first place, so I'd actually just lean towards the possibility that the scene after the credits was just a delusion in itself. None of the endings have really ended well so far, that's what the true ending is for, I assume. It's probably safest to think that in all of the above three endings, the Noah II plan went through. Just as a small tease, from what I've read of Sena's end so far, it deals heavily with the Committee of 300, and possibly Noah itself as well.

Euphoria focuses on this aspect quite a lot - most of it is about the protagonist holding back his dark urges and doing what is expected of him, doing what is right - and it's up to you in which direction you push him. There's one ending especially where he goes from a relatively normal student to... well, I won't spoil it. I also definitely agree with Muramasa. It's not only an amazing novel, but it shows you exactly what putting too much pressure on people does, sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

11/10, Nichijou ruined forever.
