  1. The first DanganRonpa isn't anything mindblowing, but comparing it to something as bad as Killer Queen is downright insulting. Stick with it, it has some nice ideas. And then read the sequel, it's better in pretty much every single way. EDIT: Yui's route wasn't the last route in Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete! No! NO! There was one more... and a new OP... and even after that one more entire route, and it's going through that exact same slice of life again and again and again... someone help me, I'm dying. This isn't a VN, this is a torture tool. ;_;
  2. Yeah, the anime is an absolute trainwreck. The VN is way better - it's not as good as S;G, but it's still great in its own rights; I'd even say it does some things a bit better - but I can understand if the anime ruined it for you forever. I'll definitely check out the S;G VN.
  3. Wait, wait... is this referring to the C;H protagonist? I might have to read this.
  4. Suddenly got the urge to read Akatsuki no Goei, so I picked up Tsuki's after story in the fandisc and finished it in one go. More than a fandisc route, it felt like a proper ending to her route - and it made me realise how much her route needed that. I've really enjoyed it a lot - there was character development for both Tsuki and Kaito, which was fantastic. It also reaffirmed that Tsuki is indeed the best girl forever, and I won't let anyone say otherwise. D:
  5. Since my roommate is most likely finally going to get a tablet to play VNs, I was downloading and going through a bit of Clannad so I could give it to him later (he asked for some middle school romance for his first VN), and damn, the rush of nostalgia and the feels from the BGMs nearly took me out. After all those years, I was starting to think that Clannad wasn't that special after all, but if just reading through the prologue nearly moved me to tears, there must've been something there. I'm glad this was one of my first VNs.
  6. Senshinkan, stop ;_;

      Too much kanji spams or kanji combinations you've never seen before? :P

      It's doing all that plus crazy complicated writing all around. :D Fun story so far, though!

  7. I don't know about Dies Irae, but Senshinkan is giving me considerably more trouble than Muramasa did. But yeah, I suppose 'almost' is the key word here, Muramasa had its moments too.
  8. O-oh... Well, my second entry was SubaHibi and third Dies Irae, so either way I was just picking things that will never happen. Does JAST actually do anything with their licenses? Don't they still own Chaos;Head too, or was that someone else? On topic though, also went all for physical copies. Getting all the bonus stuff (even if it's completely useless) always makes the purchase so much better.
  9. Just wrote Muramasa into the field asking you for the VN you'd like to see licensed. What have I done.
  10. Played some more of Senshinkan - this has to be the first VN I've ever read where the girls go creeping on guys. Couldn't stop laughing at that scene - and when the always-serious MC got so pissed that he decided to go sneak up on them at night as revenge, I was practically just dying. The best part was that when they were making their plan, the super seirous evil chuuni music was playing in the background... never thought extremely serious music and comedy could go so well together. Now just deciding between continuing C;H and pushing through the rest of Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete (I really need to figure out how to shorten this abomination), assuming I am in the last route. I hope I am, because the bullshit levels only keep increasing.
  11. If anything, I would just feel paranoid and worried that I was missing something. Not necessarily even the h-CGs, but just the story details that mgiht've (or might've not) occurred in the h-content.
  12. Now, I think I will wait until weekend to play it again since I heard the game will crash if I saved in chapter 7. I think I will continue playing Neko Para now. Oh damn, sorry. Thought it was removed from context enough to not be a spoiler at all, but I suppose it does put some expectations in your head no matter what it is. Oh, also, one the topic of the translation-- playing the PSP version, I've noticed the first two chapter names are in English even in the Japanese version. Haven't gotten any further yet so I don't know about the rest, but it's probably safe to assume none of the chapter names were translated in the first place.
  13. Playing HuniePop... I was secretly addicted to Bejeweled all this time, so buying this thing was probably the biggest mistake I've ever made. The writing is killing me too, really enjoying this so far.
  14. Amazing, I was hoping there was something like this. Bought, already downloading.
  15. So if I want to play on Steam, I will have to play the censored version? How do I let everyone know I'm playing this masterpiece, then?!
  16. That's it, I'm buying this for Audrey. Are there more versions of the game or am I fine if I just get the Steam one?
  17. Oh my god, I completely forgot about this. Do tell me what it's like when you play it.
  18. It'll bring you back so hard that you won't be able to read anything else for quite a bit, I'm afraid.
  19. Unless the game is rated 18+, which is pretty rare, you can buy the digital copy with just the credit bought from play-asia without any trouble. Better yet, PS+ tends to have VNs on it quite often, so you might consider signing up for that - I've gotten Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head this way, among other things. You can also access PSN in your browser on pc, so you can search for (or buy) VNs there. EDIT: I was posting from my phone earlier, sorry for being so brief. To expand a bit on the original post: You can make a Japanese PSN account without any trouble - you do not need a credit card to do that, and you shouldn't get into any trouble for entering a fake address either. I've been using mine over two years and I've bought quite a lot of games on it, and I haven't gotten into any trouble myself - the same goes for my US PSN account, which I've had even longer. I haven't heard of anyone getting into trouble for fake information, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about there - the only thing you should keep in mind is the date of birth you enter - either enter your real one or one that you'll remember easily, since entering it is the only way to get your password reset in case you forget it. You can create your account either on your console or on your PC, it shouldn't really matter where, although I found it a bit easier on consoles. As for the Playstation Store itself, you can access it from your PC on the following link https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/ Here you can look for games, buy games, redeem codes or even queue your downloads for your consoles, it's very useful. It also switched the regions according to the account with which you are signed in, so using multiple accounts isn't a problem either. Hope this helps!

    Nukige

    Haha, that really seems like the only way to get this VN - considering their other titles are more or less readily available, I wonder what that says about Grimoire itself. I'm curious about the MC, but not nearly enough to throw money at it.
  21. Hm, Blac Cyc is becoming kind of a recurring theme in this thread. I am planning on checking out Mugen Kaisou and Gore Screaming Show at the very least... I'm curious how I'll handle those, not a fan of sadism/masochism, and guro will be a first for me. What are you guys getting me into... I didn't really mean handicapped heroines by that. I did read Hanako's and Emi's routes at least, not sure how I feel about going through the rest thanks to some real life experience. Should finish it up eventually though, it's a pretty good VN, especially for an OELVN. As for Kara no Shoujo, the romance was hardly the focus there, so it's pretty much out.

    Nukige

    I've only recently started reading nukige, and even then I wouldn't say I've finished many. I usually tend to go for very weird titles, either dark stuff to just see how messed up and ridiculous it can be, or the weird but light-hearted just for the h-scenes themselves... those are pretty hard to find though. Usually I only end up liking only very few h-scenes from the nukige itself anyway, where they manage to hit some very specific spots, but yeah - always just a part of it. With those aside, the only nukige I've really enjoyed I've enjoyed not because of the h-content but the story. And it was euphoria of all thins, too... wtf Clockup, I didn't expect that level of quality at all. Speaking of disturbing weird stuff, I remember looking for this once out of curiosity, but I couldn't find it. Maybe I was saved, but now that it came up again... where did you get this thing? Although judging by that 'Sex with insects' tag, this thing will give me a lifelong trauma.
  23. It supposedly has routes. You guys got me so hyped that I started reading it right now; I'll let you know if there's any extra content or not. I honestly can't imagine how routes would even work in this context. EDIT: Got to the first trigger in the game, and wow, at the very least, they made them super obvious this time around - it goes over the entire screen. Not missing them this time around. EDIT2: Wow, forgot how disgusting and awkward Takumi can be at times. When he started talking to Yua in his MMO-persona-chat-speak, I was stuck somewhere between laughing really hard and screaming in secondhand embarrassment. You really don't see this often, C;H deserves props for this alone - though yeah, with my memory refreshed, I can easily see why people would hate him. I still enjoy it a lot myself, though - I'll take Takumi over a faceless or boring MC any day.
  24. I will be reading it in Japanese this time around, to get the VN without any alterations. I'm not touching MoeNovel's stuff ever again. :x
  25. I have the VN installed, I'll go read Kotori's route asap I swear. ;_; Well, I'll have to go through the common route again too, though I forgot most of it anyway, so the character antics should be fun. All this talk about C;H is giving me serious urges to go read the Noah version of the VN, though... I'm up to a re-read, and I'm very curious about the routes too... the only problem is that the kanji will most likely wreck me on the Vita, assuming the game still is in my PS+ library. No idea when they deny you access to the past PS+ games on the JPN PSN, but they let you use them much longer than on the EU one for sure. EDIT: Oh, it still is in my download list. And that VN was on PS+ on Christmas 2013... o.O Major props to Japan, this is how you do PS+ @@ Well, I guess I'm reading C;H on the side now too.
