  1. Anything else from KEY, really. Little Busters! is really good, as people said, Kanon isn't bad either.Even if Rewrite is very different in terms of story focus from KEY's other works, it still has all the feels. Hoshizora no Memoria is also in a similar vein, but I would recommend that only after the KEY stuff, it isn't that impressive.
  2. Just read a little bit of Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi when I tried if it works properly, and it seems like it'll be just the kind of mindfuck I like. Now I have high expectations for this. Anyway, almost done with Anzu's route in the AkaGoei fandisc. I have to say, it paints Kaito in much darker colours than the other VNs do - there isn't really anything new in there, but with it all being described in detail and as it happens, you get to see just what kind of person Kaito was brought up to be. And it's not nice. I'm glad I read it though, I feel like after reading the parts with Akira, the last parts of Shuumatsuron will be even more enjoyable.
  3. And boy is there a lot to explore, there's even a whole fictional 'Choose your own adventure' book hidden in there! Ah, why can't they release this sort of content in their newer VNs too?
  4. Exactly what Funnerific said. I've ended up really liking Tachi in the end, but when you start reading the VN and the weirdness just hits you right in the face, it takes quite some time to adjust.
  5. I find it amazing how you can complain about any protagonist after getting through Cross Channel. On a more serious note though, don't take the MC for how he acts at first. In a lot of cases there's much more to the MC than first meets the eye.
  6. Not to such an extent as in other KEY works, where you just read the same thing each time until the story finally branches; if I remember correctly, Clannad isn't really like that. Sure, there is a base outline you could call a common route, but depending on your choices, you'll see entirely different things, not like in, say, Rewrite or Little Busters, where you go through the exact same plot each time with just minimal variations until the route reaches a certain point. Well, Clannad was one of the first VNs I've read so I might be forgetting things, but I think it was pretty much like that.
  7. Actually, no. If I remember correctly, there isn't much of a common route, since the plot branches really early on - that said, you will have to start the VN again each time, obviously.
  8. There's Anzu route on Akagoei2? Yesyesyes-- And don't worry, I'm just reading the Anzu route in the fandisc - I'm not even switching VNs, it's all a part of the trinity release; so it's like a very long flashback. I should be done with this route soon, then it's right back to Shuumatsuron. The fun thing about not using a guide is finding out what the choices do - and I haven't gotten stuck yet, just attempted to do some routes out of order. Well, at least I got to see an extra scene, I think.
  9. Yeah, I've just skipped through all the routes and I'm reading Anzu's route now. I don't feel like reading the others in the middle of the third VN; though I think I'll read them later. Tsuki's at the very least.
  10. After failing to get on Shouko's route two times, I've finished Reika's, Kiyomi's and That's the only thing I don't like much about this VN so far, how some routes share the same base. It feels kind of... lazy? In that sense, Kiyomi's route would be the best out of these three, since it was unique - but the climax was sorely disappointing compared to the other two, on the other hand. Those routes are definitely on top so far when it comes to the action. EDIT: Huh, I got to Shouko's route no problem now, I guess it was just blocked before. That was weird. That said, I hear Anzu has a route on the fandisc? I had a quick look but didn't see it, do you have to finish all the other ones first? I guess I'll have to take a break from the last entry and read the fandisc now. I know that feeling. Amane's bad ending was the ifrst ending I got in Kajitsu, so it set the bar high for me too. As for Michiru... it's not as much disappointing as it is unfitting, I'd say. Well, I still don't like her as anything else but a comic relief character either, anyway... Unfortunately, Yumiko is where the true disappointment is at, you might want to do her route before Makina's, since Makina has a similar route, just much better written and with better content.
  11. That's what made the stream fun in the first place, though! I still want that translation released I think most of the Japanese you've used is familiar to the people reading VNs already either way. As for yoroshiku... yeah, that's a bitch. If only that was the only untranslatable thing in Japanese, huh...? I don't know, I've personally enjoyed the stream a lot, even if I unfortunately haven't seen the whole thing (I think I missed the orcas, damn... ) The mistakes here and there made it more enjoyable in a way. This probably sounds weird, but it at least wasn't stiff that way, you know? With the commentary and all, it ended up being more entertaining and fun than just a regular VN reading would be.
  12. As much as I loved the anime adaptation (still my favourite adaptation right next to Steins;Gate), I would have to disagree that it is better in terms of the story. For the people who've seen the anime, can you honestly say you've understood the last two episodes completely? I still feel like it's not explained well enough in the anime, and that it makes more sense in the VN medium. But as I said before, don't pick just one. Read first and watch later for the maximum amount of feels.
  13. I would really recommend reading the VN - and watching the anime after that, since the adaptation is great. That said, some of the plot points near the end make much more sense in the VN environment - and they're much better explained in the VN as well. That, and Clannad is probably the VN with most content I've ever read; it'd be a huge shame to miss out on somehting with such freedom when it comes to choices... the amount of routes in this VN is ridiculous, in a good way.
  14. Staying up for this was totally worth it, looking forward to the next stream!
  15. Finished Shion's route in AkaGoei2. Well, it was more or less what I expected, felt like a bonus thing like Sayo's. At least there was a bit of dere at the end, was worth it I guess.
  16. I don't really a need one, at least not yet. I have a pretty good idea of what which choice does so far, and I haven't gotten stuck yet either. Not a difficult VN choice wise - it's definitely no Kara no Shoujo. Edit: Just got Sayo's ending. Well, that was fast... The "route" had only like three new scenes, including the ending... Well, I guess I'll get on Shion's next.
  17. Just got the bad ending in AkaGoei2, that was some crazy shit. How am I even supposed to handle all those new characters? Got a bit confused by the last dialogue, but that only made it even better. This was getting so epic I was jhonestly glad it was a bad ending - otherwise I'd feel like I did the best route too soon. I think it's time to do the routes I'm not interested in first. I think I'll go for Sayo if I can, since I like her the least from the cast.
  18. Wait, if my time conversion is correct... then that's 3 in the morning for me. Wombo combo indeed.
  19. Sounds like this will be hilarious, I will definitely try to attend, if I don't get defeated by timezones.
  20. Now that I think about it, it's funny how I could take Makina much more seriously than Michiru.
  21. Her route was actually the worst, in my opinion. Even her reactions were funnier in the other routes at times, but the main problem is the writing and the plot that is just a weaker version of Makina's route. It's such a shame though, I was looking forward to her route the most.
  22. I friggin loved the action soundtracks as well. They are simply epic imo. Who are you going after next? I am thinking of doing Reika's route next, so I can get the other side of the common route. And if it is impossible to go on her route first off (don't tell me, I want to be surprised, who knows where I'll end up ), I'll do Son's sister's route, probably. On another note, I've accidentally read that Shion apparently has a route, even though she isn't even in the OP, I can't help it but think she took someone's place. Well, hopefully this isn't the case, I don't want to judge routes even before I tried them.
