Damn it. This will be hard... On another note, I see that there's a Kosame route now, judging by the choices. I'm okay with this development.
-
Geh, I knew I should've done Aoi's route sooner. And I don't really mind Chinami or anything, I just really don't want to see the h-scenes. I have a little sister too, you know? I hope the "Onii-chan filled route" doesn't refer to her having a route.

I would argue that Saya's h-scenes were disturbing for a reason, and that's why they were there... though there's probably no point in glossing over the fact that they were there for the usual reasons as well. Just like with every other VN, they took away from my enjoyment - though at the very least, the h-scenes have a lot more integrity with the plot in Saya's case than anything else I've read. To give my opinion on the VN, I loved it. The h-scenes are my only complaint, though they're a small thing to the unusual and very interesting story. It's one of my favourite VNs. As for myself, I've just finished Komomo's route in Hoshizora. I really liked it - it was so good, in fact, that I'm kind of regretting reading it so soon - I doubt Aoi's can compare to it. But who knows? She was pretty awesome in this route too. I'm also getting a sneaking suspicion Chinami might have a route, judging by the CG gallery.... please tell me that's not the case. :X

It kind of is, but it's actually a surprisingly good romance as well. Or I'm just really messed up.

Just finished Asuho's route in Hoshizora. It was honestly kind of a drag - and I really wasn't expecting the h-scenes, and so many of them at that. Felt pretty out of place... though now that I think about it, they don't really feel fitting that often either. Well, hopefully the other routes are better. Going for Komomo next.

Whoa, whoa, really? What's the name? Just when I thought Sakura Trick was the best thing that could happen, you're telling me it's just STARTING all the yuri goodness? Hell yes!

That "trailer" ending was awesome, I was actually hoping we'd see something like that in the end. Though the ending we got was great in its own way. Hachikuji's arc got me too, yeah - the only reason why I mentioned Nadeko's was because it came first. I actually really liked how they went against the pattern and Nadeko's arc kind of started it, but even if it looked like it could all be reversed, Hachikuji's made clear just what was up. Well, that was probably why I ended up liking this season the most.

Just finished watching Second Season, and I was impressed. I liked the previous instalments, but I never found it that amazing - though the developments in this one were so unexpected that I ended up liking it the most. Especially Otorimonogatari clicked with me, I really wasn't expecting that.

Aaaaah, now I can't wait. Yuru Yuri is my favourite anime out of the moe-focused kind.

After trying to get a different route quick, I've realized that I've skipped far further than I wanted to, way into a different route (had the VN in the background :/) So, is the Hoshizora skip function really broken? How does it work?
-
Hm, that might be the case, the VN I encountered the problem with has these files as well. ------------ Okay, I've encountered another VN with this problem - るいは智を呼ぶ (Rui wa tomo wo yobu). Just like the previous cases, there are xp3 files in the folder, so it's probably safe to conclude these are the source of the problem. I can also confirm that the contents of the zip fixed the problem.

From the quick look on the special h-scenes in Meikyuu I had, there seems to be at least one involving the principal. So you might get what you're looking for there. Coincidentally, I'm also struggling through MGQ1 when I have nothing else to do, but god that protag. At least the VN is sometimes funny, that's honestly the only redeeming quality so far. The sexiness should be a given, though even that is not there with most of the monster girls. I'm still playing Hoshizora, I think I finished the common route and got into Asuho's route - though the VN really doesn't make this clear, so I might be wrong.Honestly not interested in Asuho's route at all, just went for ehr first because of the constant assaults, so I'd have her out of the way. But who knows? Maybe there will be something interesting. I also read two of the short stories in Meikyuu, and I've enjoyed these a lot. Not really a spoiler, but I'm sure there's a lot to look forward to in these. Other than that, kinda stalled KimiNozo because of how dragged it is. Just got past the twist, and now I'm kind of unmotivated to struggle through the japanese.

The Chaos;Head anime adaptation should be treated the same as the Tsukihime one. Yeah, it's that bad.

Grisaia no Meikyuu Translation Started
Vokoca replied to douggle's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
Awesome progress. I was just reading some of the short stories in Meikyuu, and they're even more hilarious than Kajitsu's common route - there definitely is a lot of variety to look forward to. -
You're saying that as if the common route being so long was a bad thing! Or are these just my weird tastes again? Speaking of common routes, I'm playing Hoshizora. Got to the Attendance Day yesterday, I wonder for how long the common route is going to continue. Going for Asuho first just to get her out of the way - can't wait to do Komomo's route right after that, since she seems to be one of these rare not-annoying tsunderes.

Really? It did rely on the mysteries a lot, it really didn't have much else than that and the characters' approach to them. I like slice-of-life anime, and some of my favourite shows have even less plot than Hyouka does, so I doubt the problem here is that it's slice-of-life.
-
The Kara no Kyoukai movies are my favourites - if I had to pick one, I'd go for either the fifth or the seventh movie, but I really like them all.
-
I've seen about half of it, and then I kind of stalled it, since it kept disappointing me. I was expecting something more from each arc, but I never got that, it all felt just painfully average. I'm not sure how to put this... it was like the anime was making huge deals out of things that were completely unimpressive in the end? None of the "mysteries" I've seen were that interesting, or their solutions, for that matter. The amateur movie arc was probably my favourite from what I've seen, but even then that wasn't particularly mind-blowing. That said, the art is gorgeous, and Chitanda is adorable - she was the reason I made it that far in the first place.

If you get the error that I've mentioned, this should most likely fix it - that's why I posted this in the first place.

Hi guys, I've recently run into an error while trying to run a visual novel on Win8 64bit, specifically: "authentication failed unrecognized kernel32 module. / nm" After a bit of digging, I've solved the issue - and I thought I'd share the solution, in case someone has the same problem. All you need to do is download the zip from the following website and extract the dll file into the folder with your visual novel executable. Worked like a charm for me. I had this problem with the visual novel 失われた未来を求めて (Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete), though from what I've read, this can happen with My Girlfriend is the President as well, at the very least. Since there can be more cases like this, I thought I'd leave a topic here. Hope it helps!

Oh, how is that VN? It looked pretty interesting from what I've seen, so I was meaning to read it someday - how did you like it?
-
Oh, let me put it in a different way, then. What I meant was that in Little Busters! and Clannad specifically, these bad ends are a part of the main route, and you have to go through them no matter what. So I didn't count them as much as "bad ends", as "normal ends", with what comes afterwards being the true ending. Steins;Gate has the same pattern with the True end... does that make any sense? Not sure if I'm explaining this well. By bad ends, I was referring to the story branches that don't lead anywhere and are completely optional.
-
Yep, I figured; that's why I sad "KEY endings" in general. Doesn't change the fact that it was great though, definitely agreed.
-
was amazing. Grisaia also comes into mind but Amane's particularly stood out due to the fact that she was able to come into terms with herself. Little Busters! has the bad ending in Refrain. Oh, I definitely agree with all of these! The F/SN HF bad end is also my favourite bad end in the whole VN. Amane's bad end was amazing, I got it the first time through, and it was so well done that I thought it was the true ending until the VN suddenly ended. And to be completely honest, I liked that Refrain! ending more than the true ending, since it gave the previous events all the more meaning. Though I'm glad the true end was there, wouldn't be complete without it. Are you referring to the first After Story ending? That was great, yeah! Though I'm not sure if it's fair to count these KEY endings, as they're just a point in the story, not necessarily an ending. Unless you mean an other end? To add one more from my part, I'd have to pick one from Corpse Party: Blood Covered, specifically the one that occurs when you read all the diaries in the last chapter. That was probably the most disturbing thing in the entire game, those sound effects make me shudder to this day. :x
