  1. It's because the two characters have history. He's implying that anyone who knew her, Sumika, would not want to touch them, because of who she is.
  2. The character he is writing for IS a high school student.
  3. Out of that shot, yes, but overall, that will be 40% lost in all shots. The translation never left me wondering. Infact, the translation comparison above makes the fan one look better! In Japanese, they say names when referring to a person, so it makes far more sense that he says ""They're yours. They're Sumika's!!" VS the much plainer and less characterized: "You do realize this is YOU we're talking about, right!?"
  4. Ugh. They cropped the shit out out of these, just like G-Senjou no Mao. Before: After: God dammit. I hate this shit. No reason for Wide-screen if you lose 20% on the top and bottom! I was even thinking about buying this, just like I thought about buying G-Senjou, as I love both of them and wanted to support more coming to the west, but I am not going to pay for an INFERIOR PRODUCT!
  5. I understand it completely. It doesn't stop it from Bullshit. I'm at the boss of the Elementals world right now, and he's total horseshit. I have Banish skills in support, but he has this attack that does 1000 damage, can't be banished, no matter what skill you use. On the Magic World, and this explemplifies the worst of the combat system.Hydra is total bullshit, and there is no explanation about skills, about how Alpha skills literally have no affect, or how your Banish skill is cast the PREVIOUS TURN, so you have to -guess- when the boss is going to use Hdyra, and he fucking uses it randomly, sometimes 1/10 turns, other times 5/10 turns, it's hard to guess without having your entire fucking party die. HOLY SHIT. I keep getting him down to like 25%, then he just casts Hydra non-stop and I can't keep up.
  6. I'm 10 hours in, at the part with the Elementals, I have to save every fight. The shit does not make sense, and I hate that it's not Cookie Cutter. I liked the first, because it added something to do besides reading in a VN, just side-game, this is too much. I don't understand. I have a Banish Skill. Ice Banish. The enemy has a skill, Firebolt. For some reason, I don't fucking Banish it, and I have to swap every god damned character around until it works. Seriously thinking of cheating.
  7. So I'm playing this... But it's weird. Maybe I don't remember the first game well enough, but I absolutely hate the combat in this. At least the controls make it an absolute pain, and no AA option in game? There's more jaggies than actual polygons. The first one didn't have this issue... Also, I have to save every fight, the combat system seems so much more difficult. It used to be just matching colors and skills, but now it seems character dependent as well, it's really frustrating me.
  8. Hurrah. Release time. Time to wait for it to be "Available" Had no luck so far. Also yeah, the first one is a great game. I recommend doing it first. I did multiple playthroughs, due to how fun the combat was, and the multiple routes. The reason I recommend it is first is, well, the sequel "may" have improvements and things that make the game better and easier, and it'd be harder to go back to the old one after that.
  9. It's so bad. I wasnt' expecting much, mind you... But it's really, really bad. I mean, someone compared this to Rance...saying it was of the same quality...what a joke. This makes Rance look like Muv Luv.
  10. No one cares about Nekopara porn, that's why.
  11. Rubber bits? Uh, no, it's Teflon. Infact, I just replaced my my Teflon feet, which were a few years old, and things are much smoother. I've tried wooden desk, glass desk, even a expensive 45$ mouse pad, the "Razer Destructor 2", which is a hard mouse pad and works fine. But it grinds away at the Teflon. http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mouse-mats/razer-destructor-2 However, it worked great, but something was missing in comparison to my older cloth mouse pads. I use a G9x, which has a ANS-9500 Laser. It tracks best on the hard mouse pad as shown above, yet the problem is there's a lack of control on Aluminum / smooth surfaces. So I moved on and saw a 10$ Microfiber mouse pad on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Glorious-Extended-Gaming-Mouse-Mat/dp/B00J2EF4K6 Do forgive the name, it's stupid, I know. But for 10$, it works really well for me and all the mice I've tried on it. They also have great customer support, it says machine washable, so I decided to try it after owning it for almost a year, but ti ended up kind of busting in the washer, i/e the cloth separated from the base, despite following instructions. I contacted them about a replacement and they sent a new one out, without even wanting the old one back. No questions asked. Good service and price, I'd say. However, it is rather large, and thin, which IS good, but means it will bump along anything on your desk and mess up your accuracy. So abit after that, I had an idea. I pulled out my expensive 45$(I still cannot fathom why I bothered buying such an expensive one, but I was desperate at the time, my accuracy seems to be down in games.), I placed THAT down, then my Microfiber pad on top of it, which gave it a perfectly flat surface. I also removed my wrist wrest after reading many articles that showed it only strained your wrist, didn't help. I've tried it on and off, with and without, and it's tough to say. There's benefits to both. I feel like I have a tiny bit more control with a wrist rest, but at the same time it applies pressure to your wrist, causing strain, and therefore negating the benefit almost. Infact my wrist pain cleared up quite abit when I stopped using one, to my surprise. I'd say Laser mice are still better as long as you have the proper mouse pad and surface for it. Optical allow you more room for error, but overall aren't as pinpoint accuracy.
  12. You scared me. I didn't know this website had pop up like IM's when quoted. Was reading a page and boom, I was like "WHAT IS THIS" I've been thinking about re-reading Tsukihime lately. I could never finish Majikoi, I tried, but after doing two routes, it just felt so...meh to me. I don't want to play VN with 10 hour routes or simple stories. I need a sprawling, 40 hour story, with deep lore and interesting characters. Majikoi had good characters, but it lacked everything else. I'm just completely sick of VN's taking place in a romcom setting. And I've already read most of the greats.
  13. Nothing to play here, I've been looking around, but every god damned release has been delayed lately, be it Eein no Aselia 2 or Corpse party 2015 was a dead year for VN with no big releases.
  14. Game is buggy as hell. Disappointed. Using my controller and alot of buttons aren't working in it for some reason. My audio seems to stutter / fuzz out randomly, no set time period, sometimes 2-3 minutes without, then none, and images flicker as well.
  15. Xseed is as bad as JAST, it seems. That thread is depressing. "Corpse Party PC announced for a 2014 release" "Corpse Party PC announced for a 2015 release" Ugh. I don't understand. it's in English, it's already got a version on PC, what is taking? "January 2015: "We're just finishing up some QC, a month or two now." Then 6 months later they say Corpse Party is one of the hardest projects to date? What? They have plenty of games, far more complex, already ported over and working. I'm also confused as fuck because they keep saying it won't be the PSP version, then what will it be? We already have the 2011 PC version or so, this is the PSP Remake we were told, and now it's not? Shit's a mess. I no longer have any idea where to start in this series? The PSP one? The PC one?? This new one? Why is it so fucking confusing, it shouldn't be.
  16. They have forums? I can barely navigate their damn website. Still, i was excited to play it, but it's just taking forever now.
  17. Like 4-5 months ago I read it was coming to PC by the end of 2015, by Xseed. Now we're half-way through Feb, no mentions.
  18. Progress? What? That was the same thing said months ago. -
  19. So I got an hour or two into fuukos route, the brunette who wants to start the drama club. I really wanted to finish this...but I think I'm done. Majikoi stopped me too. I think I can't enjoy Slice of Life VNs anymore. I don't know. I've read to many of the epic VNS, that encase a unique world, characters, sprawling, great stories...that I can't enjoy the whole "Life is hard being a teenager" VNs anymore...sad, I used to like them so much. It happened to me with Harems too. I can't enjoy Harem animes anymore unless it has a REAL twist to it, like something dark or it has great humor. Which sucks because like 95% of VN are slice of life and 50% of Anime are Harems. It essentially blocks off a large portion of content to me because lazy writers.
  20. Kyou X Ryou route makes less and less sense to me because of how little we know the characters. With Kyou, there is implied history, they seem to know each other well. Except or the bike & boar. With Ryou it's nothing. He's barely ever talked to her before the start of her route. Yet she'd basically sleep with him after dating him for a week / do whatever he wanted. I know it's a VN, but even that is just to unbelievable. I thought Key was praised for it's romantic stories? This is awful. Just awful. She will completely change her personality, desires, everything to be with this boy she BARELY KNOWS. There needs to be some setup tot his, but there isn't. He's implied that he just started talking to her, and mostly just a word or two at a time and she is willing to devote herself 100%. Tomoya is not exceptionally handsome, rich, or exceptionally nice and caring. He's average in everything, even being a decent person. Unlike alot of VN, there's no reason for such a girl to just fall madly in love with him to the point of obsession. Ryou needs to get checked into a asylum. I am on Kyous now and it focuses 80% of Ryou and how much of a whiny asshole TOmoya is. I got put into this route for not using a guide...bad choice, I think. Aw shit, I just got Kyous ending. That was fucking pathetic. Maybe I was overhyped for Clannad, but this is garbage tier. Maybe it's just that route for the game, alot of VNS have a bad one, but everything about it past the mid-way point sucked ass. Like...I'd say Do You Like Horny Bunnies had better writing than the second half. Also, none of the negative consequences are dealt with. We HEAR about them for a few hours of reading, then...TOmoya and Kyou kiss and THE END. ALL THAT BUILD UP. FOR NOTHING. Seriously, Tomoya is going to get so much shit from everyone at school who saw him with Ryou. Kyous friends too. No matter what Ryou says about "They wanted to be together, I was the problem", both Tomoya and Kyou are going to get shit on so hard by their friends, probably only have each other besides blondie...pathetic. I like how they just brush over it with saying she got another boyfriend, like -that' almost no time had passed. She must be easy! These routes are so short you can't even get invested in any of the characters. Shortest routes I've ever seen in a VN, or is it just Kyou & Ryous route that is so short?
  21. So I got the Kyou / Ryou bad end first. I next used a walkthrough to get the Ryou end...but it ended within 5 minutes. What the hell? That's a SHORT ROUTE. I've heard about the after-story, does that continue the routes later on? Because if so, I am let down by Clannad. It was funny with your friend, the romantic moments were so-so. I know this is only one route and that Ryous isn't one you get an orb of light from, but boy that was pathetic. What do you know about Ryou? You know she likes fortune telling...and you know her last name. Oh she also likes Tanazite. That's it. YOu know nothing more about her. Your chemistry is even pathetically weak. I mean every route can't be awesome, but what a let down regardless. She was cute though. Going to do Kyous now, but there was nothing sad nor heart-rending in Ryous route. The dead end with picking neither of them was abit rough, but it was far to easy to get. Basically if you don't completely ignore your sense of morality, you can't get with either girl. I don't like that. Update on Steam spy: http://steamspy.com/app/324160 Owners: 7,749 ± 2,140 That means + or -, so there could be 9000 owners or 5000 owners, ect. The price, along with lack of advertising didn't help. But still, 5000+ Copies sold @ 42 to 50$ each...compared to most VNs selling for 15-20$ on Steam...they made a pretty penny. Really curious as to how Muv Luv will sell. Considering for 60$, you'll get ALL three games, I believe, which will lead to like 150 hours of story or something...better value than Clannad. It's all about advertising though! IF they hype it up with Steam advertisements, showing off stuff on the front page ect, it could definitely sell like 30,000+ Copies. It has something for everyone, unlike Clannad. You got Muv Luv Extra, which covers your dating sim Clannad style, then you got Unlimited which is kind of goofy anime mech stuff, then you got Alternative which is dark PTSD, Fate/Stay Night shit. It covers all the bases, so it'll be effective at capturing many audiences.
  22. Cheats? What are you talking about? I read that VN at the start of the year, I don't remember any "Cheating"
  23. Wow, so on the route with the twins and just got to the part where to dispel rumors, she is going to use numbnuts in her plan. I kind of didn't like her character then. "Yeah, I'll kiss this guy I don't like, I'll go out with him despite not liking him, merely so that my sisters relationship might be better." Besides sabotaging her own happiness, what about numbnuts? He accepts because he's a fool, she assumes, and then he's stuck in a relationship with a girl who basically reviles him, all to further her own agenda with her sister? Numbnuts turned out not to be an idiot luckily. Still, it made her go from a pretty awesome character to a pretty shitty one. The WHOLE scene was so cringe inducing. Really not liking this route. It's so forced. "Hey, mah sister likes you, date her, if you say no, get the bad end." Even though you DO NOT know her. You know NOTHING about her, except her name, and that she likes fortune telling. Beyond that, she has no personality.
