Very nice review, I agree with a lot of it. I personally though, feel like the routes that were "out of place" and "reduntant" made for a nice contrast in the game. You get a fairly normal vanilla story with light romance that kind of walks away from the plot, which is a nice break from the heavy psychological, confusing and brutal core story. Its defenitely a novel that wont appeal to everyone because of its very graphic content but the story is intruiging as all hell, and I would reccomend it to people who usually doesnt touch VNs like this for that reason. (I myself was new to this kind of thing when I started it.) One more thing I feel is worthy of being mentioned is the choices. I felt that the choices throughout the story were a little to simple. You get a bad end if you pick the wrong one, but ... its easy to know which one is the right choice. So, you don't really get the bad end by mistake that much. At least, that is what I felt when I played it. If they made it a little harder to know what is the right choice, it would force a bad end on you more often, making for a little more of a shocking experience, which I think is fitting for this title.

Using the default one EDIT: I also tried using ITH, but it gave the same error. wait the "error 503" is related to the translator you are using not the text hooking method. are you using the machine translation right？ ah my mistake, yes thats what I am using then. try using other translator, check the part in my tutorial with this title "Finally using Atlas or any other online translator if you want (I will assume that you know how to install atlas, once installed the program doesn't need any configuration it will use it automatically):" Ahh yes this was it. I didn't see kantai collection on that list, doesn't get more shoujo ai + slice of life then that Also, second asobi ni iku yo. Male lead, but the female characters are adorable and awesome. Yamada-kun and the seven witches is really light and sorta slice of life, though its not quite what you asked for. Still, I´d recommend it. Really good comedy and nice romance, love the characters.

Translation is somewhat similar, but this is much more user friendly and much quicker. So in turn, its better. (In my opinion at least.) That being said, no tool like this will truly translate everything flawlessly, especially not free ones.

Sorry for the slight necro bump, but I'm having some trouble using this. It worked fine for a little bit, but then I keep getting the error "The external server `returned an error (503) and is not responding." The text gets hooked, but the translation isnt displayed. Instead that error message is. Any idea whats wrong?

To keep the mysterious element to the max, I´d say do Rinne next, then Nemu and finally the last route. (Which will unlock after Nemu´s)

yeah to be honest it would be better if they just announced it as cancelled... nothing worse than never knowing when the next chapter is coming. Also, tbh the ending to the last issue wasnt half bad. If they just call it quits I wouldnt mind. Also feel like the last issues of sekirei is in the same boat, though pretty sure the RAWs for those are out at least.

This is more of a shot in the dark, but my friend had some trouble launching patched VNs on his windows 8.1 computer, and that was fixed after changing his text format to Japanese, (so not just the locale.) If you haven't already done that, might be worth a shot. I doubt its the root of the problem, but it doesn't hurt giving it a try. Haha your shot in the dark actually hit bulls eye. It works!! Its not a big change, I think the only difference is that you see the time and dates in Kanji and some pop ups will display Kanji as well. The computer shouldn't be affected in any other way. Yeah, figured. It would be a shame if I pushed myself into it and got burnt out. I´ll give it another go after I finish this batch of novels. Kinda want something other than just vanilla slice of life romances right now. Besides, the heavy psychological abuse from Euphoria plus a long and heavy read in Clannad at the same time would probably end up killing me.

Did you restart after changing to Japanese locale? Also, I´m sure this might be a silly question, but did you run the MDS file with a program that lets you mount the disc file? If the game doesn't recognize the disc as you launch it, it usually won't start

Playing Euphoria at the moment. The story is suprisingly good, and I'm totally hooked. Though I need something lighter on the side, and since I just finished Shuffle! I am starting the sequel, Tick! Tack! Havent played much yet, but from the summary it seems really enjoyable. (Nerine best girl!!!) I was actually super hyped for Clannad, but to be honest, I cant get myself to really get into it right now. I'm sure its a great read, so thats why I wont force myself. I'll wait untill I feel like playing it.
