Yes, Moenovel's choice to change the game so drastically was not very well recieved. Their reason was to appeal to a greater audience; people under the age of 18. Of course, doing this to an eroge is kind of dumb, obviously. The main reason they did it though, is that the story is so light and nice. A group of friends building a glider and overcoming hardship together is basically the main focus of a large amount of the game. Also, the cute and light romance during the beginning of the routes is very fluffy and not that mature in itself. It was simple marketing. They figured more people would buy the game if the 18+ tag was removed, but in order to do that, they had to cut the H-content. Stuff like this happens, but trouble was that Moenovel decided that ALL slightly mature content had to be purged, and they literally changed parts of the game completely.

Well the entire game was censored when the original official translation was made. The only reason Ageha's script in itself was actually completely changed, was because, (story spoilers), Because of this, the people who then joined in to "fix" it by making a restoration patch had to get around the fact that the entire script was changed. In addition, there was already typos and such left in by the actual localization, meaning the original translators did a poor job. These two factos meddled in together made the restoration patch a real piece of work. That is the reason Ageha's route is exceptionally bad. (The other routes also has similar problems, bad grammar, some poor translations and direct changes to avoid inappropriate sexual content in the dialogue.)

Congrats! I did not even have time to vote, haha. The word about this game has been spreading through the forum quite fast, (and for good reason! This really is a gem.) Hopefully the steam greenlight will make it even more popular.

You make a good point. I agree, cold and overly blunt responses are unnecessary, especially when it's clear that the user is new to the site and that he hasn't seen too many of these threads get constantly shut down by the same answer over and over. It hardly takes much effort to explain the situation in an orderly fashion. It's really just a few lines: Translating something takes a lot of time and effort. It is not something people will do without motivation. Most of the time, a translation project is started because the translator(s) have a genuine interest in the title and wish to make that VN available to others who don't speak Japanese. (Or a different language of course.) Therefore, taking requests from a person, and just suddenly starting to translate a visual novel one has no connection to will rarely happen. In fact, it pretty much never happens.

There is a patch to read her route in English, yes. It is the current restoration patch, but it does, like I said, leave in a lot of errors. The reason for this is that the original translators changed the entire script in that route, and for the people who went to fix it, this was a nightmare. The current project on fuwanovel is going to make her route even more readable, if I am not mistaken, but you can read the patch that is currently available and come out with a general outline of the route. What exactly do you have in mind? You can go the route Arc went with and just transform the picture up to 1280x720, or you can go ahead and do something like this, scaling it, but that leaves a lot of room on the sides. Is there something specific you would want covering the sides? I'm not amazing at GFX stuff, but coloring or adding other images etc should be doable.

I'd say at least give them a try again once the patch comes out. I loved both of the routes, in fact Of course, if it was a complete bust for you, then maybe you shouldn't bother. But I honestly think they were pretty freaking great

That version has the "restored" content. So, you get the H-scenes and normal content, but there is a lot of typos and stuff. It's better than nothing though As for the cruise sign, it's in japanese. It's a Japanese release entierly.

It's fine to make a thread about your creative works here, but I think changing the title a little, and maybe moving this to the creative corner is a good idea. I would recommend making a thread much like the others in the creative corner, with a chunk of information about the book, perhaps an introduction to the characters, a little longer plot summary etc. As it is right now, it is hard to know exactly what the books are about, and so it might make people less inclined to buy them. If you have a more inviting thread, with information that is easy to proccess and understand, it will make people more likely to buy your books. Anyways, best of luck to you.

Cruise Sign is a PSvita port. It is adding a new route, Akari, but I think it will be a little shorter and it will also be 17+, meaning H-scenes might not be a part of it. The rest of the game itself is the same, just H-scenes cut most likely, because of the age rating. Anyways, about the translation, the main game is being re-translated, yes. There is a project on this forum: Basically, they are adding all the shit that Moenovel removed and fucked up. As for the flight diary fandisc and the snow present addon, no. At least not at the moment.

Seems there is something odd going on with the blogs. The view count for all the current posts are in the hundreds, despite being posted recently. They also increase by a LOT by simply refreshing the page.

Flight diary is a fan disc. It offers 2 new routes, Kanako and Hotaru. It also offers a few unique ero scenes, one with the twins, one with both the Himegi sisters. There is also a story about what happened before the story in Kono oozora, seeing how the soaring club was formed, and story about how it is now, after the ending in the main Kono oozora game. It is basically a sequel. Snow Present is a sidestory set a year after Kotori´s route in the main game, and continues her route. Both of the above is in Japanese, and have NOT been translated. As for the moenovel version, it is a censored version of the main game, with altered scripts to make it more child friendly, cut H-content and such. If you have the patch installed, most of this content is put back in the game, with a fair share of typos and grammatical errors. Still, it is better than nothing.
