  1. You've thoroughly managed to kindle an interest for me in that title. I'll be adding it to my reading list and placing it fairly high. Please do post your thoughts on it when you are done.
  2. Welcome to the community, I hope you enjoy the time you put in here. Do you have a favorite visual novel?
  3. Humor and comedy are personal matters. I won't say it's an entirely subjective topic, since you can judge it against who it is targeted to, but it is nevertheless something that will greatly vary from person to person. You failing to find it as funny as some other people may have isn't indicative of other people being fan boys. I genuinely (in my admittedly limited experience with the medium) have never have been more tickled with another visual novel.
  4. Without a doubt and no questions it has to be Grisaia no Kajitsu. It's probably the only visual novel that had me laughing out loud consistently during the common route. A lot of people think that the common route was too long, but it was nothing short of a joy to read for me. I was honestly disappointed when it concluded.
  5. The second seems to be mega azumarill and has a different form of huge power. I remember seeing that mega klinklang image awhile back. It was ridiculous, but I wanted it to be real. It was thoroughly disappointing.
  6. My classes resume tomorrow, so unfortunately my head will be in the books while I try to get back into the groove of things. That said, let me direct you to a couple of things: Post Your Steam Usernames? topic here on the forums. Likewise, here's the fuwanovel steam group. If you'd like, you can add me to your friends list on steam. Account name is Hobozen.
  7. Thanks for taking the time to put this together, hopefully this will spur more discussion in that direction. I'm with Rooke in how surprised I am regarding how few review topics/analysis there seems to be. After I get done reading a visual novel that I like, I always make sure to search the net to see how wrong and terribly skewed my perspective on it is. This will be good to have around.
  8. I usually just make a number of saves at certain flags. If a game has a skip to the next choice function then there's no need to bother with that. If there's been a meaningful length of time between me reading a route and moving on to the next one, I might go back and reread an entire common route or certain parts of it.
  9. Welcome to the community, please enjoy the time you put in here. As for my favorite visual novel, G-Senjou no Maou was the one the one that spurred my interest in visual novels as a medium. Another favorite of mine would be Grisaia no Kajitsu, who just recently came into that position. Speaking of Osu!, we have a topic here on the general forum that might interest you.
  10. Josiah Bartlett from the West Wing. Greg House from House, M.D. Couch McGuirk from Home Movies. Castiel from Supernatural. Not exactly cherry picked, but they were the first to immediately spring to mind.
  11. I'm not exactly sure what you're specifically looking to hone in on in respects to something similar to Katawa Shoujo. Grisaia no Kajitsu takes place in a dormitory with heroines that are each suffering from their own traumas. Narcissu has a sickly protagonist. Konosora is fairly light heated and also takes place in a dormitory.
  12. Welcome to the community. Enjoy the time you spend here and I hope to see you around.
  13. I finished up Amane's route a couple of days ago on GnK. The only route I have remaining is Michiru's, though I think I'll finish up what I have left of Koichoco before I move onto it.
  14. I purchased Akiba's Trip today. I haven't played much more than an hour, but I appreciate the absurdity. I'm not sure if I'll end up getting a full $40 value out of it, but I expect it should at least be fun.
  15. I don't really have a distinctive taste when it comes to music. More recently I've been listening to a lot of blues rock and folk, though. Particularly Beth Hart. If you feel like it, you can read through a similar topic here and find a number of answers to your question that will give you a strong impression of how the musical tastes fall around here.

  21. For some reason I let myself get distracted by Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate yesterday. I like it quite a bit so far as something light, but I know I'm going to hate myself when I finish up the content in the partial patch. Apart from Majikoi, this is the only other game I've started playing before the full release is out. I'm going to start back up on Angelic Howl tonight and move onto Michiru's route sometime later this week.
  22. Welcome to the community.
  23. Having just hit the flashback, Yuuji says beforehand that So I'd assume it's at least that long, if not a little more.
  24. It would certainly be more convenient to just play it on an emulator. It's not hard to replace the battery though, given you already having a replacement.
  25. I'm not quite convinced, but I can appreciate the point. Particularly on the hospital thing. A lot of the reasoning presented by Yuuji's company and the Irisu clan is pretty bare bones, so I can concede that the hospital point could very well be reasonable. The other point I'm still firmly dubious on, but I'll leave alone since I'm going to continue with Amane route right now. I am eager to at least get to her flashback tonight. With the exception of Makina, the game has met my expectations and has been a joy. If Amane is a good as I am hoping it will be and Michiru is at least solid, I expect this game to fall within my top 3 VNs of all time.
