  1. Wow, such thread even exists?
  2. Yay, more fandiscs.
  3. >original anime Stating adaptations are any better. Protip: they aren't. Popularity ≠ instant success.
  4. Triggered? I basically wrote 'Whatever we get on the west, be it fan-made translations or official releases, are mostly bland and weak; best games remain untranslated.' It's starting to change, but we'll propably have to still wait quite a bit to nab those cherries from the top of japanese eroge industry.
  5. If you have a more or less finished script (either that or a finished first draft, if you wrote it as prose), it's more likely you'll be able to assemble your own team, considering the story you want to tell is enough to pick interest. It's also easier to crowdfund such a project, since having a story to tell is already half of a success. Don't even think of sending your manuscript to professional companies, as they will most likely reject it without even reading it. Also, remember - when it comes to crowdfunding projects - there's a high chance people will be more willing to support you, when you already have something to show off; that is, a working tech demo, alpha version or at least a reel, mockups and assets. Don't even try to crowdfund a bare story, as people won't be willing to support it, no matter how good it is.
  6. Almost EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. officially or fan-translated visual novel out on the market.
  7. Take your time, you deserve it
  8. People are spoiled nowadays, take everything for granted and think everything in the world should be available to them for free.
  9. >Looks at the title >Reads it as "Gothic Delusion"; hype levels increase, nonchalantly skips rest of the title >After a while reminds himself it can't be true >Reads the title again >Sees it's actually something else Nontheless, it's still nice to see someone working on this. It's been a while since I last heard about this project, haha.
  10. Lurkers don't do that, silly
  11. Seems preety decent, but still not as fast as the ones in the anime, out of obvious reasons. In overall it's an expensive model toy with additional functionality, you'd more likely put on a stand to show off. If anything, I still prefer quality ASG replicas.
  12. B-but... does it shot? Jokes aside, knowing our current tech limitations, I doubt this will be even slightly bit similiar to the 'real' thing, seen in the anime. 200 LEDs don't mean a thing, either. Also, do they have any idea how much actual power will be required to power all this up? 200 LEDs, a couple servo-motors, built-in chipset with voice replay and sound recognition... oh boy. >30 minutes in eliminator mode >799$ for standard edition No videos, no photos of an actual product, nothing. This must be the best cashgrab, ever
  13. I don't want to spoil your fun, but Father's Day is on 23rd, at least here. You silly western europeans
  14. You should be more specific, tho; writing 'first vn' is a bit of a stretch (unless you want to troll, that is)
  15. If this will happen, your game will be the first EVN that uses Live2D to it's fullest potential - something definitely worth giving a try. Good luck.
  16. >July 15 >PS4 Why not a PC version? Are they mad?
  17. Gorgeous artwork, that's all I can say now. I will definitely give this a try.
  18. Visual novels were a mistake
  19. Not only Quartett!'s; Almost all of Littlewitch games (especially later ones) had gorgeously built GUI's. Another good example would be Rondo Leaflet (aka the Suffering of Steward Matthew ).
  20. Wanko wasn't bad; it's issue was the oversaturation of sex content and plot conviniency for fetish-fueled writing. If you're able to get past all that bullshit, it's actually a preety heartwarming tale about relationships between humans and animals as our pets.
  21. You should look into doujin games; there's quite a few short vn's without h-content out there. My guess is anything by Utage or ZigZag could be a decent pick. They make preety good games, although some of ZigZag's vn's were already TL'ed in the past.
  22. I don't think you'll find anything even remotely interesting, that would fit those criteria If you don't have any ideas/plans yet as of what to translate, I don't think it's even worth trying; you're more likely to give up midway through.
  23. It's more likely a cross-over, considering Mink was formed by ex-Elf members.
