Satan frequents Fuwanovel. I have proof

You're not the only one. Does that make us ero bros? -
I'm so incomprehensible... I actually still have my Gadgett Trial on the HDD. I'm not entirely sure how your folders look, but originally the folder with save states was simply called "save" and it's located within the game's main folder (as in: "X:\...\KumasanTeam\GADGETT\save"): I finished Gadgett Trial as well and luckily, I used to save on every mission. I can upload you a working save state file; it won't entirely fix your problem, but you might see whether it accepts overwriting. Grab it here. Just pick any of the files (each of them corresponds to a mission in numerical order, I'm only missing saves from mission 3, 7 and , place them in the "save" folder and check if that helps.

The final leap towards virtual reality - Oculus rift at E3 2015

And where's fun in that? pfft -
Hooray to (supposedly) more useful stuff, I guess?

> expecting meaningful story And all that from an SS-tier game, that was made on a whim: I really wish they would stop churning those games out like that, or at least polish them more before release. I guess SP decided to pick this one up out of sheer sympathy for the devs, which doesn't necesarilly mean well for their future wellbeing as a publishing company. Right now I'm not even surprised anymore why certain people feel doubt towards SP's current methodology. If they will continue to just release every single indie vn under their banner without any sort of quality control, they can bid farewell to establishing better contacts with the japanese industry. I'm really glad they're supporting the western indie scene so much, but it's about time they start to raise some higher standards and expectations before plastering their name all over those vn's.

Wow, Ryukishi07 finally came to his senses. Too bad his protagonists still look like carbon copies of Keiichi. You won't even have to play it; it's going to get adapted into anime preety soon.

Sekai Project depends on crowdfunding entirely too much
Narcosis replied to douggle's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Let's see: Memory's Dogma Human Reignition Project My, my, that's really a lot (!) to consider SP might fail just from the sheer ammount of work they have to do. Aside from that, they're both promising games in terms of storyline and Memory's Dogma looks way better than most vn's often published by all those well-established japanese studios. I nearly forgot about Clannad, but I doubt there's a lot to do, since most of their work is already done for this moment. I really can't find a single reasonable point why this thread was brought into existence. -

I'd like to reiterate - No one is scamming the consumers. You can opt-out at any given time before the campaign ends. Every tier reward is considered a gift for backing up the project. The ass-high tiers aren't aimed at your average user, but rich collectors; if they only feel content, they have every single right to back up the project; it's their money and their own choice and you have no fucking right to complain about it. OH MY GOD, THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Again, that's not how the market works. Everything is decided by simple laws of supply and demand. The higher the tier, the lower the supply; it's only normal the prices will be a lot bigger than the mainstream tiers; in return, those backers are guaranteed with the right for uniqueness - from things like gifts from the developers, talks with their favourite guy from the team or classy collectibles. Those tiers will be always out of the reach for the majority of backers anyway, that's why they are considered special. You can't use the argument that a "a single, original picture done and signed by a well-known lead artist isn't even worth as much". It will be worth as much, as market decides and certain people (like die-hard fans or collectors) will pay a lot to get it; not to even mention it's actual value skyrockets afterwards - just because - it's something unique. In the end, it's them getting a lot more from the campaign, not the devs "scamming" poor collectors or backers. The fact a finished game might come out later at a lower price doesn't make the devs scammers, either. Again, backers are not partners in business; it's a form of patronage, where backers can pay as much as they want to; they're considered supporters and that feeling alone is often enough for a lot of those people to feel happy about. Aside from that, most games that have been backed up through kickstarter prove to remain superior over a standard digital version, released afterwards. It's also cool to have your name included in the credits, isn't it? I'm not even sure anymore, whether you're trolling on purpose, or just got lost in thoughts. I have yet to see a single indie game with such overall quality and usage of Live 2D like Nekopara. From what I saw, everyone praised Toko for it's worldbuilding and storyline. WEE is good vn as well and there's a couple of great looking, interested projects coming up. I'm really happy SP is actively helping western and japanese indies to appear on the market, progressively building the western scene; much more than FUWA or any other group or company ever did. Future doesn't lie on bigshots, it's build by thousands of small, hardworking people, who actually provide the foundation. SP was never big, nor had the huge funds, nor ever said anything about making thing the "professional" way, other publishers do. -

Narcosis replied to douggle's topic in Visual Novel Talk
People entirely miss the point behind crowdfunding and sites like KS or Indie GoGo. It's a pre-sale. You're never a partner in business; you're a supporter of a product, that doesn't exist yet. From a dev standpoint, in a way, it's what it is - begging for money but as long as it will get certain things done, there's no reason to cry over lost dignity. They sell their ideas and it's consumer's own goddamn choice whether they want to support them, or not. You don't want it/don't like it? Don't pledge. You don't have the slightest idea what are you talking about. The sole fact not a single of their campaigns flopped (as opposed to so many smart-ass developers trying to do everything by themselves) is more than enough to warrant their trustworthiness. In the end, everything depends on the developers themselves; SP is only lending them a helping hand with funding and public relations. It's the same as having a fine sponsor or being a part of a brand; it makes you a lot more credible and it's SP's role to stretch the potential response. This isn't "bad business", it's playing the right cards at an appropriate time to win the market. -
Doesn't matter, did support the devs ( ̄ー ̄)

Sekai Project depends on crowdfunding entirely too much
Narcosis replied to douggle's topic in Visual Novel Talk
And what makes you to judge that and on what basis? I've never seen so many smart-asses. First you complain there are no TL's at all and no there's no games and everything is unobtainable. Then you complain, when a trusted publisher is doing too well and publishes way too many visual novels, because KS/business ethics? Logic. In case of SP, KickStarter involves little to no risk, it's only reasonable they took it as an advantage; other publishers like JAST or MG are way too mainstream and rely on different types of funding, if anything it's only their own fault for not using KS as a potential monetary source. KS is preety much an awesome way to fund projects nowadays and help small developers to appear on the market, as long as the company behind it can be trusted and knows how to handle the campaign. SP isn't and never was a big company to start with, nor does it manage huge funds. KS isn't only a crowdfunding platform anymore, it's a very optimal system that allows developers and publishers to deliver certain products in a pre-sale way, they wouldn't be able to deliver in any other case because the potential risks involved are often way too big to justify potential profits. It allows them to bypass a lot of nasty shit often that often accompanies the publishing process, or self-publish stuff. SP is a company that offers help in publishing with funding and PR, while devs can focus solely on actual game development. In case of SP, they can basically probe the market for interests, put up a potential product and it's up to people whether they want to support it, or not. In the end, everything that lands on KS was long before welcome by the consumers who want those things published/finished in the first place. As long as they keep delivering quality content, working along with devs and building a network of trust and possibilities, the fact they use KS in way that allows them to expand rapidly makes any ethics involved completely irrelevant, as it doesn't impact anyone else. After all, they've been doing good job, they made a lot of people happy and don't plan to stop. It might be their strategy to build up their title base with small indie releases, while they're preparing for bigger business deals. After all, they managed to do something both Jast and MG haven't been able to do for years. Don't expect them to sleep on money, though; they're simply smart and know how to use everything internet has to offer in order to fulfill their plans. As long as everyone's content, I couldn't care less if a bunch of people thinks what they do is unethical, simply because they learned to use KS to the fullest potential. -
Whatever happens, as long as you support the developers, it's okay.

They hate us ̄ー ̄ But then, whole EN playerbase doesn't even make 1/3 of the total playerbase. The least popular characters are Hanayo and Honoka. Eli and Nozomi are somewhat popular, but not as much as Kotori. Rin is somewhere in the middle along with Maki, while the top is constantly occupied by Nico and Umi. It doesn't always stay the same though, since popularity tends to vary with card quality; at times competition can get preety intense for other girls, too! The last event is a perfect example - it wasn't that hectic like the previous Rin events, simply because a lot of people didn't consider the design decent enough; Rin fans will always aim for the top, but a lot of players resigned from T2 (I myself consider the unidolized design a lot cuter than the idolized one). As for the general perception, our tastes vary a lot from those of the japanese. They consider Hanayo, Kotori and Honoka to be a lot cuter than we do and their choices often differ wildly depending on circumstances (Nico is very popular all the time, while Eli, Rin and Maki won the pools before; Umi isn't that popular at all, while Hanayo remains a lot more popular than most of other girls). Speaking of Honoka, she's rarely popular - it may be because of the fact she's considered a very generic character and same goes with Nozomi and Umi, who plays the role of a traditional japanese "hime-sama"; japanese tend to shift their interests towards characters with exotic traits; they are attracted to foreigners and european culture, hence why they like Eli and Maki so much. ... At least I got the new fairy tale Rin... ...Rin... you like me very much, do you? Please, don't ever leave me alone...

Internet. Serious business. People nowadays are becoming way too paranoid in terms of internet security. The truth is that a vast majority of average users can feel relatively safe, no matter the circumstances; they aren't the target of thiefs, hackers or any organisations and will never be. I always found the idea to store sensitive personal data on the net ridiculous. Shit like FB, G+ or any other crap sites storing and manipulating that data in massive ammounts can never feel secure, no matter how good protection mechanisms they implement. I always stored my passwords in a personal notebook and only my family knows about it, in case something could happen. It's the only way to ensure maximum safety on the internet.

Another event, another reward~ Following Nosebleed's footsteps, I decided to log my playthrough, just in case anyone would be interested to see how much (or actually how little) is required to get the event girl idolized and nab decent prizes. I haven't skipped any daily playthroughs, although progress was kind of sloppy since I spent a lot of time outdoors; I propably lost a share of LP for not paying constant attention when the gauge replenished. Batman black flies are to blame for this. [Note my current rank is 153 and I'm past 100LP - 104LP, to be precise. In short - 4 EXP songs and a single easy song when you're over; if you don't want to waste LP, that is] Summary: Stones at start: 37Stones used: 7Stones obtained: 6Daily Stones: 2Special reward: 5Level UPs: 2 (aka two free stones)End result: 43 stones At the moment, it's really easy to keep up with most events, even when you're left behind a bit. KLab is constantly stretching the cutoffs for event prizes and the current one was at 4500. However, this was a Rin event and I actually felt the pressure that forced me to use those 2-3 stones in the beggining, just in case. Rin is mildly more popular than the rest of LL gals in EN version (I think only Umi and Nico top her, although it depends on card quality - at times it gets preety intense for other girls, too!). I guess it wouldn't be actually possible to get that Rin without spending stones - in the end I was past the maximum limit and had to spend more stones to position myself safely. Last 24h were unusually peaceful this time. That preety much concludes my thoughts on this event. I'll definately fight for the Eli and aim at least for T2 as well. Nose, pls I wasted more than 25k FP saved specially for the end and only got the newest Kotori. No second N, either (No FC, cause I laughed my ass off throughout the entire round; it's kinda hard to tap n' shit) I'd love to bury my face in Nozomi's ample bosom. Like, seriously and she likes to hug so much. Remember: TITS ARE LIFE
