So, Ushio to Tora... kind of a 90s anime feel with better animation. Apparently it's based on a 90s manga, so... good job capturing that. Enjoying the character dynamics, particularly between Ushio and Tora. Asako is looking to be a violent tsundere type, but I don't actually find her annoying so far, so I'm fine with it. Ushio himself is a bit different: he's very athletic, but prefers the arts, as his choice in school clubs reflects. Not sure how relevant that will be to the story, but I thought it was worth noting. Too soon to tell on the action, as the first episode barely had any of that at all. I'll probably stick with this one unless it takes a turn for the terribad.

Okay, I was not expecting Shimoneta to be that funny. Less ecchi physical gags and more hilariously well framed dirty jokes. Think this one's going to be a keeper. /r/anime/ is already starting to call this show "V for Vagina".

Yup, Charlotte definitely has me hooked so far, which is kind of surprising since I wasn't a huge fan of Angel Beats. It'll be interesting to see where they go with the MC as far as character development goes.

Exactly the opposite. With Shenmue 3 there was a lot of hesitation past the initial E3-hype fueled surge for people to pledge because they mistakenly believed that Sony was going to be footing the bill, and that the Kickstarter was just being used to gauge interest. The truth turned out to be that Sony is not contributing to the game's development, so Shenmue 3 will do as well as the Kickstarter allows, as Ys Net is a relatively fragile independent development studio. Now can we stop talking about Shenmue in a Muv-Luv focused topic on the visual novel forum? I'd rather not have this thread turn into an argument about that game, as a lot of people that don't actually follow the news on the subject just end up talking out their ass and spreading misinformation. More News: Kickstarter happening Late August to Early September; Sounding more confident about anime series and movies There was also a tweet about other VN localizations, but nothing really new or specific.

Classroom Crisis - Too soon to tell, but it's at least mildly entertaining. Apparently not going to be a SoL Romcom as previously thought according to the official Twitter account. Oh, and apparently even the Japanese are aware of Texas Succession jokes... EDIT: Never mind. Apparently that's Chile's flag. My mistake.

Confession: I don't really know what my life is going to be like in 6 months. I don't socialize much, by choice. I only speak to my family a couple times a year at most(I recently learned that my sister remarried through a Facebook update). I have a few friends here, but I only actually spend time with them once every couple weeks to play D&D. I have another friend that I actually go out and do things with every month or so. It works out for me because my job puts me in constant contact with people, so it's nice to have some solitude. All three of my friends are leaving island at the end of the year. As I've said, I don't socialize much, but I've never not socialized at all. I've always had a small circle of friends that I hung out with on occasion. I'm not really anxious about being alone, but I am somewhat worried that I'll just never come back from being a full time recluse. I'm pretty easy to get along with, never get offended, and am pretty approachable overall, but I never really get an urge to seek out companionship, so most of my friends throughout my life have been people that have sought me out. Even then I turn people down most of the time unless I find them particularly interesting. I love conversation, but it's not particularly common for me to find someone that is on the same wavelength as me, so I typically get bored talking to most people. I'm not sure whether I want to try to find friends or just let things go as they will.

I'm picky, and I don't get lonely(I currently socialize 2 days a month with friends). I was pretty clear on my profile what sort of woman I'm interested in, and none of the people who responded had profiles that indicated that they were particularly interesting. Some of them had fairly high match percentages, but had pretty barren or typical I-want-to-start-a-family profiles, plus some of them were in China or the Philippines, and I'm super not interested in a long distance relationship.

I set up an OK Cupid account, made a pretty detailed profile, answered over 600 questions, and then promptly ignored everyone who sent me a message or "liked" my profile. Does that make me a kuudere?

...it allows me to buy food, the second best known cure for hunger. I don't want anybody else. When I think about you...

False. In fact, I derive most of my powers from it. The next person has been to a geek hobby convention(anime, comic, gaming, etc)

So far... Gangsta: Okay, we've definitely got a solid pick for violence this season. Kind of interesting having a deaf protagonist. Okusama ga Seitokaichou: Well... that certainly was... yeah...

She has no mouth and she must moe? 7/10

Actually, I'm pretty optimistic here. My big takeaway from the responses on Twitter and Tumblr so far is that they are paying attention to the community, and are trying to put out a product that we want. Hell, they're responding positively to requests for a DRM-free release already. That's pretty big on it's own. I think it's a pretty safe bet that we'll be getting the uncut versions once the dust has cleared.
