That reminds me of the time when NIS America launched its European store and gave Danganronpa 2 LE a price tag of 60 pounds... Nobody bought that of course, but people will still go out and buy PQ in droves.

This is not the first time Nintendo did this... The DSi was one such system, though it had an actual OS and an online store and internet connectivity and such so was a bigger improvement. It had more power too- the deal is, they didn't go around releasing exclusives for that. But now (especially Nintendo) fanboys practically bend over as long as they get "games"- because selling them for €35 (practically $70!) in Europe and such acts did not cost them anything. So they wanted to go big-time moneygrabber mode this time, and this thing is a mid-generation like the DSi: stuck between two proper generations. I won't be buying this(In ways more than one), all I will do about it is keep its pictures in my OneNote file where I gather pictures of cool gaming devices, like a gallery. If you have a 3DS already, I'd recommend you buy a Vita instead. Maybe that will be more enjoyable (definitely more affordable) to play JRPG's on.

Yes! Another Zero Escape fan will join our army (I recommend you play Virtue's Last Reward after that, it's my favorite game of all time. it might also help that it is the effing sequel to 999) I also recommend Danganronpa, use a PSP emulator at worst. I hope you have a Vita though, in that case, how to play VLR, DR1 and DR2 are both resolved. Edit: VLR is on 3DS and Vita. Danganronpa has a fan translation of the PSP version. Both Danganronpa games(DR1, DR2) have localized Vita versions.

At least at the beginning, I think that this "main hub" places for VN's should be editable and/or creatable by anyone. If we only have a few people working on preparing these pages, it will take forever. First, we open them to editing by anyone, and after enough VN's have been ported over to this system, the existing pages can be supervised and refined accordingly. I am not sure merchandise index is needed, however. I think current VN pages are usually made so that first time owners have an understanding of what the VN is about, no? In that case, merchandise is not a "must" since merchandise is made for the fans of the VN/series. Also, this "hub" structure might mean an infrastructure change in Fuwa I think... though I have close to no knowledge of web design so do not quote me on that.

Emulator is a last resort, but it still works fine. Nobody sells 999 over here, so I emulated it, but I'll buy it soon.

Puzzles and the conservations that take place are worth taking a look. Maybe even checking a second time. Maybe a third time... Maybe a fourth time... Let's just say you'll REALLY miss the flowchart.

You aren't alone on that, 999 was my first VN (followed by VLR, which was followed by Ever17 being my first "conventional" VN...)
