  1. You did. Correction: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors The only reason I can approve this is because if you read 999 first your expectations will be too high for E17.
  2. I am currently deciding if I should go through the torture of MLE in the summer holiday or should I finally get on with Never7. I find myself quickly approaching the second choice.
  3. No, their hearts are the size of loli busts (;¬_¬)
  4. I'd say coincidence and/or bad timing, the discussion I had with WinterSachi was probably what that post was directed at. Well, it is a discussion about moments in Ever17 that you just have to see for yourself and would be spoilers if read in plain text, hence the spoilers. I'd say we are just respecting that a lot of people who read this thread might not have read Ever17 yet, and they have the right to learn what happens by themselves. "Imagining we are whispering in public" is probably just a misinterpretation on Palas' part. Nothing worth worrying too much over.
  5. Welcome to the forums! All I can recommend is that you read 999, for now.
  6. I think
  7. Voted temporarily for 7. Who knows if we have two runner-ups?
  8. Where is my Sora in number 7? :<
  9. BF3 is not something I'd learn how to hex edit for.
  10. I guess I'll go game by game here. Bioshock (all three): Dead Space (all three): System Shock (both): Left 4 Dead 2: While playing with friends, becoming the Tank and fucking up all four Survivors in 10 seconds. Other priceless moments I forgot about.
  11. I do not have a writer I hate, probably due to me having read less than 20 (maybe 10) VN's so far. However, as pointed out by someone on the vast realm of the internet(I think it was VLR or Ever17 board on GameFAQs), Kotaro Uchikoshi reuses his twists in his VN's. Anyone who has read both is probably having an "Eureka!" moment right now. Actually, it is to a degree that reading #2 of the VN's tagged above made me borderline unable to enjoy the #1. Hint: The #1 VN was also known and praised mostly for its true route and its twists. (As a side note, if you have not read these VN's, I'd suggest you read #2 first, the twist is far more effective in that one.) Do not get me wrong, I LOVE Uchikoshi (he opened an English Twitter account just for his Western fans, follows fan projects closely and is an overall great guy) but even he himself admits to this: He says that he did that because too small of his fan base would have read the #1 VN before reading #2. I hope that if ZE3 happens it does not include twists from his other games. Reusing twists is lazy, anticlimactic and annoying, even if it will come embedded with a bazillion new mindfucking turns.
  12. I loved 1, but that's because of Sora. I like how the theme is Ever17, but that's it. 1,2,7 and 8 are my favorites, I'll be happy if any of them wins.
  13. There are few officially translated console (I'd say the OP meant both handhelds and home consoles when they said "consoles", let's leave it at that and not derail the thread) VN's, but the ones that are there... Oh man. Zero Escape and Danganronpa is all I can say. My current view on handheld VN's: 3DS is borderline nonexistent in the VN department, Vita is only going strong on JP-only ports and Danganronpa (first arrived in February, the second is coming early September). As a side note, VLR is out for these two consoles only and it is hands down the best game I have ever played. DS is strong on JP side of things as far as I know, but even if it didn't, it has 999... PSP probably has the biggest japanese VN catalogue of all handhelds: Corpse Party, Danganronpa (PSP version, PSV versions are remakes actually), Infinity series' ports, etc.
  14. Well, from the top of my head, "The Walking Dead", "Hotline Miami", "Battlefield 3" and as stated above, Bandicam do not work. OS is Windows 8.1 English. I play many Western games too, y'know. ^^
  15. I am pretty sure I am not the only person that needs to switch between Western locale and JP locale regularly and having to restart your PC over and over again is both annoying and inconvenient. Well AppLocale exists for that. However, some VN's do not work with that. I do not know if this is something exclusive to Muv-Luv, but it does not work with AppLocale(AL from now on). I think that we should make a list of those VN's that refuse AL, for the sak e of convenience and maybe, just maybe, a bit less clutter in the troubleshooting forum. Are there many VN's with this characteristic? If you know any (translated ones?), would you mind posting them down below so that we can make a list? I'll start it off: Muv-Luv
  16. What about you do it like this: Say, there are 3 open positions: TL, Edit, and QC. There'll be one tag for each, and: 2 or more positions available: Green 1 Position Available: Yellow No Positions Available: Red/Grey Color coding would mean there would be less clutter and no need to click on the tags. For 2+ spaces, it could be done in the form of "TL'ers: 2/5" (i. e. There were 5 positions available, but only 2 spaces are left.)
  17. I think artstyles are important. Especially if the game is trying to build a unique atmosphere, artstyle (and music) can make or break a VN. Particular bits of art I liked(contains actual spoilers): Remember11: Steins; Gate: Ever17: Danganronpa: Umineko:
  18. Virtue's Last Reward is out for PS Vita as well, it is not only for 3DS. You should edit that under 999's "read these if you liked this:..." section. Otherwise, good job!
  19. I started reading Muv-Luv Extra... I do not even understand. I do not understand anything.

    1. Ever17

      Ever17

Why you not start from beginner of this series?

  20. Nice! I remember seeing you streaming this
  21. I think I might be too... not sure though, checked for confirmation, awaiting a reply.
  22. What matters is if you are happy. If you are content, and since you are not leaving Fuwa, I am content as well. I do not have any other opinion on the subject (nowhere near enough information), but I appreciate this decision, and I appreciate you for it, Steve.
