Confession: I really am tempted to leave America for Canada. Mom's having issues with kidney stones and she can't get a single doctor to help her since medicaid can't cover it. Seriously, we can afford to give corporations massive tax breaks and spend an enormous amount of money on war, but we can't afford to provide good healthcare benefits for poor people. Man, fuck America.

Vision of Aurora Borealis - viva Iceland.
Kenshin_sama replied to Okarin's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I went ahead and bought the VN, although I don't plan on reading it till the CGs are added. I enjoyed what I played from the demo and can't wait to see the finished version. Best of luck to you! -
Mine's from Rurouni Kenshin. It was my favorite anime before I started watching it online, and it's still one of my favorites to this day. In some ways, Kenshin shaped who I am today. His pacifist ideology is inspiring to me, and it's something I'll always remember him fondly for.

Oh god, I don't ever keep track of my hours lol. But if I had to pick a few that I distinctly remember putting a lot of hours into, it'd be Final Fantasy 10, Morrowind, and World of Warcraft. Can't count the number of times I replayed FFX and Morrowind, and WoW pretty much became my life for two years. I haven't been very dedicated to games in the last few years though.

They sold me on the goth loli. There have been quite a few card games coming up lately, but this is the only one I've been interested in. I'm gonna have to wait till the Steam version comes out though since my phone gets way too hot playing games.

Damn, you beat me to it! Well, I think the new OP is good too. Re:Zero kinda pulled me out of my hiatus, so it's the only 2016 anime I've watched, lol.

Yeah, I've been on Pixiv for a little while lol.

Gurren Lagann spoiler. -
I plan on getting Disgaea, Undertale, 100% Orange Juice, and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift this time around. The first 3 seem pretty interesting to me, and I know what to expect a little with BlazBlue since I already played its prequel.

Feel good slice of life shows.
Kenshin_sama replied to NowItsAngeTime's topic in Anime/Manga Recommendations
Rom-coms can be SoL. It depends more on the setting than anything else. You are right though, Nisekoi isn't slice of life. I'd hate to think of living in a world where the yakuza was part of everyday life, lol. Not really sure what's generally considered feelgood, but I suppose if you don't mind some drama along the road, Toradora and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo are anime I would consider feelgood. If you'd rather watch something on the more positive end of the emotional spectrum, K-on and Acchi Kocchi are really solid anime too. I especially enjoyed Acchi Kocchi for how adorable Tsumiki and Io were. :3 -

Well, Majestic Prince was decent-ish. Plot's kinda standard and uninteresting and the characters were pretty much the same. Kinda disappointing considering how it had the same writer and staff as GetBackers. The mecha fights were really good though, so at least it held up on that end. Probably not worth watching unless you're hardcore into mecha. Kinda decided to drop Heavy Object at episode 10. Gotta hand it to Kamachi for once again coming up with a unique premise to set his world in, but I'm just really not enjoying the anime that much. Could be a problem on the adaption's end, not really sure. The action segments are pretty exciting and interesting, though I can't say I like the characters or the story that much. Because of my general lack of interest, it was a chore to stay focused on the lengthy dialogue. Jitsu wa Watashi wa is basically everything I love and hate about harems. Affable cast, hilarious shenanigans, misunderstandings abound, and enough blush faces to last you a lifetime. But, as with literally every harem I've watched besides Shuffle, the romance goes unresolved. What's even worse is that Shiragami and Kuromine actually could have made my top 20 pairings list. But in spite of all the indications that the pairing was gonna pull through, it didn't. It maintained its charade until the last moments of the final episode, and it ends with a massive slap in the face for anyone hoping to see a resolution. Gripes aside, there were some overly cute moments between the the MC and Shiragami, and I did end up laughing at the general absurdity of its exaggerated comedy. Wasn't a complete letdown.

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
Kenshin_sama replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
I made a recent purchase on Amazon and they gave me a promo code for some kind of item in Final Fantasy XIV. I don't have any plans on buying this game, so I'm giving it away. Send me a PM if you want it. Edit: It's been claimed. -

As far as songs and character designs go, Gumi is my favorite Vocaloid. I came across the pic for the avatar when I played Setsuna Trip on Osu and made it into an avatar (Kaguya helped me out with a better crop too).

Morality Online: How much do IRL morals apply in a game?
Kenshin_sama replied to babiker's topic in General Discussion
Really depends on what you consider right or wrong. If you think it's the wrong thing to do IRL, it won't be any different online. To be fair, there is some logic to feeling differently in that scenario. When players participate in PvP, they should have a full understanding of what they have to lose. Whether they want to take that gamble or not is up to them, but that shouldn't be considered stealing. The person you traded with made a minor slip with his transaction and lost a lot because of it. It's kinda like the difference between taking advantage of a loophole in a trade agreement and winning a game of poker. Again, what you consider wrong is still entirely up to you.
