  1. Leaves a bit to be desired, but not too bad. 7/10
  2. This game gets points for realism, but that might be a detractor for many. The charm of entertainment media is that you can experience things you normally wouldn't be able too and without all the effects that would normally come with it. In life, whether you make a minor slip, a major mistake, or a bad decision that can be fixed with a better one, your choices will have effect. To those who want to embrace reality at a different angle, this can be a nice game to play. But as with many other forms of non-mainstream entertainment, it will only be attractive to a particular niche. As someone who has never played this kind of game before, I'd be more than willing to give it a try. I do enjoy realism to some extent and I always welcome the opportunity to try something new (unless it's stupid).
  3. TFW you read when twice.
  4. Urgh, there went my post about Mabinogi. Oh well. >.< But hey, I'm still enjoying the heck out of this game. Every day is a whole new discovery, and I love the variety of things you can do here. The way you train skills for even the non-combat skills is so much fun. And with the way it's structured, you can very easily play a whole bunch of classes with just one character in this process called rebirth. Yesterday I started putting a little more work into commerce. The activity is really amusing in its own way. You're pretty much using a unique currency (Duscats) that is separate from the main one, and you build onto that by making deliveries between towns. The more you make, the more you're able to trade. Eventually you'll be able to make enough to upgrade transport methods so you can deliver stuff faster. I have to applaud Mabinogi for its uniqueness. I can't think of a single other game like it.
  5. Yeah, that shortcut is universal for all mainstream browsers. Not sure about the less popular ones, but I can't imagine a lot of people using them. Do note that the shortcut method will delete all of your cookies and log you off of everything. If you want to keep that from happening, use remove individual cookies (this'll be worded differently on browsers other than FF) instead. You wanna look under settings -> privacy, click whatever you need to for the cookies list, and then type "fuwanovel" to filter out the cookies that don't pertain to this site.
  6. Why isn't that cat chasing the mouse?
  7. Confession: I've actually never had one. I don't know how, but I'm not asking about it~
  8. Happy birthday, Ceris!
  9. I guess I'll re-request this. Darn rollback. ;_; A starry sky reflected in water (and yes, still with the sky visible).
  10. Having Spidey Senses would be pretty neat. Especially for someone like me who is oblivious to everything.
  11. Ooh, I like that. 9.5/10
  12. Play it, dude. I'm currently on my 2nd playthrough of The Witcher 1, and I love the heck out of it. Considering how it's the least popular game in the series, the one you have now should be exceptional. When I don't have problems sleeping, I can sleep through a hurricane.
  13. Eh, I guess Penguindrum did have style, but I didn't care for it that much. I guess I couldn't appreciate it because of how annoying the characters were. From what I watched before dropping, NGE visuals were kinda standard at the time. Even Rurouni Kenshin looked better, lol. But then again, the only studio I can think of that did a bang-up job with its art and animation in the 90's was Ghibli (I'm sure there are more, but I don't know).
  14. Eh, I'm fine with what Charlotte's doing. The only time I care about an anime taking time to pick up is when it has nothing of value to appreciate in the earlier episodes (like NGE and Mawaru Penguindrum). Even something as simple as a pleasing aesthetic, an indulging soundtrack, or a quirky character cast will keep me amused until it decides to do something a little more bold. Also, Maeda Jun's storytelling is a bit of an acquired taste. Sure, there will be people out there that just fall in love with his writing format right off the bat, but I've found my experiences with his writing to be progressively enriching the more I'm exposed to it. I appreciate the affability instilled in the characters he writes, I like how Maeda makes me feel in moments of dramatic development, and I always finish his stories with a lighter heart. To me, his characters are very easy to care for, and very easy to cry for. Sometimes these qualities that make his characters affable can only be grasped once you've read enough of his writing. You would probably see what I meant if you read Hibiki no Mahou (it's a great manga).
  15. There aren't that many occasions where I can afford to buy any kind of entertainment, but I do try to support companies like JAST and MG by buying their games. Because I'd rather invest my money in a company that brings VNs over to the west, I haven't purchased anything unlicensed yet. I also refrain from pirating licensed games as an incentive to buy them when I can.
  16. Things are finally picking up for me. I'm in an awesome mood today! :D

  17. Confession: I feel like derailing this thread by not posting something about MTG.
