Alright, looks like I'll be moving to Ohio in a few months. My initial impression of the guy being stupid turned out to be a little more on point than I thought it would be. He did crack 4 months ago, he cries when he drinks, and he's getting overly upset over small changes in the household. He still gets depressed over his mom who died 15 years ago. I mean, I get that it's hard to lose someone you loved so much, but it's happened to me twice and I'm fine. Apparently it upsets him that we prefer our own dishes over his rigid stuff, we like having the AC on most of the time, and my mom doesn't like having a bed that sags in the middle. He has a really good bed that was purchased too long ago, but it's a memory foam mattress with no solid base underneath it. When my mom tried to talk to him about it, he apparently snapped and things just got out of hand. Welp, lesson learned. Even if he's easy to connect with at first, never trust an idiot to not make irrational choices. At this point, we're staying together more as roommates than as a family. He's at least being generous enough to let us save money by living with him (which he kinda benefits from too). Yeah, things didn't work out as much as I hoped, but this is still a hell of a lot better than living with my aunt. I'm starting to wonder if there are any sane people left in the world... But that's fine, I'm still hopeful. Also, congratulations, LinovaA. I'm really happy for you!

Old-school coffee maker and a Nespresso machine. We get fresh pods for the latter maybe once a month, and they're all used up in about 2 days. I use to work for Keurig so we usually had quite a bit. Although sometimes only the decaf was available. :/

Oh thanks. Truth be told, that's mainly what I was going for! Good luck finding an ISP in the US that offers high upload. I don't think that even Comcast or TWC (our nation's two biggest ISPs) offer that. You gotta remember, we're a country that imports way more than we export. But don't worry, I still seed back. And just for the record, my ISP isn't TWC. It's a company that acquired some of their equipment.
-
Lol... That upload speed. No seed box for you. Also, I would worry a bit about downloads. Usually they say to get a 10/1 d/u relation and you are clearly well below that. Could very well be that your download is being gimped by low upload and you are getting a lower download because of it. Really? I'll have to look into that. I know close to squat about how connection speed works. I know it said 10 mbps upload on the deal I purchased, but I'm not aware of how it'd affect my download speed. I'm over in Palm Bay.

I'll never see the appeal in casual sex. ._. Anyways, I'd talk to her about it. If she's not willing to show concern over your well-being, she's not worth being with. I know it's sort of mean to think of it that way, but it's bad for your mental health to stay around people that make you upset (I can tell you from experience). If she doesn't sympathize with you, break up with her and find a woman that will. It's better to have sex with someone you can truly love from the bottom of your heart. So, about my move-in. It looks like I won't have much to worry about with the guy I moved in with. He's not the brightest bird in the bunch, but he's a really nice guy and surprisingly open-minded too. Despite him being a Donald Trump supporter, he was willing to listen to and agree with the points I made against him, and acknowledge what I said Bernie Sanders. He's also very easy to talk to when it comes to my own personal interests and complaints on life. I've never been able to do that with any of the other men my mom has recently gone out with. I am so stoked to be here now! At first, I was thinking "alright, I'll just put up with being here till I'm ready to move out", but now I feel like I don't have to wait another year to get that sense of relief. Also, yay for having a queen-sized bed now! It feels so nice to be able to spread your arms out for once. ^^ Oh and I have 170 mbps download speed now.

I know, I wouldn't last too long without it myself. But at least I'll have anime and games to keep me occupied until the cable guy comes in. I'll be packing my stuff up and heading out eventually. See ya later, guys.

Alright, so the place I'm moving to does not have internet. Thankfully, I just got $100 helping my uncle upgrade his computer so I can now afford to pay and have it set up tomorrow, rather than having to wait a week for my mom to get paid. Is there something up with the star alignment? This is the luckiest I've been in ages. Oh yeah, Flutterz, I was able to set up Windows 7 on that computer with 1gb ram installed. It was running very sluggishly at first, although it did get much faster after updating the OS and using readyboost. It's still pretty slow though. I was miraculously able to watch a youtube video on it. My uncle said he was only planning to use the computer as a backup, so he was happy with the results. I really wasn't expecting to make so much. o.o I think it was partially to help me out, cuz now I kinda wanna do this as a side job. Relevant video: Hidden Content To a Floridian, that kind of cold would be lethal. It looks like they still do. http://megaconvention.com/ I don't think I'll be able to do the fan event coming up this week, but how about the one in May?

Lies and slander! Yeah, it is. I was also kinda hoping for something like this to happen too. Now if only he was there before we put in our deposit for the apartment we were moving to initially, we wouldn't have to wait for a little while to get that money back. The $100 we spent on the application fee was a bitter loss as well... That could have gone towards my mobo and cpu upgrade! D: Actually, we've been in Florida since I was born. She lived in NY before I was born, and it was her boyfriend that moved down here some time ago. It was by sheer coincidence that he moved to to the city we were in. When my mom found out he was nearby via FB, they got together and decided to start dating. It's a pretty extraordinary turn of events now that I think about it. Supposedly, the room I'll be staying in is really big and for the 1st time in my life I'll be sleeping on a large bed on a regular basis. Oh, I didn't notice your location. Nice to see another Floridian around here! Maybe we can get together for a con or something. I haven't been to one ever, but that's mostly because I can't find anyone to go with and can't afford to travel long distance. Hit me up in a PM if you ever feel up to it. Although I was born in Florida, I have been to a couple states where it snowed. It was fun throwing snow balls around at first, lol, but the shoveling was pretty tedious. I'm happy to experience snow once, but I don't think I'll ever miss it. I do hate the summers here though. -.- Relevant image:

It's not entirely out of place. Square Enix isn't particularly exclusive to any one company and they have released some stuff for Nintendo consoles in the past. In a couple months, SE will be releasing an FF title for the 3DS (Source: http://na.square-enix.com/us/games/final-fantasy-explorers). I'm not sure if that date is for American release or whether or not it's already out in Japan, but that's beside the point anyways. But hey, I'm hyped. Not so much for Cloud, but for the possibility of Zach or Sephiroth being added to the game.
-
And wow, okay, I'm moving out tonight. That kinda came out of nowhere too lol. But anyways, my mom started dating an old friend she knew from New York (apparently New Yorkers like to move to Florida), and he has offered to let us live with him. I'm not sure how this is gonna go, my mom only dated him for a month and it's possible the guy's changed since she last knew him, but he seems like an alright person. At the very least, I can't see him being worse than my aunt. And if all goes well, I shouldn't have to deal with him for more than a year. I don't know if he has internet or not, and I'll be moving there tonight. If he does, I'll be on the next day. If not, it may be about a week or so for me to get situated with an ISP. Wish me luck, guys!

Confession: Zealty's helping me learn philosophy. Expect me to figure out the meaning of life soon.

Confession: I've been feeling pretty decent myself since yesterday. In one day I made $12 in store credit for doing a sweepstakes marathon. It's a small gain, but I think I may have found something I can kinda call a job now, lol. Making small bucks while aiming to win big is not too bad, especially since the whole thing resets daily. Some of the sweeps I've done involve winning a car and a bunch of other cool prizes. The store I'm getting credit for sells groceries too, so I can use it as a means to fulfill my basic needs and save money. I won't let myself get too hopeful for it, but I'd be set for a year if I won that car. This is a hell of a lot better than doing surveys. Oh, and my mom managed to find a job. Since we only have one car, me getting a job is completely out of the question now. That's why I turned to online work. Edit: And if anyone's interested, this is the website I've been going to. http://www.shopyourway.com/ I checked to make sure it's reputable. The site is owned by K-mart, which is a fairly big store in the US, so I'm not too worried. Only citizens of the US can participate.

Chrome Seriously don't understand why people don't keep track of their own releases and/or use an aggregator. I mean why would you go through 3 different parties when you really only need two or one max. I use Bato.to because they carry every non-licensed series and have a nice follow system when you sign up. Plus it's non inundated with ads and malware, like every other god damn aggregator. And they don't botch the quality in order to save up on bandwidth fees. It's a fantastic manga site.

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
Kenshin_sama replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
++ to this. I think it took me 3-4 tries to finally finish TWEWY. Got halfway through the DS version a couple of times, but my interest always wandered to something new and shiny. It wasn't until the iPad version that I managed to push my way through to the end. I've been playing Ocarina of Time for roughly 10 years, and I still haven't finished it. It'll have to wait till I get a new DS though. Next time I get into it, I might just cave and use a guide. I'm horrible at solving puzzles. -
And not a single one had the audacity to tell you. I'm not always observant enough to notice that kind of thing, but when I do, I don't keep it to myself. One time when I was in high school, I noticed a girl walking around with the back of her skirt up. While everyone else was looking away, laughing, or being creepy about it, I brought it upon myself to point it out. Sure, you could argue that it's embarrassing to bring up, but it's even worse to just leave it alone. We never met after that, but she did thank me.

There's a possibility that something's there, but you might not recall it or not realize it had an impact on you. For me, personally, I had a vague idea of what caused me to feel bad, although it took me a really long time to get a more clear picture. Thinking it over and talking about it with others helps. You made a very good choice posting about it here.

I'm the kind of guy that loves discovery and researching stuff. With EVE, I spend about as much time studying this game as I do actually playing it. I appreciate the change in pace from the usual 'go in and blow stuff up' that most other MMOs go for. With EVE, you're given a lot of freedom in what you do and the direction you want to go in. You start off building yourself up with your career of choice, and you invest time, effort, and finances into improving yourself at it. It's realistic in a sense that you benefit more from long-term planning than just simply winging it. There's also a pretty solid learning curve that not only serves to develop your career proficiency, but also comes with a great feeling of accomplishment whenever you complete difficult tasks. The steepness of that learning curve will mostly depend on your patience and attention to detail. If you can pick up on most things during your operations, and don't mind waiting a while for the big ships, you should be able to progress in the game smoothly. If not, think of this as a good opportunity for personal development. There are many aspects of life, and even gaming, that can be enhanced by these qualities. I'm pretty much sold on EVE. It's the first time in a while I've felt this level of immersion in an MMO. My first self-imposed challenge is to buy a plex before my trial runs out. Kinda have to anyways since I'm broke this month, and it'll be good practice to play this game with limitations. So far, I've managed to complete the Sisters of EVE Epic Arc with an Algos (Dagan was so hard to beat with 109 dps), and I'm currently running lvl 1 missions in preparation for when I have the skills to efficiently use a Vexor. Not sure if I'll reach 1B before my trial ends, but I'll keep trying!

Taking yourself out of your comfort zone is a double edged sword. It can either give you the fortune you desire, or it can fall apart and make you upset. As long as you continue to not make change in your life, nothing in your life will ever change unless you get lucky. But if there's one thing I've learned over time is that miracles are too rare to be relied on. If you want to succeed in life, you need to make goals for yourself and stick to them. Make a plan to meet your goals. If your plan doesn't work, change the plan, don't change your goals. Ambitious goals require a lot of time to meet them; you're never gonna amount to anything if all you do is change your mind. Make sure that what you pursue in life is the best possible course of action for you to take. If you're not sure what you want to do, think very long and hard about it. Thanks to the internet, you have nearly unlimited access to resources so that you can help you think about your life's ambition. Take your time to learn this; think about how much you can achieve over the course of your lifetime if you simply invest a few days, a week, or even a month of research into deciding on your goals. The potential is tremendous! Another thing you need to be careful of is letting your emotions get the better of you. By nature, human beings are very emotional. It can drive us to overcome physical limitations, inspire creativity, and to live by more than just practical means. At the same time, it can also create fear and depression. We let ourselves get overwhelmed by such emotions and fall into a state of laziness. Overcoming negative emotion is not an easy process, but in order for you to proceed with your goals, you need to learn to conquer your emotions and not let them take control of you. But if you find that you can't do it through your own efforts, seek help. In order to be able to overcome tough obstacles on your own, you need to be tough, and you need to be disciplined. The mind is a very complex thing, and not everyone is capable of being strong. In many cases, however, collective effort can accomplish so much more than individual effort. If you need encouragement to do what you need to do, find a friend who is willing to do it. Getting treatment from a mental health specialist can work wonders for improving your state of mind.

I don't mind the white that much. Bonus points for that glorious pose! 7/10

Yeah, that happened to me as soon as I started playing EVE. I've been jumping between games a lot lately, but I think I may actually stick with this for a while. Oh btw, I remember someone talking to me about Bernie Sanders some time ago. I take back everything I said about this election term being mediocre, this guy has some serious potential for being the leader the US desperately needs. He has my vote for sure. Anyone familiar with Family Guy? Seth MacFarlane is endorsing him too!
