  1. I'll miss you, Tiago. Hope the move works out well enough for you to come back soon.
  2. I've been playing the game since 03, and have been an off and on player since. Usually I'll play for like a year, quit, and come back in another year or 2. Last time I played, I did go for the hardcore ironman challenge, and made pretty solid progress on that (my total level was around 1200 I think). Not sure when I'll be playing it again, but for anyone interested, my main's Ahlor. My ironman is Metal Ahlor.
  3. Honestly, I took 2 years of Spanish just because it was required for graduation (you the same case? lol), and forgot almost all the basics once I was done with the classes. Learning Japanese would likely require more time than Spanish for English speakers, but I feel like I've had an easier time learning it. Might be because I'm more interested. But the key factor in learning is time. If you can find a source of motivation to keep your studies consistent, then you should be solid. My main problem was that I wasn't that motivated enough to study, but then I decided to download CGs and OSTs of untl'd games I was interested in.
  4. It's Kotori's route that unlocks Shizuru's. http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/958427-rewrite/faqs/68727 http://www.chaptercheats.com/cheat/pc/181586/Rewrite/unlocks/29050/ ^^^Lol, all good. Now that I think about it, having those unlock requirements would make more sense than the ones they put in (except I'd have Shizuru unlock Lucia).
  5. Confession: My study was at a long standstill once I tried to start learning grammar. I didn't even get to chapter 3 in Tae Kim's guide, and I felt kinda intimidated by both the page count and the information I was taking in. But just today I started to have a better grasp on the study material and I'll be reading the guide more earnestly. Dies Irae is also one of my motivations for learning Japanese. And I'll be getting into the habit of looking at CGs and listening to OSTs from that game to keep myself from stagnating.
  6. Eh, the main reason I recommended Shizuru before Lucia is because her route is more closely tied with Chihaya's (remember that scene at the end?). I can't remember the specifics, but I do also recall a few scenes in Lucia's route that would have been better if you read Shizuru's route first. It's not important in the grand scheme of things, but still a nice bonus.
  7. Watching Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase. <3 Shaft. It's not a particularly good anime, but it's fun if you like moe rom-coms with fantasy combat and a hint of weirdness. The OP is genius too.
  8. When I'm not in the middle of a common route, VNs are my favorite medium for immersion. When I am in the middle of a common route, it's my 3rd favorite (behind anime and LNs). The only exception is Majikoi (the common route was surprisingly fun to read).
  9. Trying to motivate myself to learn JP with Dies Irae OSTs. Seems to be working so far.
  10. I had mulled this over a bit while reading the VN, and it does look like the writers intended to have this game read in a particular order. To get the most from this game, I recommend Kotori > Chihaya > Shizuru > Lucia > Akane. Granted, it's really only important that you start with Kotori and finish with Akane, but it still enhances the experience to read the middle 3 in that order.
  11. Confession: I'm probably gonna go perma with this ava (or at least semi-perma). I was in the habit of changing mine a lot, but I feel nice with this one.
  12. Damn it, if this show continues to be as good as this opening episode, Jitsu wa Watashi wa might actually be a good rom-com. It does an awfully good job of building sympathy for the main heroine, Shiragami, and makes her to be a nice and affable character. It's pretty sad how she's the type to treasure social interaction, and yet has to keep her distance from others to keep her secret. The way the anime showcases her character is so refreshing; her reaction to Asahi wanting to be friends (lol, fail) was really nice. Only thing I'm worried about is how much Shiragami continues to develop due to this being a harem anime, but I get the feeling I won't be disappointed. So far, Jitsu wa has had a stronger first impression on me than anything else this season. Edit: Oh, and here's some screenshots of how adorable Shiragami is. Her seiyuu is surprisingly good too. o.o I haven't had the chance to hear Yuu Serizawa's voice that much in anime, but she pretty much nails it here.
  13. Yes. But it's okay, not all of us are born with good tastes. I feel for you.
  14. Confession: I discovered how amazing lemon water is. I'm actually not tired right now. Confession2: I don't like my avatar as much in black and white.
  15. It works nicely in the black and white situation. 7/10
  16. Damn BD marketing scheme. Meh, oh well, guess I'll be giving this a marathon once all the disks are out. At least Ushio to Tora was a nice watch. Nothing particularly stood out to me in the first episode, but Tora should keep me from getting bored, lol.
  17. Happy birthday, Shizu!
  18. I discovered a really cool website. Prepare to get Shafted.
  19. Charlotte is pulling my heartstrings with that imouto character. Her seiyuu is a little too high-pitched for my tastes, but she's adorable nonetheless. Can't wait for the feelsy stuff~ And wow, Symphogear GX is starting off with a bang! Kinda disappointed that Kirika or Shirabe didn't get into the action, but it was still a fun episode. The animation is getting better too; it actually feels like something up to par with Satelight's standard. The concert scene was so pretty. Teeku
  20. Ooh, nice, SP managed to catch something interesting. I'll be looking forward to Chrono Clock. Teeku
